I will try using assorted colors of spray paint enamel on my old 1982 Ford Jamboree to try to breath some new life into its appearance.

I AM SO HAPPY THAT YOU SHOWED US HOW IT HELD UP MONTHS LATER AND WITHOUT BEING WASHED 1ST. IT LOOKS GREAT!
Thank you so much
this is one of the most helpful exterior rv painting videos i’ve seen- thanks!!
Nice job Jim, lot of patience and possibly lots of beer?
Thank you, so much. I had a lot of problems with dripping..So going slow is the secret
If you don't have paper like he did when he started the larger areas, do the tape like he did then when spraying near the edge use a piece of cardboard to slip under the tape and keep it in the areas you're currently spraying. That helps reduce the overspray. Alternately, drop some acetone or paint remover on a rag and wipe those areas that got overspray.
Great work
Great job! It looks fantastic! Kudos for your patience!
Looking good Jim. I love a good spray bomb paint job. I follow the ten rulewhen it comes to stuff like that. If it looks good from ten feet away, its good enough!
This is great. Am trying this👏
Fantastic! This is an excellent cheat, I just may be brave enough to attempt this.
Wow so much better... great tips
Very nicely done!!!
Nice. Looks really good.
Nice job. Looks great.
Genius!!!! Love it!
It looks really nice ! You did a wonderful job !
I’m fixing to do that on all my graphics on my Rv and will buy that tape gun !! Thank you for all the quality information !!
Awesome job mate love it
Great tip about the light coats and not getting drips!
It looks damn good

Great job!
Great job
Great work 👏
Superb job bud.
Great job sir
Good job
Great job. Perfect for the average guy. Same technique could be used on enclosed trailers.
😱😱😱😱😱😨where has that paper gun been all my life......
This was helpful
nice report, big like
you made a 40 year old look like a 20 year old, LOL, beer has the same effect !
So when you were 20 you would have wanted a fetus.
Good job, now you can buy fixer uppers & resale for a profit...
looks great! have you thought about a clear coat over your paint?
It never crossed my mind. I forgot about even trying a clear coat at the time and now I would not want to tape all of that off again. Seems to be holding up just fine. Jim
how did you prep it ?
We are restoring a 1977 HR.
Thanks for your video really appreciate your insight. Me and my wife also acquired a 40~ year old RV and are looking to do what you did here. When you painted the back with exterior white latex paint did you put primer on first?
I don't think so no. I believe it was Paint & primer in one latex
@@fullmoonadventureclub thanks for replying! Appreciate it big time! Just subscribed :)
How did you prep?
Absolutely incredible. I’m about to help my niece repaint a small vintage camper. It’s half the size of your RV. What do you think of spray painting the entire thing instead of using a roller on the main white areas? I’m really good with a spray can btw.
I think it would work just fine.
@@fullmoonadventureclubthanks! I did a test section with the white and the turquoise for the accent stripe and it looks really great. Fortunately the seller has stripped most of the paint off already.
@anthonychicoine9372 I never did use clear coat after my paint job but a lot of people recommended I do so. Food for thought if you want a more glossy finish. Good luck and happy camping.
What is that golden color called?
What kind of spray paint ?
Did you put any type of primer on any of this?
I probably should have but no. It's actually holding up great. I basically pressure washed it wiped it with a dry rag and let it rip. This is obviously not ideal conditions but I was currently traveling full time and camping on the side of Mount Saint Helens volcano. I happen to have some color match paint, tape, paper, and time of my hands. The process actually took weeks while I was in different campsites doing small sections at a time. It hasn't chipped, peeled, faded, and is pretty scratch-resistant to brush. I think a clear coat would have been great but mine doesn't have that either. By all means do a better job than I did. But I think this video proves that you can make improvements with limited funds on the road. I hope that helps. Thanks for the question and happy camping. Jim
@@fullmoonadventureclub ok thanks
I’m laughing because I just watched blm looters/antifa rioters paint an entire downtown area with graffiti. So the answer is probably yes you can spray paint an rv 😹
