    I was crewing on a 485 and at some point a 595 docked next to us in Gibraltar. I was bold enough to ask for a tour and they granted me one.
    What a stunning boat and so much bigger than the 56 I also crew on.
    Just beautiful.

      I love the fact you work on an Oyster and you obviously love what you do and I get it, we picked up a boat for delivery early this year in Palma, and next to us was a Hallberg Rassy on the next pontoon there were two Amel 60's and a lot of Oysters which was just fantastic. Thank you for watching and I might be a little jealous of your job.😍😁

    Yay, thank you! Your review was literally the highlight of my day. What a magnificent boat!
    Things I love about it: top notch craftsmanship, fast and really fun to sail, extremely easy to handle short handed (you can reef by pressing the buttons-my understanding is that there are manual overrides if things go wrong), beautiful design, awesome mood lighting, extremely functional deck and sub-deck space. My very few pet peeves: somewhat steep descent into the saloon with not enough hand holds (as Tobby Hodges pointed out), limited availability for solar panels (even with the soft ones option on the Bimini), not enough freezer space (e.g. for 3 weeks at sea with 6-7 people during a crossing).
    If I won the lottery while I'm still not too old for deep exploration I would probably still go for the Garcia 60 but if I was rich, past 65 and looking to enjoy life, or still had career obligations and just wanted to sail a few months in luxury and comfort, it would be Oyster, no doubt.

      My thoughts exactly, I delivered a Lagoon 51 earlier this year and one of the other skippers was of a similar mind. If he won the Lottery or managed to sell his business for a good profit he would buy an Oyster and have a crew to make life easy on board, but like most of us it would be a Garcia or an Allures.

    Its a nice sailboat but won't fit in Aberystwyth Marina & some of the windows are the wrong way up.

    • @SVTONICBoatWives
      @SVTONICBoatWives ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think you are going to have to get on to that Marina and tell them to dredge it a little bit so you can park your new yacht;🤩😁

      I am yes, I can't say anything at the moment but we will changing things over the next two years as there are some very cool projects in the works. This channel will start to get much more technical with engines, electrics, tech and so on to give you guys a much deeper insight into all the yachts we visit and answer more of your questions. I hope you will continue to follow us on both channels because we really do appreciate all of our subscribers and your input and suggestions.😁🤩😘

    A beautiful cruising yacht particularly with the extended transom. I noticed opening hull ports in the heads and galley - presumably as this is not an EU boat? The backwash those seascape windows produce - I'd want the windows flush with the outer hull as it would drive me nuts otherwise. But what a platform to watch the world go by from.

    What a dream boat! Is it really upwards of $5M?

    • @YachtingInsider
      @YachtingInsider  ปีที่แล้ว

      In $ I am not sure, prices have changed a lot since covid so??? I also think it depends on the options you are looking for but these boats come well-loaded with most of what you need for world cruising; 😁😄

      Ok, disclaimer for me as the price might change but you can start around 2.5 to 3 million and up depending on options.

    How about addressing the 2 glaring elephants in the room when it comes to these so called blue water cruisers ....1 Bolt on hulls..2 Unprotected blade rudders!

    • @davidmcfaull3162
      @davidmcfaull3162 ปีที่แล้ว

      They lost a keel on an 85 some years ago..

    • @constantinealexandrakis
      @constantinealexandrakis 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Uhm, you mean bolt on keels (instead of hulls)? Like the majority of boats crossing oceans every day? How about the centerboard option? How about having two rudders instead of one so that if one gets damaged you have a working one? It's not so-called, it's the real thing.
