I love this style of tutorial. It's straight to the point without me frustratingly screaming "I don't care about that!!!!" at the screen and frustratingly clicking the timeline just trying to find what I'm looking for. I sat through the whole thing, followed along and didn't feel like my time was wasted. I got what I came for and walked away enlightened.
How do I keep the volumetric fog out of areas it's not supposed to be? Like in buildings and stuff? I need to be able to see inside interiors while outside and not see fog in them, and also see exterior areas from inside these buildings and see the fog outside. I feel like this should be easy I just don't know what I'm missing. Do I need to use Local Volumetric Fog for this, and if so, how do I retain the lighting and god ray effect on my exterior areas? Do I just have to make extremely massive Local Volumetric Fogs over my outdoors areas or what?
I have discovered a problem. When using a spot light instead of a directional, there is no shadowing for the volumetrics. Meaning, when your shinning a flashlight in one room. There will be a volumetric glow in another beyond the wall. Quite frustrating.
At 0:28 please ensure you change this drop down from minimal to normal @chingogu @KXSteve - alternatively you will be able to find the volumetric fog dialogue within the details panel
@@jaujud I started to notice looking at the light through my windows that in real life the light shafts also don't seem to appear unless you are facing the light. I guess that might be part of it.
deeeply disapointing, slow down, explain what you are doing, show what you are doing. Other videos might seem boring but they are at a pace people can follow. In time you will be this person, try harderder. content fantasti...I had to stop and rewind a hundred times. WTF man, too many redbulls? Grow up
bro, everyone else had an easy time. Instead of telling someone how to make content, try making it yourself? Also you can always rewind? Seems that you're just slow. Get better before commenting on other peoples work.

I am missing the buttons in the Env. Light Mixer dialog window (create sky light etc...and other buttons to the right)
How do I restore these buttons?
Great work but how do you set it up for an exterior shot? It's not working for me
great video thank you! do you need to enable ray tracing when starting a new project please?
how would you make a spotlight cone in a dark room with no windows or directional lights?

Hi! I can't get the same result when using RayTracing. Is it possible to achieve that look?
can you do this with other light actors?
Any idea why these rays wouldn't appear in the movie render queue?
Perfect👍🏻👏🙏!
when i start my project i dont know what i need to delete or add to get to the point whre you started
what if I want to have godrays for a lightsource which is no directional light?
How can i add the volumetric light with "Ultra Dynamic Sky" ? :S
Why might the 'Real Time Capture' option be inactive?
Amazing. Thank you. May you get ONE MILLION BUCKS for this video. :)
Is it working with raytrace shadow enabled in Ue 5?

@@BrandenArc thanks for the reply. I still can't get it to show up. I'm developing a VR game, is this the reason?
"Create Atmospheric Light"

🙄
Fuck me looking everywhere for an *Atmospheric* light 🤦♂
Does this work the same way for Spotlights?
Thanks
Nice...the only thing I don't get is why the rays dissappear if I move a certain distance away or if my viewing angle is different...
Same problem here. Have you figured it out? I'm not seeing any light shafts if not looking to the direction of the light.

Just wondering why I still have no real visible fog in my scene after following this.
