102-0: The Story Behind Valorant's Craziest Win Streak

  • Vision Strikers got their start in Valorant with an insane 102-0 series run.
    And even though the win streak has since been broken, Vision Strikers were Korea’s Valorant pioneers.
    Until now, Korea had League of Legends, StarCraft, Overwatch, and the rest of the world had CS:GO.
    But, thanks to Vision Strikers' record, Korean Valorant now has its sights set on the rest of the world.

      Also the Teams are making in CSGO way more money than in Valorant.
      so go check your facts and make a quick research.
      Also for sure the CSGO Pro Scene has a higher skill level than Valorant--> 8 years vs Valorant 1 year.

    Would be interesting to put that VS used to play in NA server when valorant beta was dropped. We didn't have beta on Korea that time so they had to play with 180 pings, but their 5 stack still got valorant(later radiant) which is highest rank in beta. You might be able to find DaZeD talking about how good they were.

      @Crowoly 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rainxx3207 It seems like Dazed deleted all beta stream vods therefore I tried to find original post that had screenshot of VS 5 stack with DaZeD face but somehow I couldn't. Original poster also might delete it too but idk why.
      Although it's been a year and my brain don't really remember it exactly, To explain this.
      That was actually not full VS roster stack. VS had stax, termi(their head coach), argency(coach) and other two. Possibly glow and rb or esperanza(former RIO player). I remember few members still didn't decide to pursue career in Valorant so that's probably why. Those 2 were not using self-indicating nickname so I am not sure about this. All five were valorant.
      All five people were having 180-200 ping and they managed to clinch 12-11 against DaZeD and his co in Haven. iirc as soon as DaZeD knew they are Korean he just briefly said "They are really good" and has gone speechless. That's just it lol. Pretty sure they went OT but couldn't remember who has won.
      They were kinda famous in NA beta ranked so you might be able to find them in other NA people's a year old stream or vods. Riot devs(Volcano 5 stack) met them in unrated, TenZ also talked about it too, although he probably would have met them off stream. He just said he was surprised about how far Korea is from NA and about how well they performed yet.

Then VS wouldn't do much there no offence tho.. Even one of my fave teams having Kehmicals,Rossi,Shotup,Genghsta(Immortals) is not even on the playoffs scene.. Then its better for VS to stay at their own region league bruh.. No offence.. Korea does have a decent fps esports history with sudden attack back then and we did have some mechanically crazy players. I think currently valorant still needs a bit more time before becoming a major thing in korea. It didn't leave the best impression at first purely because many people were expecting hyper fps like OW but valorant scene is definitely getting better and I think the game definitely has good potential.

      It's not that they play for fun and as much as people just know them as players who aim for "youtube clips" cuz thats why f4q are known for. Some of f4q are basically ex-pros just like Efina (former Quantum Strikers/TNL which is former sister team of VS) and Bunny zunba from OW. Even if they say they just in it for the fun and to make an impact, they are basically prepped all the way.

    Tbf, I get the narrative that is trying to be told, but the east (and obviously south korea) were a powerhouse for what, 2-3 years in cs 1.6 though. Whislt their results definitely lacked and lacks in GO, they were INSANELY dominant for a period and threw everyone for a loop when they entered the scene seemingly out of thin air back in 1.6 haydays. And that says a lot, considering NA and Sweden/EU had stamps to top 1-3 placements.
    They even mentioned Termi who was a freaking LEGEND on the insanely talented team project_kr, which in, funnily or ironically, he was teammates with solo who is in the NUTURN Valorant team who "overtook them" :P
    There were obviously other eastern teams well around that time, like WnV who I think most people from that time also remember being insanely good and dominant. And it's no surprise they had the "go aggro" style in CS:GO, as being aggressive was what took everyone in the western world by surprise in cs 1.6. The eastern teams played so aggressive that T's on dust2 were often caught off-guard being flanked form behind when they were hanging around on cat. Which was just unheard of at the time.
