My very first bike is a 1986 Suzuki Intruder VS700. Bought it for 750 USD and put about 2000 USD into it to fix some problems the previous owner caused with the bike. After a year of waiting to come back from the shop it runs great. I love cruiser bikes and would honestly love to own a little 250 like this as a backup bike. Thank you for the video and stay safe out there on the road.
I bought this bike a year ago and love it..... perfect for getting to and from work. I cruise at 100kmph on the freeway and its quick enough off at the lights.
I bought this bike couple of months ago I am 55 yrs old and 5ft 3 and weigh 52 kgs i love this bike it goes where you want it to go and ive had it to 120 no problem and will go a bit more even up high hills, it has given me so much confidence as a learner , i would recommend it for any one , love it
"I'm scared...", haha, remember first learning to ride and feeling the same way! Once you have a go and get a bit of confidence, you wonder why you didn't start sooner and your life feels more 'complete' from learning how to ride. Great video!
G'Day mate, I think this bike would be great for you to learn on. It's not big and heavy and the seat is at a good height so you will feel more confident on it. Nay is 5 foot, 6 inches and she had never riden a bike like this before and was not confident about riding, but after a very short time she was riding around no problems at all. I'm 6 foot and 85kgs and I take this bike out every now and then for a spin... it's a fun little bike. Hope this helps! Cheers... Mark
I recently bought my first bike and cant stay off it. While waiting for my girlfriend to finish work I put $30 in the pokies and won $10,000! Ended up going out the next day and buying a Suzuki intruder 250cc with only 845km on the clock for $3600 and I gotta say it's a comfortable fairly quick ride that looks and handles real well (from my limited experience that is). cruise around comfortably at 110km and reaches just over 130km with a little strain.
Yeah I'm very proud of her! Nay did a day course to get her learner permit and now we are just honing her basic skills. We will be going and doing some motorcycle skill courses once she has mastered just the basic stuff and more than anything get her confidence levels up. Cheers... Mark
It's a fantastic looking motorcycle. I have a Bajaj Avenger 220 street. I personally feel if it had been a single long seat, instead of 2 seperate ones it would ve enhanced the bike's looks. But then again, it's just an opinion. Beautiful, sweet little ride, it is.
Im 5'5 and i love this bike. I have an old Kwaka zzr as well but the zuk is my go to bike for every day riding. The counter steer push on this bike just feels effortless,You sink in to the seat.
Hola moteros!yo tengo una igual y actualmente he recorido mas de 100.000 km.solo puedo decir que es una de las mejores y fiables.con esta moto me he puesto a casi 150km/h.y lo aguanta todo.
Thanks mate, yeah you see them here too and I'm the same... I picture what would happen when they come off and it gives me the heebee geebees too. Cheers Mark
G'Day mate, the bike is still being run in at the moment so we have not pushed it to it's limits yet. I did take it for a short burst up the highway with Nay on the back and it did 100kms easy and had more in the throttle. The bike has only done about 180kms so far. Cheers... Mark
Nice bike, and it sounds pretty robust for a 250. I always get nervous watching a beginner take those first baby steps. Naomi did well, but I'm hoping there is a motorcycle safety course in her future?
G'Day mate, no sure what to say here, except if you thrash a bike it's gunna be a thrashed bike... and you know what that means! If your looking for real grunt and lots of speed buy a bigger bike it will save you hassles down the track. Cheers... Mark
G'Day mate, Nay's bike has only done 200kms... so it's still being run in, but I can say it does happly sit on 100kms an hour and will do 110kms without to much fuss. I had myself and Nay on the bike and we did 100kms an hour no problem! I have not pushed it yet as I want to run it in properly. Cheers... Mark
I love the new paint job for them. Shame they only brought it out last year. I'm looking into second hand one's from pre-2012 and it's a choice between black and black.
on a side note i have been known to kick my bike in the guts sometimes and really try to push it, that could be a problem down the line, depending how it handles the high speeds.
This bike looks great and I'm thinking of buying a used one in Sydney. I've read of some people having trouble in cold weather though - the engine just dying when temperatures drop below 7 degrees Celsius. Have you had any trouble in cold weather in NSW? Thanks!
Hey mate. Great video and hope you're still going strong! I read below in a comment that you would suggest anyone over 6 foot look at bigger cruisers for learners. I'm about to buy my first bike and I'm 6'1. Could you recommend me any other beginer cruisers for a tall rider? I was going to buy one of these but after reading your comment I'm having second thoughts. Thanks, Sven.
hey mark, i have a question i am in a position to buy the 250 intruder (can't remember the year) and everything i found says it's a good bike but the question of speed comes up a bit. the research I've done say the bike is happy to cruise at 80 but up around that mark it tends to feel strained, given where i live i have to take the freeway which is a 110 speed limit, basically I'm looking for advice, can the bike handle the high speeds and does it require a lot of care ? and help would be great
G'Day mate, the bike would be fine, but I think you'll find the other larger LAMS approved bikes would be a lot better for your size. If you got this bike I think you'll only be wishing you got a bigger one. Cheers... Mark
How does this bike ride on the highways at speeds of 100-110km/h? Does it struggle at all or feel like it's being pushed to it's limits? Because I've read somewhere the top speed of the Intruder is only about 110-120km/h. Nice video by the way :)
Great vid!! I know you mentioned you are 6ft. I am also 6 ft, 100kg and looking to buy one of these as an entry level bike. Do you think I will be too big for it? Should I go for one of the bigger LAMS approved bikes? I don't want to look like a gorilla on a tricycle. Thanks!
I'm picking up a 2014 Suzuki intruder soon ..I can not see other 2014 models around for parts ..can you help me or are the old Suzuki intruders interchangeable in parts as I don't like the single exhaust ..
Is this bike suitable for women shorter than Nay? I'm 155cm (5'1) and about 50kg. I'm looking for my first bike. This looks like a great one to learn on and it's really pretty!
@@BikerBits thanks! I’ve settled on a Yamaha XV250 after talking to a friend of mine who is the same height. She has that one and it’s pretty comfortable to sit on. It’s going to be my gift to myself when I finish my law degree 🎓. Thanks for the great video! Good work.
Good clip. Have u ridden a virago/xv/vstar? Almost identical bike. I think the intruder may sound a little better, look a bit more substantial, and have a little more hp. Thoughts? Cheers.
I've had my intruder for some time now and have ridden from the Canary Islands ( obviously ferry to cross the water!!) to Spain,France,U.K., Italy, Germany, suitzerland, and Morocco. 12.000km, one month.
I don't know if its fuel injected or not but I would not recommend this bike in cold climates. I've have mine for 8 years and whilst I love the bike in summer, its almost UN-rideable in winter. Very dangerous due to Carbie freezing.
hey mate. Hows the bike handle doing the 110km for long periods of time? I'm thinking of getting one but really want it for as the name suggests, cruising around outside the city. Now I'm 100kg and 6'1'', which I've heard can make it hard for the bike to do the 110 over long distances.
Hey i am gonna buy my first Bike and i wanna travel through Australia with it, i need a reliable bike that would perform well on a bit more tricky roads, could you recomend this one?
G'day Mark, I've got a '05 GZ250, similar to the Intruder but only one piston. Was wondering if you could point me at info on putting floorboards on it. Got it for the girlfriend but she's gone and it isn't so I'm looking at ways of making it more 6 foot 2" friendly. Was thinking about 14" apes also. Cheers... Alex

how can one not like see a woman going for her first bike. thumbs up. hope she has a lot of fun with it and you enjoy a lot of journeys.
+tatoismus - thanks mate! :-)
Nice little bike! Good luck to the lady. May she have many decades of enjoyment on motorcycles.

You look like a tall guy, yet the bike accomodates your legs just nicely; no small feat for a 250cc custom. Thanx for the review bro !

Am getting a 250 tommorow for my first bike and am as tall as this guy if I look as cool as he does on it I should be fine 😂😂
''DO A WHEELIE''
Sweet looking 250 though, and sounds surprisingly awesome, even with the stock pipe
G'day mate, LOL :-) it really does have a great sound to it! Cheers... Mark
G'Day mate, Thanks and they are a great bike for learning! Cheers... Mark

Was looking at getting a 2000 model for my first LAM bike, seems nice
Great Looking Bike...
+Book'em Danno - thanks! :-)
Check out Nay's new 2012 Suzuki Intruder 250. We do a quick rundown on the bike and take it for a little spin. See Nay learning to ride a motorcycle.
nice video, what part of australia?
G'day Calvin, thanks mate and this is Bendigo, Victoria. Cheers... Mark
on a side note i have been known to kick my bike in the guts sometimes and really try to push it, that could be a problem down the line, depending how it handles the high speeds.
Nay looks much better on it then you do, Good vid Thanks for posting
G'day Cory, we got them from bikercom . com If you see the update video on the channel... all the info is in that. Cheers... Mark

Have you had any trouble in cold weather in NSW? Thanks!
Looks Good. I am impressed with the helmet and jacket. Get that girl some boots. She will do well hanging out with you.
+Kat Astrophe Thanks and yes she now has motorcycle boots! :-)
Lots better than today's bike
Hey mate. Great video and hope you're still going strong!

Thanks Joe, didn't realise I missed putting it in! :-) Cheers... Mark

thanks for the advice, so between you and me think it's worth it ?
Hey Mark, do you recommend the suzuki stock windscreen for highway riding?
Very nice bike ride
G'Day Diego, sorry mate I have no idea! I've never ridden a Laro Pro 350. Cheers... Mark
Beautiful bike, I once had a brand new GN250 single pot, Suzuki , Suzuki make top gear👍👍👍
G'day Sam, great stuff mate :-) Cheers... Mark
Great vid!! I know you mentioned you are 6ft. I am also 6 ft, 100kg and looking to buy one of these as an entry level bike. Do you think I will be too big for it? Should I go for one of the bigger LAMS approved bikes? I don't want to look like a gorilla on a tricycle. Thanks!
G'Day Rodrigo, I would say between 90kms to 100kms an hour. Cheers... Mark
how tall are you mate? thinking about the 250 for myself... im 6"3 though
6 foot
She is really pretty! The bike is nice looking too...
I cant believe it started with the kickstand still down ...do you disconnect ? I did pain in the arse !
G'day mate, yeah it starts with the kickstand down and in neutral. If you are in gear with the stand down, it won't start. Cheers... Mark
Well done to Nay, seems to have good low speed control already :) ps nice wee bike
I'm picking up a 2014 Suzuki intruder soon ..I can not see other 2014 models around for parts ..can you help me or are the old Suzuki intruders interchangeable in parts as I don't like the single exhaust ..
Hi there,

Why such beautiful retro bikes is not launch in India.
Good clip. Have u ridden a virago/xv/vstar? Almost identical bike. I think the intruder may sound a little better, look a bit more substantial, and have a little more hp. Thoughts? Cheers.
+Cam 76 Thanks mate... I think I would have to agree! :-)
I've had my intruder for some time now and have ridden from the Canary Islands ( obviously ferry to cross the water!!) to Spain,France,U.K., Italy, Germany, suitzerland, and Morocco. 12.000km, one month.
is this bike smaller than the yamaha virago 250?
Similar size! 👍
Great Bike .
hello! how much is cruising speed?
I don't know if its fuel injected or not but I would not recommend this bike in cold climates. I've have mine for 8 years and whilst I love the bike in summer, its almost UN-rideable in winter. Very dangerous due to Carbie freezing.

Long distance at your weight I think 100kms would be fine but 110kms would working it to hard.
How does this bike comper to the laro pro 350?
What's the top speed? MPH in USA speak?
Can't get these in the States. :(
I want to know how Nay's doing now? Is she a better rider? Did she upgrade yet? Nay's tell us!!!!

Is it okay for a 6,5 ft rider?
Would be a bit crapped!
