looking forward to the next part! :) i love learning craftsmanship like this. the technique of using a (bearing?) to outline the body was brilliant. thanks for sharing this series.
Ah, yes! I was hoping for a series like this! I MUCH enjoyed the violin series, again and again, and was hoping you'd do one on a larger string instrument. Thank you so much!
Climbing mountain Everest and making an instrument like this by hand are of the same achievement, except you don't die frozen making a musical instrument!
Please could someone give me a hint on how to take off the ebony scale glued from Cello arm. Luthiery'm learning by myself, because I live far from the large urban centers of my country. I intend to form a first musical group with stringed instruments in my municipality. I am very grateful.
still waiting for part 2!!
I am too...👴
@@blackychan8570 same here i love this video
I loved the video of the making of quartet of peace instruments, i can't wait to see the cello finished!

Wow, your precision and attention to detail are absolutely breathtaking. I hope to have the chance to play one of your instruments someday.
Awesome video! So clear and done very well.
This is awesome and fascinating
Love the video; the musical accompaniment, video composition. Very well done! Part two?? 🙏
Very nice! If ever you end up getting a part 2 done, (or equivalent to it) I would find it very interesting!
Thanks for the upload :)

Are there any more parts to this still up on TH-cam somewhere?
Thank you for sharing
What are the pieces being played over the video? I absolutely love them!
wheres part 2?
Looking at my cello I never realize it took that much patience and time to make just the body itself
What is the title of the music? It’s beautiful
There were two. Bach Suite 5 and Song of the Birds by Casals
@@beatricedubois7377 thank you sooo much!
That was wonderful! I can't wait to see more! Where does one start in learning the art of stringed instrument making?
Que bom, mais vídeos!!!

Hide glue is heat sensitive, so warm it up, and pry it off with something thin and sharp
Wellington Amancio Were you able to form the group?
still no part 2
Where is part two?
how does one get the measure for the frame? I have no clue in case i wanted to start my own thing :( would you give me any ideas or anyone?
Who is overtone singing in the video?
I too would like to know more about the second piece.
Owesy Woesy the second piece I think is an arrangement of El Cant Dels Ocells (The Song of the Birds) by Pablo Casals
It sounds like the Fujara, a bass overtone flute
Gareth Lubbe is the overtone singer in this recording.
is there a part two
that was cool i will do one from amy
how long did this take?
What is the name of pieces
Yes I made the frame.
Got here by asking Google "on a scale of 1 to 10, how hard is it to make a cello?" It's apparently a 15... never mind then.
whats the name of the first music piece?
I believe it's Reverie, by Debussy.
thanks:)
and me too (two)
I guess this is not carved/solid wood right ?
the tops and backs are carved from (usually) two glued pieces of wood each to a very thin dome-like shape.
It'd be nice if ya edited out the sounds. Just sayin'
I guess gave up on making cellos and focused on cats instead.
Sell me one for 5k usd! XD
Awesome video! So clear and done very well.
