Wouldn't surprise me if he actually did build his own house! It's not an impossible feat, as I know 3 people who've done it. Of course you don't do all the work yourself, but you're heavily involved in every step of the process ^_^ Ryoya-san could definitely do it!
Everybody has different levels of ambition and passion. No need to look down on yourself for not having a massive range of things you want to do. Ryoya is simply a disciplined man who has a lot of things he wants to do. There's nothing wrong with not having a world of things you want.

So fascinating! It took me 5 hours to cut and sand a wooden spoon. How many weeks did you stay in the workshop? Your craftsmanship is so impressive. I wish I can be half as good as you are. Thanks for sharing such a cool DIY project
i'm interested in instrument building for a long time now. i always watch videos on youtube how someone is building a guitar a violin or a piano. it must feel great to build your own instrument i wish you good luck with that :)

How does 1 person find so many things to do??? Making pottery, travel photography, cooking, espresso expert, music playing, making instruments, carpentry, wtffff. All I do all day is work a 9-5, eat, and poop. Even if I quit my job I still wouldn't have the energy or even basic knowledge to think up stuff like this to do. Man it must be nice having dreams and goals. Wonder what that's like....
Same man. I have no motivation whatsoever. And if you can pardon my lack of modesty I am a fairly talented person; I can paint, learn new languages quickly, translate and interpret, I'm pretty good at diy -s and have a vast knowledge of literature and history, but having a bit of talent truly means nothing I guess if you have no motivation or aspirations. :(( I feel like I'm waisting my life, lol.
Whatever you do..it's always engrossing to watch. You're so sincerely immersed in this, am sure you'll finish it within this year. All the tools looked new.. Did you buy them or are they from the workshop? Your teacher seemed so humble and very precise in his instructions. My respects to him🙏 #Gratitude
