Harpsichord strings vibrate as they are pinched, producing their enchanting sounds and these sounds pinch the soul with musical beauty.

Johann Gottfried Müthel (1728, Mölln, Lauenburg - 1788, Riga; German harpsichordist, organist and composer). One of J. S. Bach's last students even lived in his household. Later acquaintances with Hasse, C. Ph. E. Bach and Telemann.
Along with C. Ph. E. Bach, Müthel is considered a main representative of the Sturm und Drang in music. He is attributed to the pre-classic, whose representatives consciously broke with the stylized forms of the baroque and its counterpoint. In contrast to many musicians who collapsed at the dawn of the pre-classic era, Müthel succeeded in developing a new, expressive style of personality. Schubart described his music as "dark, somber, obstinate and unyielding to the fashion taste of his contemporaries. About his playing technique: "Connoisseurs who have heard him play cannot sufficiently admire the ease with which he overcomes mountains of difficulty".

Another CPE Bach sound-alike. Not bad, though.

That's because CPE Bach, Muthel, and others like them were all practitioners of the style known as "Empfindsamer Stil" or "Sensitive Style", a precursor to Sturm und Drang. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empfindsamkeit_(music)
