Hey Taylor! Welcome to Virginia! You are killing it! 1/5 done is impressive. You gotta love an early morning start, the color of the light is just perfect. Huge thanks to all of the angels for the magic, you are so awesome! I can't wait till I walk under the Damascus sign, there is just something about it that hits different. What a banger of a day: big miles, great magic, beautiful views, chores crushed, and SURVIVOR! I hope was as great as it seemed.🙏 Thanks for bringing us along today. I hope tomorrow’s miles are kind. HEISENBERG here! I’m still back before Erwin TN. One day I’ll work up to a 20 mile day and start moving down the trail. I’m not a big fan of night hiking but I’ll do it in a pinch!
You must be ahead of the bubble. Shelters and camps are slammed around me. Even stealth sites are crowded.

What a stunning sunrise to start this mornings video!!!!! I am really enjoying this series and you have a subscriber for life!!!!!
There used to be “long term” trail magic about a half before you cross 91 where you met that couple from NH. A CHURCH IN Mountain City, Tn had a steel, bear proof box painted Orange and contained coolers with iced down drinks, snacks, and stuff like shoe laces! A register notebook was in it also. Idk if it’s still maintained, but it was a very special feature! Not sure if you even saw it, but I thought it was cute @ 6:56 where the trail maintainers had used a chain saw to carve an AT into the end of the tree they cut off!

New subscriber / VA native here, I did 500 miles from Harpers Ferry to Great Barrington Mass in 2018 and I'm now anxiously waiting to see that section of the trail again. Loving the videos, thanks for letting us live vicariously though you! Happy trails!

Love your sight! Following multiple ATC hikers-but yours's is the best. Learning so much about the differences between the ATC and the PCT or desert hiking (most of my experience). Hope to do the ATC by sections in the next few years. The fact that you go fast and often stop in towns appeals to my hiking style. Too old to camp a bunch of nights in a row unless absolutely necessary :). 25+ day hikes is routine for me but have never done that more than 3 days in a row. Have a great Virginia!-I'll be testing some work gear on the ATC at Shenendoah in May-you will probably already be through-but I'll carry a couple of extra candy bars just in case.

Wow my friend lives in Abingdon Va about 12 miles from that state line you passed. Small world and beautiful area. I was there last April, another reason it's a small world lol. This is great time of year to pass through there, enjoy and happy Trails.

Good morning, Taylor. Just found your vlog and noticed you are at Lady Di’s! I hiked with her for a good portion of the AT and we completed around the same time! My trail name was Crouton! Me and Lady Di had an ongoing bracelet competition to see who could have the most by trail’s end and she won. If you see this in time, maybe you could mention it and say hi!

Looking back on your last AT thru hike, you crossed the VA border and got into Damascus on Day 30. So your just ahead of your previous pace at this point on the trail. Congratulations! How are you feeling about your hike relative to last time?
Taylor love love love your video but I think some outro music would be a nice touch at the end of each video. I believe you are familiar with Frozen’s videos. Simple 4-5 second outro music adds a nice touch. Maybe it’s adds some consistency to end of each video.

Hi Taylor, hoping you can review how your unbound 40 is doing compared to your old HMG. I have the Junction 3400 and initially i was really eyeing the unbound 40's big side pockets that can collapse as well, but the smaller size (40L vs 55 L) scares me and the back pocket doesn't seem to stretch as much as the Junction's. Can you comment these things?

Yesterday....i went to the beach!! It was sunrise.. I went to the Ocean....I live very close by...on Long Island....I saw a mermaid!! So I asked her...what do you CLEAN your fins with...she said.....TIDE!!!!

You hiked marathon level miles, jumped on a bike to go get dinner, and still did chores! Wow! I would have been crawling into the hostel just after the hike. Loved the early morning sunrise colors, the iconic barn, and views of Damascus. Can’t wait for the triple crown and Blue Mountain views.❤
Deer eyes look yellow. I see them all the time. I alway feel nervous when I sleep during a hike too. If you are worried about cats. Put a toy animal with Google eyes. Cats and dogs won’t stalk you if they think you can see them.
