  • The creator economy is steadily growing and grabbing a larger portion of the global market, with spending in this sector estimated to be worth over $16 billion. An increasing number of people are consuming content created by individuals instead of corporations which has resulted in more marketers shifting their budgets into sponsoring influencers. In addition, data shows that kids now prefer becoming TH-cam stars rather than astronauts - highlighting how much impact these creators have had on our culture! #korea #koreanwave #kpop #economics #economicsexplained #education

Soft power is definitely an interesting area to look into with massive impact on the economy.
Just a quick side note for future videos - might be worth looking up whether the stock images and bgm is actually related to the country you're speaking of. The girl holding the umbrella is not Korean culture, nor is the music. It can actually be really offensive to bunch Asian culture together and think it relates to one particular country.

@@DavidCruickshank Japan has started taking migrants in the last few years but they are way too late. Korea is a lot less xenophobic and they take in more migrants. Also there is always the peospects of reunification where SK will have access to 25m extreme low skill labour that is not only completely Korean but also very demographically backwards and would have a population explosion given economic growth. Also there literally is no alternative to immigration. Robots don’t replace jobs, they just upgrade them. Also robots can not consume or pay taxes which is like 70% of the economic benefit of a citizen. SK could turn the North into a giant people farm. NK could literally double in population given the extreme economic growth it sould experience under southern control but also if they give large family subsidies and incentives SK would have solved its demographic crisis instantly.

I think this is just the Korean version of what happened to Japan on the 80s and 90s. It won't be as bad for the economy when it slows down because of Koreans relative ease to changing things vs how Japanese do things. I hope they take the opportunity to diversify their industry more and bring new players to their economy that are not just Samsung kia and kakao.

I also feel like there is gonna be a high demand on marketing jobs cuz it will eventually be a very huge international market for beauty more than it already is.
I can only imagine the possibilities on the food industries that Korea will have. Beauty products is one thing, but with more growth in the K-drama Industry there will be more expectations from consumers I assume. But that's just my opinion anything can happen really

Korea has a long way to go. Korea cannot become the next China(too small landmass to manufacture at scale) , nor can it become the next Japan(way less US influence). I think Korea can best be compared to Singapore.
China is the only country that has both wealth of resources, political stability and skilled labour to the manufacturer of the world.
All in all, the world will move on once it has experienced enough Korean drama and cosmetics and other products. My prediction being, by 2040 either China or some NATO country (USA/ Germany/ UK) will emerge as a clear dominant power.
