The reason they teach you these things in school is to hone in on your fine motor skills so you are capable of doing things precisely should it be necessary. It's not that "that's the way it should be done" it's teaching you proper motor skills with your hands.

With left handed people such as myself, correcting somethings in school to only work with your right hand just doesn’t work and leaves kids with this weird ambidextrous -ness that ends up giving them less fine motor skills than if they had just been able to use their left hand
its so interesting to see everyones different baking styles... if that makes sense? In my class some people would focus on taste, some on appearance, some a combo of both... then there are ones who make bright green cupcakes
I can completely relate! I’m left handed and for some reason I can’t hold a pencil the “proper” way, so i do it a bit differently. One day my teacher came up to me and said that the way I held my pencil was “wrong and completely unacceptable.” 10 years later and I still write the same way and I’ve never figured out how to use chopsticks.
Reasons this person might not try this : 1 Not everyone has access to good cardamom. 2 Even if they do have access to it depending on the area it can be ridiculously expensive. 3 Some people just don't like Cardamom 4 Some people have cardamom allergies. That being said I'm curious what the 50/50 Cinnamon and Cardamom ones would taste like.
@@deborahprice473 Jesus ma’am, obviously if you don’t like it or are allergic don’t do it. It was a suggestion from a recipe I tried and liked. Not every recipe online is for everyone. Calm down. You aren’t the main character Deb 😂

Indeed but school want to make sure you are capable of taking your time. You can’t always do things with just good enough either. So they make sure children learn to make sure to make things properly. Not perfectly but properly .
Very true, I’m not a left handed person myself, but it’s terrible how you guys get a bad wrap and how you’re supposed to be perfect in everything you do. I love to go chaotic in my life and always wear the same socks, but two different ones
How most scissors are made don't work for lefties, the blades close the wrong direction. Changed my life the first time I used left handed scissors. Also ball point pens, I kill them fast as writing left to right left handed pushes the ball point back instead of rolling along. Oh and baseball gloves for lefties. Loved baseball but they only had right handed gloves, hurt my hand catching without a glove quite a few times.
This is such a cute channel please keep uploading!!! I love this idea of cinnamon roll bundles i will definitely be trying this out. I recently became okay-ish at kneading dough hahah the first batch of flour tortillas i made came out more like fry bread but now that i am better at kneading they come out soft!! I still have room to improve though
Imperfections are things that we have to live with we can't live without imperfections in our life but I always try to make things perfect because that is the only way I can achieve the maximum result but perfections are like infinity you are always just near it but never at it
I have been writing since I was 3 1/2, and my kindergarten teacher told me that only boys can be left-handed. She forced me to use my right hand for everything. 50 years later, I can do anything with both hands, except write. I love your videos.
I'm kinda weird with hating things that are too perfect, too simmetrical ect, but don't allow anything but perfection when it comes to artsy stuff and colors and books being in order lol
It called being a professional and holding yourself to a higher standard by striving towards your perceived perfection. Hopefully, later passing on your perfected skills to the next generation. Or you can’t just say “I don’t care, it still taste good.”
I always held scissors in a weird way and my kindergarten teachers and primary school teachers tried to teach me how to use it correctly but it just felt very uncomfortable for my hand. My mom just said that I could cut nicely so she didn't mind.
The scissoring, coloring in the line isn't there to teach you rules. It's important cause it helps your small motoric muscles to develop better. The important part is trying to do it the best way you can. Basically to use your muscles with intent.
Not really. Most tools are both functionally and ergonomically designed for right handed people. So using it with your left hand is more difficult or straight up ineffective/inefficient. Don't believe me? Go online and buy tools that have been customized for lefties. Try using them for a day. You'll get it.😊
Bc I’m left handed I righted the wrong way and I why get in trouble so much but bc most of my 1st year class what right handed I followed just in a left handed way sorry that doesn’t make sense lol
My kindergarten teacher once scolded me for drawing “too realistic”
They had a point though

I have been traumatized I thought it was slime until I listened to the audio
Is no one going to talk about the hazmat suit and bug sprayer the person is wearing at the end of the vid?

No, but why did they get mad at us for stuff like that tho? Elementary teachers could not leave lefties alone- except when we asked for help
