- Electric car company Tesla is set to share its earnings report Tuesday as CEO Elon Musk lays out a strategic plan to get the automaker off a rocky road that includes slumping car sales, sliding shares, a recall of its cybertrucks, more potential layoffs and political scuffles. NBC’s Tom Costello reports for TODAY.

SPY , IVV hitting the scene so far. These ETF's doing just fine. Despite fluctuations in capital market ,certain amount of ETF's do well. Maybe scary for Tesla investors atm.
Personally I put down 1.3m$ on few ETFs, still diversifying. It was this time last year I made my first million with a liquid 200k. Invested it in a trader here in CA, I get weekly pay out which I invest back on long term ETF's. Google will be a huge buy for me when the market bottoms.

I have co-works here at a factory I work at that Lease/ buy new pricey cars. These workers here earn 17$ hourly. Everyone here are overspending!!
This factory job is not stable!!. Just glad I paid off my house last week, have zero credit card debt and drive a 16 year old car. Will drive it for another 10 years. These jobs are not stable!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plan B:
1. Face more shareholder lawsuits
2. Rush out Robotaxi due to repeatedly bad earnings report
3. Similar to cyber truck accelerator pedal, end up creating kamikaze taxi.
4. Have shareholder lawsuits become least of your companies’ legal woes.
5. Get pressured to step down as CEO of Tesla and eventually SpaceX
4. Adjust your “100 hour work week” from 70 hrs Twitter/30 hrs K-hole to 100 hours tweeting while in a K-hole.
5. Enjoy billions and zero repercussions.
Optional: father an additional 9-15 children (with 3-6 additional women) and give them increasingly unpronounceable names.
He's basically his own private equity firm at this point.
We don't need a cheaper vehicle because a used model 3 is already cheap enough for the whole market.
Problem being that in order to get used cars someone has to buy new cars.
He's got a big mouth so he should face the pressure. You want to talk a big game, You better back it up. Not to mention there's a lot more competition in the EV space so Tesla is not going to dominate anymore.
Talks about hyper loop, neurolink, mars terraforming and what not.
Time to prove he’s the best else the brand value will fall down because other car makers are also producing similar product for a cheaper rate

@@Coconinga Hyundai and GM don't make only EVs so they have other vehicles to fall back on. A slowdown in EVs will disproportionately hurt Tesla.

The question to ask the board is - what would Elon Musk do to an employee who did other unprofitable hobby projects while their lack of focus on the job at hand led to profits getting cut in half. If they do nothing, What even is the point of the board and the why shouldnt shareholders sue.

As long as Musk is involved with the company in any way, I'll never buy another Tesla. For that matter, I'll never do business with any company Musk has any involvement in.
It's a mystery why Tesla sales have fallen!! Writing is on the wall, they are to expensive, impractical, people don't want them and the ones who bought them already have them.

Elon is elated. Why? Because a Tesla owner is extremely elated at least twice:
- the day the owner buys and takes delivery
- and the day day the owner sells the beast!

Test drove my sister's model Y and it was mediocre. If you like to feel your entire body feel crushed by the harsh suspension, tesla is a good car for it.
Tesla is the best car company ever! No gas stations, No oil changes, No smog check, No corrupt dealership, No catalytic converter and as fast as a $650,000 Lamborghini.
Can you drive across the country(or even a long drive) without going out the way to find charging? Not being funny. I’m not sold on EVs yet.
That's a ignorant comment. Trouble finding working charging stations because of copper theft, and working available stalls are becoming less and less. A normal drive here means I have to wait 45 min to charge, halfway into my destination. If it's a EV truck I can't tow much at a distance and it has issues at -45C. EV is a pipe dream, limits travel, and with all the fires and snags recently I don't trust them whatsoever. Then let's not mention we don't have the power grid infrastructure for more electricity demands. Wake up
They didn't talk about BYD surpassing Tesla this year. BYD is a copy cat

I used to be interested in Tesla until Musk turned into trump junior. Now, if my ICE car dies permanently, I'll buy an EV, but it won't be a Muskmobile.
Someone like Elon Musk probably works better under pressure. Stocks are long term investments. Up and down is the nature of the stock market. He honestly probably doesn't care about money so much as getting Space X and finding a solution to live elsewhere. Our planet can only have so many inhabitants...
