I actually enjoy this more than regular diving.
cant blame you Sir
@@andrewrogers5962because it looks more fun and like people are having a good time?
Yes, WAYYYYYYYY more fun!
@andrewrogers5962 Regular diving is obviously more skillful. I only enjoy this because of its absurdity. Its just fun. There really isnt much pressure on the divers because diving badly is really the point of it. 😊
Me too. Crazy af
Dude with his hands behind his back won easily
hehe Classic!
Agreed
I dont know. The guy that took off his shirt in midair then did a perfect dive was pretty awesome lol
@@HumbleDoug it's not belly flop... that's a cat dive....belly flop from that height can be dangerous
Yes he did!
This video made my stomach hurt. This “sport” is obviously made for those of us that have a body like a curling stone.
It is actually easier for big guys to look good doing it :)
Mike i hope you know they pike last second and it doesnt hurt
Mike Not neccesarely, it depends on how you tuck in. I myself is not very big and have no problems dødsing from 10 meters.
@@pandamonarch7917 to 😄
I have done it a couple times and it doesnt hurt at all
Would love to see this in the olympics.
Perfect sport. 10 minutes of practicing and then 0 training neeeeded. Just pure joy. P.S. forgot about bravery
오잉
노르웨이 성님들 유쾌하누
The last kid belly flopped 🤣
I tried: I dislocated my shoulder🙈
Already 6 months with pain, doesn’t go away.
Ouch, I seen a guy just do a dive off the side of a boat and dislocate this shoulder
We called that a "Suicide" off the high dive, back in the 70's
This is way more fun than olympics
Little dude is a badass!
No idea how I go this.
But I did, and now must comment.
Outstanding.
Her reaction @56 was so genuine
Thanks youtube i just found a new sport to watch
Back in 79 I did a flop from a 60ft cliff. Not ever again. Lmao
Better than having been my old neighbor who tried it from 140 feet and never woke up.
@@AWCTB that really sucks. I felt line my skin was going to tear open. Felt like the worst sunburn of my life.
Seeing this video reminds me of the old ABC Wide World of Sports intro when they said "The agony of defeat" every Splash looked agonizing...lmao 🤣 🤣
Would this sport make it to ABC?
Ski jumper turned rag-doll is mostly what I recall.
This could be deadly.
All diving could be deadly if you land wrong
I've jumped off 100+ ft cliffs many times and I just have to say, this is pure insanity
100ft ha lol no u havet
@@jogardening7849 Makarska, Croatia. Quincy (Mass) quarries (it's in Gone baby Gone) and Gloucester, Mass.
Then again, I guess you know my life and you know me best right?
I can tell by your reply, you're a dickhead.
Infinitely more terrifying if no water, nor parachute… done it 3x that I can recall. Thankfully, so far each time I’ve awoken before impact.
@@gr8dvdgot me in the first half
They ended in the cat dive so none of them felt pain worth of note
I do death diving and even if you do a "cat dive", 90% of the time you will feel pain
I see New Zealand becoming Champions in this sport real quick! 🤙🏾
Crazy s**t going on there, but i enjoyed it! 😂
I think i got a concussion from just watching this video ! 🤪
Kickstart my heart really kicked in at the perfect time with the slow motion replay at the end.
"The crowd loves it" they're just looking at themselves on the screen lmao
I'd watch this!!
This look kinda fun no cap
1:01 That dude deserves GOLD.
Absolut amazing 👍🏻👍🏻😁
Broke my tailbone diving this high trying to be a "cool mom"... was it worth it? Yes.
That was awesome
Very dangerous dive
But funny dive
Kid at the end!
On da islands we call that suicide, its really exciting to hear people gasping, in awe, cringe and say oh shit and then you tuck at last second so much fun.
Das ist doch so viel cooler als normales Turmspringen 😊
'i don't even know anymore' xD
More! I need more of this ❤️

Thank you Norway Live ❤️
Check out Miriam Hamberg!❤
@@markquick3332 Thank you ! ❤️
I love the death dives
Some of them did the cat dive it's a technique.
that is what everyone does, the cat dive is the death dive
The girl that slipped is my favorite lol
Wow they had Joe dirt in the competition lol
That was fun to watch
Looks fun! Especially cuz I ain't the ones jumping. Cool.
Isso é perigosíssimo, o impacto da cabeça na água pode até quebrar pescoço.
My belly would be permanently damaged if I flopped like these :-)))
Guys the are professionals they dont even get hurt
some get hurt, some even get internal bleeding and nose blood
@@soare4874 None of them get hurt you fucking morons
@@soare4874 they do the cat dive....they won't get hurt seriously anyway
@@akagetobimaru1994 "internal bleeding" that's pretty serious if you ask me
@@soare4874 you won't get hurt ifyu can execute a cat dive perfectly n besides they are all experience swimmers n divers....
I am not that good at swimming but i can execute the cat dive.... it doesn't hurt at all because your hands and feets are covering your stomach n chest....
I would love to participate in this. It looks like so much fun
the must ridiculous fun sport ever
That takes some guts
We were doing this in the 80s.
You know, and I think that I can speak for everyone. These are tremendous Olympic Athletes. Their dedication to the Sport is Admirable. It's a shame that the future generations of Olympic Class Belly Floppers will be from Eastern European countries due to the shortage of High Dive pools in the USA.
Hate to think of the internal damage it can cause hitting the water from that height
"Cat dive"... not that I'm an expert or anything. If you watch they bend up head and feet pointed down at the last moment. Scary as hell and still a bit of a hit, but not the sort of impact a belly flop would bring.
Not everyone did that. Some fell face first.
I did a bad dive once from a very low hight and did a belly flop. I didn't want to do that again.
they didnt belly flop they stapled
I want to do this but none of the local pools have diving boards anymore due to lawyers.
Lava hot springs idaho... just have to sign a waiver... all they said was go feet first lol
Pure fun💪🏼
С братом, по молодости ходили в бассейн... Там вышки были 3 и 5 метров... Примерно творили там похожее... Прикольно было👌👍😁
I understand the way they land makes it so they dont get hurt, but it still looks like it hurts.
I've seen the John Cena dive but my favorite I the frog dive.....😂😂
The big guy with the big belly knocked the pool dry
The kid takes it with the classic flop
The new Olympics sport.
Looked like everyone from family guy to nature boy rick flare was diving.
Tryin to figure out why internal organ destruction is so funny?!
Lolololll that poor kid at the end..
This is crazy 😂
😂😂😂That's patrick star style 🤣🤣🤣🤣😁😁
This feels like the Freestyle Moto of diving.
Just been doing back flips recently and I still have bruises from a few bad landings 😂
Классное дружное общество ЛЮДЕЙ 🤔👍
"There goes my hero...."
How are they not in a world of hurt after jump and landing the way they did
Feet and hands break the tension of the water. These guys knows how to time it perfectly.
Back in the day in Keansburg NJ, that dive was called a CUP.
Fun and games 'til ya snap a neckbone. Then it's just fun. lol
My body went supernova and just exploded out into Infinity. It was like I was an ice cube thrown into the ocean and it just melted. This was by far the most incredible and most positive and most joyful experience that you could possibly imagine. That was the moment of death and I had the Epiphany that death is the greatest thing that could happen to a living creature because it feels like in that process of dying for a split second it's terrifying because you're dying and you have no idea what's coming next. But then as you fully let go and the death occurs the next Split Second you're so relieved. It's like your entire life was this giant thousand pound weight wrapped around your shoulders just tons and tons of weight and then all of it was just lifted in a split second and you realize that you're untouchable and that you're Immortal and that nothing could ever disturb you again. It's complete peace just utter peace and joy and profundity. The beauty of it is Indescribable.
How is it possible. There's no way that this is possible. Did I really just die? How could that be?
I'm laughing and I'm smiling 😂
😂
To me the winner was the big guy tied with the salute
It must be painful. But I'd to try it.
Deep chest pain and internal organs crying.
They gotta do it with out going into a cannon ball when they hit the water. Straight body, wide open. Then it is a true belly flop.
It's a technique called cat dive or death dive in which both hands and legs were in the same direction to the water....
There is a reason they don't
The woman that slipped actually did a death dive.
Id absolutely dominate that competition. Theyre all correcting the dive so they dont get the signature slap sound of a good flop.
Crazy
The world: repeated trauma to the head has disastrous consequences and must be limited.
Norway: let's jump into water from super high places and land on our head.
me, a springboard diver, confused asf
Les plus beaux plats que j'ai vus.
.
These are all controlled dives , we used to call them foons. I did those from this height when I was 10
It's much better when you just run, and flip and spin, and have no idea where the water is when you hit. Of course it hurts most of the time , but it's way better than this kiddie stuff.
This is what makes humanity beautiful is the fact we do sh@t like this for no reward, just fun.
In the 70's all of my friends in the neighborhood would gather at the local pool and do these so-called "death dives" on the high diving board. Only they were actually called suicides back then and we did them at the ages of 13, 14 and 15.
Next up, the 200M freestyle for non-swimmers
thats creepy! by the way shoutout michael
Love from India ❤️🇮🇳
The lil kid never tucked he won
Watch the 80's movie spring break... You guys cant beat that guy
gymnastics? a sport. dancing? a sport. synchronized swimming? sport. diving? sport. THIS? i don't think so. definitely a dangerously fun (to watch) activity however
Belly’s of steel
In the 90s we would call this a flying squirrel followed by a watermelon. The flying squirrel was all about the chest out with legs and arms extended. At the last instant, you'd curl up into a ball and hit the water face-first. Get it wrong, and that flying squirrel would be a belly flop and your whole front side would be red for the rest of the day.
i cant even take my shirt off that fast how the hell did he do that?
I was the first person to start this.
Don't tear a spleen !
imagine if the water suddenly turned into cement...
That first chick😂😂😂😂😂
all form
You know it's simply just much better to take a snorkel and sail your sailboat to or from Key West to the reef on the east side. Take a good long swim in and enjoy the silence.
