Hi! I'm Sophie's mom. She did an amazing job helping me with my closet! Sophie is a wonderful daughter and I am so proud of her 😍 And, yes, my feet grew a size with each child. Good thing I only had two 🤣
Great job! I know your Mom appreciated all your help. She has quite the collection . It's hard to think that she wears all these clothes sometime during the year. They are all lovely so I can understand why she wants to keep them. Fyi, I love the longer videos! Keep them coming! So happy you were able to spend quality time with your parents! I know they are going to miss you when you return to Denver.
Thank you!! Yes, so very true. There is a statistic out there - I believe its something like most people only wear 30% of their clothing on a regular basis!! Most of us cant get the proper use out of our clothing and buy too much. Im proud of her for being able to get rid of some of it!! Love to hear that you like the long videos! I will miss them too, it was a fun extended visit!
Wow! I do remember having that many clothes but, I've never had that many shoes in my life! I'm not a shoe person I guess. But, tees are a different story!LOL😍I do limit myself alot and purge every few months. Her closet looks better now. What a great gift for Mothers day!👍🌞
You’re lucky! When my 2 sisters and I went thru my moms things when she had to downsize, she didn’t want to get rid of ANYTHING! We were going nuts! She still had some of my dads things and he died in 1992!
Oh gosh, that is frustrating! Sentimental items are tough to get rid of... its funny how some people have the urge to purge as they age and others just continue to hold onto items!
I'll admit that my jaw dropped when I saw all the shoes (I have 1 pair each of sneakers, slippers, and garden clogs and that's it.) But like you said, it's important to her and that's all that matters! It certainly doesn't affect me or my life in the least!
I have the different necklines for long sleeve shirts to wear under sweaters with different necklines. Sweaters tend to be itchy on me no matter what kind of yarn they are made from and it also keeps you from having to wash your sweaters as often.
I am having fun and excited, because u r a good daughter. She must be really rich to own so much , this makes me not embarrassed for keeping a lot of stuff. Compared to ur moms mine is minimal, makes me happy. Trying to mkeep it neat and tidy.
How lucky is your mom to have you as a daughter 🌟 I just came across your channel and have been binge watching past videos I’m hooked!! you have the best content ever and your storage solutions are top notch.
The bigger the space, the more you tend to put in it. My space is smaller and I go through my pieces 2 to 4 times a year. I plan to tackle mine again this week. I'm always purging out unneeded items.
Oh wow you certainly had your work cut out for you ! You did a wonderful job I’m sure your Mum is so happy with the end result - I personally having that much choice to choose from would be an absolute nightmare of decisions but as you say everyone to their own 💖🇮🇱💝🇮🇱
You’re such a sweet daughter! This is perfect timing for me. I’m working on my closet. My feet grew too with each pregnancy. I just saw your Instagram post with the UHaul. I’m so excited for you! 👍❤️
👍Wow! You did an AWESOME JOB! The closet looked so fresh and calm afterwards! Your mom is so cute even though we didn't get to see her...she was ready to declutter!👏😉🙊 She really worked with you to get rid of some great stuff for giveaway!🌻
Shoes: yes that’s true with shoe size and babies. But how big/wife they grow depends on the person. My mom was my size (8.5-10 depending on the shoe), she is now a 10 wide in 1 foot and 10.5 in another.
I selfishly love when people have large shoe collections because that’s something I struggle with! I would consider myself a minimalist in most circumstances, but I do have a lot of purses, shoes, and containers that most would “disqualify” me from being a “real” minimalist, per say. It makes me feel better about my shoe collection 🤣 my feet haven’t grown for about 10 years now so I have accumulated quite a lot of shoes that I still wear to this day. Also, I wear my shoes into the ground!!! They have to be completely fallen apart before I even consider tossing them (i.e. I wore rainbow sandals that had holes in them for about a year until I got a new pair 😂)
Exactly! I think its fun to watch collections of both sizes and not everyone can (or wants to) accomplish a minimal collection in every area of their life! Wow sounds like you are getting your money's worth, thats awesome!
It is so true about your feet so your mom was telling you the truth! The same thing happened to me when I had my 3 kids but with my feet it was a 1/2 a size with each I was a size 8 before I started having kids and now I'm a size 9 1/2 after having them!
Not to long ago my sister in law and I helped my mother in law get rid of some stuff and used velvet and thin hangers and although we didn’t get rid of tons she was able to see what she had and had tons more room😃 my feet are now the same size they were before having two kids! Love your videos
Her pants specifically we kept sectioned off right next to the ones that fit her now. Other things like tops we blended them all together since those aren't as rigid as to whether or not you "fit into them" but rather how you feel in it if that makes sense!
What a nice thing to do with your mom! That was a really nice gift to her. I have to ask, did you guys then go 🛍 shopping...some open space might need filling? lol Happy Mother's day.🌼🌻🌺🌸🌷
The feet growing thing from pregnancy is real. Most of my friends' feet have grown anywhere from a half to two sizes larger. The ONE thing I wanted as a by product of pregnancy was for my feet to grow... and... nothing... I'm a size 5 U.S. sizes and it's so hard to find shoes sometimes because most companies no longer make 5s or even 5.5s 😩
My moms feet did the same!! She was a 6 and then with me became a 7 and with my brother became a size 8! I’m currently pregnant with my first and I’m hoping this isn’t genetic because I really don’t want to have to replace all my shoes 😬

Love you mom!!! 💓
My sister in law's still think she is size 5 shoe .her feet are size 7. Lol. (3 children)
My mom lives half way around the world. I come home every 4 years and I organize her closet for her every time. It brings me joy to do that for her.
Oh I love that you do that!! Good way to spend some quality time if she is there helping out!
Great job! I know your Mom appreciated all your help. She has quite the collection . It's hard to think that she wears all these clothes sometime during the year. They are all lovely so I can understand why she wants to keep them. Fyi, I love the longer videos!

I love these longer videos! I hope you make more of these 🤗
So good to know! I never know if they get too long! I will keep them coming 😀
Now that was a great Mother's Day present!!! Happy Mother's Day to your Mom
Thanks so much
Wow! I do remember having that many clothes but, I've never had that many shoes in my life! I'm not a shoe person I guess. But, tees are a different story!LOL😍I do limit myself alot and purge every few months. Her closet looks better now. What a great gift for Mothers day!👍🌞
My mom is a total shoe person and has passed it down to me haha! Smart to limit yourself and purge often!
That's a lot of clothe and shoes. Im glad you were able to help her.
Thanks so much for watching!
I love that you did this with and for your mom! Thank you for all of your fantastic videos, Sophie!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'll admit that my jaw dropped when I saw all the shoes (I have 1 pair each of sneakers, slippers, and garden clogs and that's it.) But like you said, it's important to her and that's all that matters! It certainly doesn't affect me or my life in the least!
Exactly! Everyone is different, and the good thing is we were still able to declutter some! 😉
You would die if you saw all of mine. Plus I dance so I have LOADS of dance shoes. 😂
I have the different necklines for long sleeve shirts to wear under sweaters with different necklines. Sweaters tend to be itchy on me no matter what kind of yarn they are made from and it also keeps you from having to wash your sweaters as often.
I think my mom does the same and wears them under sweaters, love that you don't have to wash the sweaters as often then!
I am having fun and excited, because u r a good daughter. She must be really rich to own so much , this makes me not embarrassed for keeping a lot of stuff. Compared to ur moms mine is minimal, makes me happy. Trying to mkeep it neat and tidy.
You are on the right track it sounds like! All of us are beginning from different starting places and that is totally okay!
Loving the longer step by step process. Great inspiration!
So glad!
Wow! What a job that was! What a nice thing to do for your Mom! Great tips about how to decide what to keep and what to donate/sell!
Thank you so much!
How lucky is your mom to have you as a daughter 🌟 I just came across your channel and have been binge watching past videos I’m hooked!! you have the best content ever and your storage solutions are top notch.
Thank you so much!! You are so kind!!
Costco has a great price on flocked no slip hangers. Two 50 packs for $25.89 on line price. Cheaper in the store. They are very slim.
I have some of those in my apartment!! They are a great deal!
Can’t believe the amount of shoes and cloths that your mother has! Wow!! Way too much. 💕💕💕
So glad she was able to declutter some of it!
I'm so glad it's uploaded. ❤
Me too!! 😉
Thanks Sophie
Thanks for watching!!
What a fun Mother’s Day gift! Love your mom’s taste!
I will pass along the compliment!! And it was fun to spend time together!
The bigger the space, the more you tend to put in it. My space is smaller and I go through my pieces 2 to 4 times a year. I plan to tackle mine again this week. I'm always purging out unneeded items.
So true!! With a smaller space you are forced to only keep what you love and use.
Your mom has a great daughter!! I 💕 LOVE the flip-flop box!!!
Aww thank you, I have a great mom!
As usual you did a great job, I see the difference and it looks really good ❤️
Thanks so much! 😊
Oh wow you certainly had your work cut out for you ! You did a wonderful job I’m sure your Mum is so happy with the end result - I personally having that much choice to choose from would be an absolute nightmare of decisions but as you say everyone to their own 💖🇮🇱💝🇮🇱
I do agree with you, too may choices isn't necessarily a good thing! It makes getting dressed and deciding what to wear more difficult!
You’re such a sweet daughter! This is perfect timing for me. I’m working on my closet. My feet grew too with each pregnancy. I just saw your Instagram post with the UHaul. I’m so excited for you! 👍❤️
Lol, Professor McGonagall lives at your mom's house!!!! Forgive my Harry Potter reference, her cat looks just like Professor McGonagall in cat form.
Hhaha love that!!
love this organization!!
Yay! Thank you!
👍Wow! You did an AWESOME JOB! The closet looked so fresh and calm afterwards! Your mom is so cute even though we didn't get to see her...she was ready to declutter!👏😉🙊 She really worked with you to get rid of some great stuff for giveaway!🌻
Thank you so much!!
I had to laugh Sophie...lots of things get bigger through the years...LOL.
hahaha oh my gosh!! So true 🙈😂
Yes!!!!! True
I need to hire you! Love all your videos!
Aww thank you so much!!
Gorgeous kitty. So fun!
Thank you! 😊
What your mom said about shoe size after children is so true. It happened to my mom and to me. :0 Great video! Keep Striving.
Oh gosh, things to look forward to! Thanks for watching!
Shoes: yes that’s true with shoe size and babies. But how big/wife they grow depends on the person. My mom was my size (8.5-10 depending on the shoe), she is now a 10 wide in 1 foot and 10.5 in another.
So interesting!! I guess it's more common than I thought!
Your mom did great decluttering.
I will pass on the compliment!

Oh my gosh!! Hopefully there is a limit to how much they grow, those poor women with 4 or 5 kids 😂
Wow great job! I'm sure your mom feels better and enjoying some breathing room in her closet.
I hope so!
I see where you get your love of shoes from!!
Hhaah totally from my mom and I'm lucky that a lot of the shoes she's actually bought for me!
Not to long ago my sister in law and I helped my mother in law get rid of some stuff and used velvet and thin hangers and although we didn’t get rid of tons she was able to see what she had and had tons more room😃 my feet are now the same size they were before having two kids! Love your videos
Love that you did this with your sister in law for your mother in law! So good to know that your feet stayed the same size!! There is hope haha
My feet also shrunk 1.5 sizes after losing 60 pounds!
WOW, that is wonderful!! (minus the having to buy new shoes!) That takes some real dedication!
Great job👍🏼
Thanks for the visit 😀
What did you do with the clothes her goal weight? Are they in with her clothes that fit or a separate section?
Her pants specifically we kept sectioned off right next to the ones that fit her now. Other things like tops we blended them all together since those aren't as rigid as to whether or not you "fit into them" but rather how you feel in it if that makes sense!
With my clothes it's all about comfort. My weight is not stable right now so I tend to like leggings and comfy t-shirts.
Comfort is so important!!
You area great daughter. I sat one time with my sister I ended up sending big garbage 12 of the nested folded them and took to the thrift store.
What a nice thing to do with your mom! That was a really nice gift to her. I have to ask, did you guys then go 🛍 shopping...some open space might need filling? lol Happy Mother's day.🌼🌻🌺🌸🌷
Hahah not this time! I think she's just enjoying all of the extra space now! 😉😊
I love your dress! My feet grew during my pregnancies too and stayed that way. Not quite as much as your mom's though.
Thank you!! Sounds like its pretty common to grow and stay that way! 😱
I believe the arch falls causing the feet to "grow" after pregnancy or if you gain more weight as you age.
Very interesting! That makes sense!
My feet spreaded and stayed wider I was a 7.5 shoe size and after three babies I now wear 8 or 8.5 in some shoes and in wide .
Oh no, they get wider too! 🙈So crazy what pregnancy can do!
Yes, feet can.
Oh gosh...
If my feet grow a size Everytime I have a baby, I am doomed cause I already have size 11! 😂 I guess I will be going barefoot 😂😂
I’m a size 7 (US 9) in shoes! I hope my feet don’t get too much bigger when I have kids 😱😅
Hahah I'm with both of you!!
The feet growing thing from pregnancy is real. Most of my friends' feet have grown anywhere from a half to two sizes larger. The ONE thing I wanted as a by product of pregnancy was for my feet to grow... and... nothing... I'm a size 5 U.S. sizes and it's so hard to find shoes sometimes because most companies no longer make 5s or even 5.5s 😩
hahah how funny and im sure all the women with larger feet just grow and grow!
Ugh!! The grass is always greener, right? 😄
Your door organiser is backwards no?
That. Luke be it!!
My moms feet did the same!! She was a 6 and then with me became a 7 and with my brother became a size 8! I’m currently pregnant with my first and I’m hoping this isn’t genetic because I really don’t want to have to replace all my shoes 😬
Oh my gosh, fingers crossed for you that yours don't grow!!
😂. I had two kids and yes, my feet grew a half size for each and they’ve stayed. 😳🤔
nooooo, this is sounding so common!
Were you raised in California?
Nope!! Minnesota 😀
I was forced to watch after you said”you thought it would be FUN to organize the closet”.
HAHA!! To be fair anything organizing is fun to me!!
Remember you are pregnant you could possibly need them.
sorry, I couldn't watch it to the end - way too many clothes and so many duplicates...even with all of your coaching and conversation.
That's okay, at the end I show she was able to get rid of over 9 bags of clothes and shoes!
Feet didn’t grow, arches fell….
I've heard that too!!
Wow your mum has way to many clothing, how will she ever wear all the clothing she has left, I have three wardrobes full and feel that's too much.
She is working on it and every little decluttering step helps, I'm proud of her for what she was able to declutter! One step at a time.
