There is more to the Ambrosia. Ambrosia grants you longevity and immortality, but also ages you to the point of being a feeble old man. This is where second component of god's diet comes in - the nectar, which grants you youth… and death. Unless you consume ambrosia. On constant basis.
@@HrHaakon It's more of a metaphoric thing - humanity plays with death because it keeps them feeling alive, but only the wealthiest men can afford ambrosia to stay alive. And any efforts to steal what we can't afford will be cut off, any attempt to craft ambrosia will be butchered, for the only way dog us allowed to get food is out of master's hands, jumping through the hoops to earn it. And there is not enough for everyone, so you damn better get good at it, doing sacrifices no dictator would be able to make you perform directly. The game is not about virus, mechs or cool technology. It's about humanity going backwards and eating each other to escape crack of the whip because the man holding it can kill anyone 1v1.
The Greek god cocktail. Ambrosia with a squirt of nectar on ice with a singular mint leaf and literal gold extract shaken in a steel tumbler for approximately 15 minutes served on ice (again) in a chalice the approximate width and height of a grown adult man and let sit for 30 second before drinking, enough time for you to snort a line unimpeded. *Bam,* your lifespan has been increased by 1000+ years and your bones have the density of a freshly harvested diamond. _Enjoy._

My first Deus Ex game was Human Revolution, though I’ll admit Seth’s vid and your reaction reignited my drive to play the original. Damn if it isn’t one of the best stealth games on the market: great combat, immersive world, and a scarily accurate prediction of the world that was 30 years late. Plus the fact that there’s not much hand holding and you have to actively seek out ways to complete your objectives (talking to people, reading notes, hacking/breaking into areas with key info) is a breath of fresh air in an age where companies like Ubisoft would have a stroke trying not to tell you what to do.
Ambrosia is kind of funny. In reality it was a mixture of things, seeds, liquid and other random stuff sometimes important to which ever family was using it, and you would put it on a gods altar during certain events, such as obtaining a wife or welcoming slaves into the household. And this was usually at the central location of the house which was usually the hearth and most often for Zeus. When you would ask where someone lived in Ancient Greece, you would phrase it in a way that was like “Where is your Zeus?” Because each family had their own personal gods of the home and their protection, Zeus was usually the god that protected a household. Very interesting stuff, imo.
Mate, if you read comments your volume against the video is way too high idk if you do it for copyright stuff but it gets annoying to change volume when you talk and when the video is playing.
I love Human Revolution and Mankind Divided. HR has a lot more to the story and sections of the world you got to, where Mankind Divided is denser by verticality and just has sleeker visuals. It's a shame that there likely isn't going to be a third game with Adam Jensen again I could picture him taking the fight to the illuminati with the *character* I won't spoil for anyone who wants to do all of MD's content :3
Recently re-installed this. Found there is a Lady Denton mod. It's been a blast. The voice actress is amateur, yet still better than the original male voice actor.
Deus Ex really hits different after the last few years.

Especially Mankind divided

Man, it's almost as if the gray death vaccine had some... undocumented features.

My first Dues Ex was invisible war. Every vent has a mulitool in it. Its a running gag.
"A real vaccine treats you, not temporarily halts the progress for 48 hours."
This man has a degree in cancer immunology and I love him.
(No homo ofc)
Great video man, your reaction felt like it added to the video

Thanks. I did noticed that after recording.
try ticking loudness equalization in your audio config
13:35 I know that you mean UE4/UE5 remake but I will still point out that the Deus Ex is already on Unreal Engine.
15:52 the pause timing :D

Plz watch Ross's review of Deus Ex. its great.
Why can't they remake this game? Or no sequels why is that?
It has sequels and prequels.
You seriously need to check out his video on Arcanum

The original actor is what gives it unintentional black comedy in serious moments
Nice

Lol I was 19 or so when I picked up this game at best buy, about a year after release. 😬😐😞😭
DE1 > DEIW/HR (Watch Ross Scott's video on why that is) > MD > Project Snowblind > The Fall (lmao).
Nah, MD > IW
@@TZACHI9 Nah. IW > MD. IW has more thematic elements and more things and ideas it talks about than just muh transhumanism.
@@Web720 Story wise sure, buy gameplay/level deaign wise, I think MD is way better.
Game Dungeon has the superior and ultimate Deus Ex review and I will die on this hill :P
Anyone who has watched Ross's review, and is above the age of 12 and possess a functioning brain, will agree with you.
Cause sseth does both reviewing and comedy, mostly comedy though
