You should have said I received a faulty laptop.
Hp used to be the best. But last year 2 out 30 omens bad, and a few others. Too many bad
@@alegreviews it's going on last 20 years.
Mine is badass sorry you got that one
Bad luck. It’s a nice computer, I agree

I can't understand the problem you had with the hp support. I recently bought a hp envy x360 and it had an intermittent charging problem. I contacted hp and their tech. support guy was very helpful. He asked me to try a few tests which were obviously written down for him. When they didn't work he made arrangements for the laptop to be picked up by a courier, no charge, to be checked by hp. A few days later, less than a week, I received a new replacement laptop which has worked flawlessly ever since.
When it’s charging issues or black screen etc - there is nothing customer can. They made me waste 2 hours and wanted it to be 2 more
Damn... I literally just bought this exact PC yesterday and will be delivered tomorrow. I think you need to update the drivers. If that does not fix the screen, you need a replacement. Warranty.
It’s a nice computer. I did all the drivers updates. It didn’t help. I wasted 2 hours with HP over the phone. It was a waste of time, they want me to keep me on the phone, do another Windows reinstallation etc. I had to return it to Costco.
HP reliability is not what it used to be. It used to be top 1. I get more and more faulty laptops of different models from them.
@@alegreviews - No company makes them like they used to.
@KlipschHead281 yep, and same with cars
I'm shopping for a new one now and the lack of numeric pad turned me off. I utilize spreadsheets a lot and just don't want to have to lug another component around (external numeric pad). HP will lose loyal customers for that. The rep wa sno help, told me to use the numbers on top, like for real. I've got carpal tunnel and work in finance. Think I will have to give Lenovo a look
Lenovo are the best. Also consider Dell
@@alegreviews I also just bought this computer and the one thing I hate is the numeric pad missing ugghhh I may return it and go back to Lenovo for this reason
So you got a faulty laptop…and that makes the model and the machine trash…?
Yeah, you got sent a broken laptop. That says nothing about the device itself and whether the system works well as designed.
Don’t trash the model just cuz you got screwed with a bad unit. Unjustified title and an unhelpful video.
He isn’t wrong, I have one from last year I purchased about 9 months ago and the screen is glitching, the hinge is bad, there is an orange mark of weird pixels on my screen. This is a problem that happens a lot with hp now. If i get a new computer It will never be an hp ever again.
It's unacceptable that bad quality controll. These are not 500$ shifty machines
There not speakers at the side nor air vents the designers thought it was a cool feature to poke holes in the envys
Bro is it better than mac book air M1?
As a technician, I really don't like the construction of those laptops. It feels like I'm slamming the laptop body every time I move it. Although I didn't touched Envy x360s yet, the Pavilions x360s have a very flexy body and a unbalanced weight pushing towards the screen. Besides, because of the material if you hit a corner it will leave a dent, similar to cars.
I always try to avoid laptops with very thin bezels or aluminum body. It makes easier for the hinges to break and harder to repair or replace the screen. Lenovo also has kind of bad models with thin bezels but hp is really getting the construction all wrong. Here in my country there are people who import those hp x360 and hp minis in bulk and those are sold for extremely cheap prices on Marketplace.
There are way more sh*t I can throw to hp like the screen cables disconnecting themselves in some models but I will stop for now.
HP used to be very reliable in my experience, cannot say that anymore. HP Omens really disappointed me last year. I feel like basic ones are more reliable
My 2023 one is crappy flickering screen and I got it repaired, now the problem is starting again after 4 weeks, this is the crappiest laptop ever. I am going to get an elitebook or something from another company because the elitebook is the only hp laptop that I can trust anymore but I’m sure soon that will have issues too.
Check Thinkpads and Latitudes
What about bettery backup?
those are not speakers on top, they are just for design speakers are bottom of laptop. all envs all sizes speakers on bottom and the top grill is just for deign its stupid the could of put numpad instead. closest competition is dell inspiron 16 2 in 1, i was looking at both got the dell. looks the same all metal and the grill is actually speakers andthere are two more speakers under the screen for when in tablet mode. it also comes with core ultra 7 155h no u series so it has intel arc graphics which is huge leap over graphics in envy
So you blame HP for your dealer sending you a bad unit?
That was manufacturer defect. Bad out of the box. HP didn’t want to warrantee it, wasted 2 hours on the phone and then asked to try to reinstall Windows again. I had to return it to Costco.
I recently had similar issue with ASUS Tuf. They immediately asked me to email them a video and determined that it was screen defect. And accepted the repair and they repaired.
I had similar issue with Dell XPS a while back. They sent technician to my house.
I had a screen issue with microsoft laptop - they just replaced with a new unit. 5 min on the phone.
HP 2 hours wasted.
@@alegreviews Not sure where you are based. But in most jurisdictions just send it back to the dealer for replacement
@chrini1 it was out of stock, was a really good deal at Costco. I had to return for refund
Thanks for making this video. I am considering the HP envy but the ryzen 14 model. I'll look for something else. I wonder if the msi evo flips are better. I want one for art work. Currently using a surface pro but it gets so hot it becomes unbearable to work or paint on it.
Consider lenovo yoga too
@@alegreviews i saw a lot of reports about broken hinges on the yoga too. I think these modern light and thin laptops all suffer from this problem. I'll hang on to my surface pro 7 a little longer.
I agree. Thinkpad yoga should be strong
Same issue happening with a model in store that I checked today
Envy?
Which store was it?
Wow bro just tossing that thing around like it's a 20 dollar peice of junk. Is that how you handle laptops regularly
That particular one was defective, so no big deal
You can see it's got a dropped hinge on the right
I got a bad one too and I took it in and got last year model which has worked better
Hp is $#!+. I got a spectre x360 16 inch. Came with faulty space key. Sent it back and they wanted me to wait 2/3 weeks for a replacement. Got my money back.
I Can’t find the 32gb version on the HP website
This was Costco model
I bought a HP pavilion laptop but after 1 year using it suddenly start ghost touchinh
Out of warranty now? So sad
Well then you shouldn't have bought the Intel version because I've got the same exact model and it's not trash. I've got the ryzen 7 AMD all is well. Be a little bit more selective. I got mine at Best buy
Exactly I swear I’ve never had a bad experience with ryzen but my intel computer sucked after a year
These are awesome machines. Some better than others.
Battery drops so fast ! Idk why any solution
Lower brightness, power saving setting, turn something that eats cpu
No all the hp envy are trash they refused to fix the hinge issue and have had a class action lawsuit done for 360 I believe but man they just won't make one pice it's two separate parts and ones just glued to plastic. Never buying hp again.
no fingerprint lol
it has IR face recognition. same as face id
The build quality has gone downhill the past 3 years
That’s exactly what I think. Like a 1000 of HP laptops went through my hands during Covid, I don’t remember a single one that was bad
Had mine for 2 years never seen it flicker like that
I was unlucky with one I got. This 2024 model is nicer by the way
So you say the envy is trash, just because you got a faulty unit? dislike your video!
Hp didn’t want to take it back after 2 hours on the phone. That’s why
Trash review - as obviously the laptop is not trash - even if you get a lemon.
Thanks for the clickbait and losing tiime of my life for... bullshit.
I reviewed the issue that apparently others had too. Also unboxing and build quality. What else is missing?
