See what you have in bios. Some computers have ddr4, some ddr5. Slots are different. Keep in mind you need laptop version

I use my nails, some people use guitar picks or special tools. There is also sometimes security seal screw. I usually start near rj45, usually weakest spot. Too much force can be bad, be careful

This one has 16gb ram so better out of the box. If you upgrade ram in Victus - then Victus is a bit better. But disassembling might be risky

16gb is kinda enough. Although this one is with ddr5, 8gb bad. Out of the box one with intel is better, and nothing needs to be done to it

@@alegreviews Yes, I know the 16GB on the Intel you dont need to upgrade. But the Ryzen is a better chip its faster than the Intel one and newer, even though it has few less cores, its clocked faster and uses a 4nm technology. Also if you going to upgrade the 16GB to 32GB you can use the 32GB to upgrade the 8GB going to cost the same. And at the end you have a better system with the Ryzen than the Intel in gaming. Where if you go with the Intel one, you cannot upgrade the CPU. No matter which laptop you buy, people would upgrade the ram anyways, and if both you upgrade 32GB the Ryzen is a better value. This is my opinion.

@amybella i m guessing out of the box 16gb is most important. So intel one is better out of the box. If you upgrade - then one with AMD is better

From what I remember Linustech has reviewed it. I personally never even had any consoles since ps1 except for classic ones with ps1 again being most advanced. I actually prefer desktops. Laptops are weak compared to computers. 4050 laptop is more like 3050 in desktop by performance. 4060 ti (even 3060ti) desktop will be faster than 4070 in laptop. At $500 this laptop is great. I’ve never seen better one even at 600

I also bought today for $700 victus R7 8845HS, 16gb ddr5, 1tb, rtx 4060 at microcenter. And before one with 4070 for $900 at bestbuy. A lot of good Victus deal recently

Crucial is great for the price. I m glad you got boost from 32gb. I ll be honest with when I upgraded from 16gb to 32gb on at least twice more powerful computer I didn’t notice much difference in vast majority of games. But i delete dozens of apps and remove a lot of stuff from startup etc. So Windows uses a lot less of my RAM compared to a computer with stock settings

Did the same, removed unwanted apps, also turned off fast start up and turned off the hibernation file in administrator command prompt and it gave me back about 13 gb, couldn't believe it. If you do a part 2 of this awesome machine, could you provide links to the 4 cell battery and 200 Watt power supply adapter, theirs a bunch of knockoffs on amazon and aliexpress. Could not find oem parts.

3050 is a lot slower. On Amazon it is an upgraded one from Bestbuy that was $450 on sale

It will run ps3/ps4 games with emulators. It can basically run any pc game, but most demanding only on low setting to get decent. FPS

It will run games just as fast as any other laptop with 4050 and 16gb ram, cpus won’t matter much

I checked exact same but AMD version of this. It had 2 slots. I put 2x16gb there. 16gb is just right for such basic computer. One with Intel should be same but DDR4. I m 95% sure it will be 2 slots with 2x8gb sticks that you switch to 2x16.

Yes, that $500 was Walmart model and Best Black Friday deal. Hard to say, I use Windows for a few decades. Install steam or gog and get all the games there and just play. Use microsoft edge or google chrome as browsers same way as safari on iphone. Watch some youtube tutorials.

Yes, Fakes sometimes deplete battery or stop charging, especially if you do something on the phone while charging

It’s tougher with small ones, big ones 8/14tb and such are easier. You are also likely to break the clips when take it apart. People use tools like for fixing laptops and phones. I sometimes just use my nails
