Yea Winston draft! Ive done a lot of this over the years. Whenever possible we would just do 4 packs instead of 3 to increase playables. It’s a great cube format. SWU is the ideal cube game.
Those dice ‘tokens’ with shield, sentinel, and xp are brilliant actually. Obligatory request for info, since a quick scan of the web/discord didn’t yield any hits.
It's a fun way to draft, but I agree the leaders pulled can make or break this format. What would you suggest for having leaders set aside? Maybe 1 of each of the common leaders and just sub them out as you see fit.
Picked up a box (for less than msrp ;D) last night with intent to draft it with my brother. Your timing on posting this is wild.

You guys are really lucky that you (A) have packs to open at all and (B) Have a friend to do this kind of draft with.
We saved a bunch just to draft with!

in 1v1 Drafts I prefer Dark Draft format
