  • All current and future Star Wars Unlimited related content will be hosted on a new channel - / @witbiercircus - as a dedicated hobby channel to protect the sporadic yet relatively focused nature of ‪@HowerDo‬ as a home remodeling/home project channel. This video will remain to point the way!
First off, this IS a hobby channel, and I'm getting back into Trading Card Games, sooooo... here we are.
Second, this box is one of the many that continues to prove the coalition "problem" with this set. That means I predicted my legendary pulls based on the first legendary I saw. It matched the coalition pattern 100%.

Third, this was such an excellent box for me personally because of the Legendary pulls and overall in terms of 'set completion' and a few cards I was after to beef up my current deck.
This is my second box to open. First box netted me Command, Luke. Black One and Boba + a bonus foil Boba (also proving coalition theory).
2nd Box Cost: $165 after tax and shipping from ‪@BreakingBangers‬
    1st Box Cost: $120 - $50 Paypal credit card credit = $70.
    Total Cost (Retail / Discount): $285 / $230
Avg Box Cost: $117 (just shy of MSRP).
    Box 2 Legendary Value: $180
    Box 1 Legendary Value: $210
Total Market Value per TCG of Legendary Only: $390.
Avg Value: $195 (4 Legendaries per box, beating the odds)
At current 'crunch' market values, these boxes easily cover their market worth and the overall value for 'completing' a set and building my current deck are easily met.

Great box man! You know, I think obviously Vader, Boba, and Falcon legendary cards will be a staple from this first set, but I have this growing suspicion the double aspect legendary cards like vigilance, command, aggression and CUNNING will become staples in the near future as double aspect decks become more viable. Those nods on those double aspect legendary cards are just incredible for only 4 cost!
I did just splurge on singles and completed sets for Vigilance, Aggression, and Cunning, as well as Boba. I don’t think I’m going to be able to afford the Vader card. But I’m okay with that, because ramping up isn’t my style anyways. I’m in love with double aspect Boba/cunning. Plus I have a feeling set two will have A lot of upgrades which is only going to make aggression legendary (double red) get more exciting!
Plus if you think of cost, for the price of 1 Vader card, how many legendary sets can I get that might actually future proof my collection moving forward?

The balance really is in price point here for me. I'm debating selling some of these high value Legendaries to fund another box but also wonder if losing them will lock me out of the market long-term. The reprints are for months at this point and there's no telling what they may adjust to support collectibility of the first run. I have had two great boxes though, a third at $250 is just... hard to swallow if I can pick up some singles to 'complete' or future proof a bit.

Also, I think you've gotta go singles or full sealed boxes at this point. Just posted another video about my concerns with buying individual packs. th-cam.com/video/pA5GPbjTXxE/w-d-xo.html

I'm in the same boat regarding late 90s, last TCG was decipher's games, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Star Trek

The CCG was so clunky! This carries over some of the concepts but has a more fluid play motion. Still sorting it out - need more game play.

That's what happened with my Vaders. I pulled him and when I went to look at the foil, there he was again. I wish I had recorded my openings

Love those packs... I pulled a hyperspace Lightsaber in the 3rd slot for uncommon and was stoked, then saw the Luke right behind it. Next pack had a Boba standard foil, made for a great box. This box had solid pulls but nothing fancy or exciting in the foil slots or bonus R/L hyperspace slot. Still very enjoyable.

You can't interrupt true, but you are going action for action as opposed to turn for turn. I think it's way better

I agree overall, just have to get used to the action rhythms and timing. Also not all this nonsense trying to load people up, fly them through space, and unload them for a battle.

@@Billchu13 Yeah, part of the appeal is seeing how they approached gameplay. So far it's a better game and I'm not spending all my time trying to move ships and people into spaces to fight.
