Because when War comes back on earth to search the guilty, first there is no humans. I feel Darksiders 2 was super useless in the end...
First off, your welcome. I'm glad they were useful to you. Second, as for your question, Death's sacrifice is stated as something that "starts" the resurrection of mankind. From this we can infer that it wasn't an instantaneous thing, but a process. So, from whenever Death does his final deed to when War's quest happens, humanity's resurrection could've been "buffering" that whole century. Also, we don't know how long Death's journey took. For all we know, Death could've been finishing his journey just as War was getting sent to Earth. If we take that and mankind's resurrection being a process as true, then it would explain why we don't see a single human during War's travels through Earth. Humans are in the process of being resurrected, they're not back yet.

The loot system is completely useless. Every part of the world is soooooo big and soooooo empty of everything. The game feels like its 90% padding. Its a crying shame because I recall the first game being rather fun. Also, as a random aside. It really bugs me that the story of war is never really concluded. 1st game ends on a sort of sequel bait. 2nd game kinda dicks around with a side narrative. 3rd game by the sound of it follows the 2nd games idea of doing something tangential.
+lamezorlord I've always thought the game overstayed it's welcome. I truly enjoy the Darksiders universe, but, man, did this game drag on. As for how the games go timeline wise, to my understanding, that's how they were always meant to go. Don't quote me on this, but I recall reading that there was always meant to be five games, DS1 sets up the last game in the series, while the other three games feature one of the Horsemen as their main character and take place before or during the events of DS1. So far this has proven to be true for DS2 & 3, as they take place during War's imprisonment. And I believe it is said during DS3 that Strife was sent on another mission different to Fury's, so DS4, if it gets made, could also take place during DS1. Which would then leave DS5 to be the one, true sequel to DS1.
@@lorelogs3901 pretty much agree with you there. I really want to like the games. No idea why, but there's a charm to them. @@lamezorlord I understand wanting to like the series. It's a really cool universe with great characters. At least DS3 is shorter or so I heard. I remember reading that they'd make plans for 4 if DS3 made back all it's money and fans were interested. DS3 made back it's money and made profit a while after being released. So we may just yet see DS4 (and o really hope so because Strife, if done well, may be the funnest Horseman to play as).

But again like we both said - the second game just makes it very hard to stick with. Watched this video coz I never got past the game.
As for the game series. That seems rather ambitious. Maybe overly so. But at least your explanation makes sense.
@@lamezorlord I understand wanting to like the series. It's a really cool universe with great characters. At least DS3 is shorter or so I heard.
It's ambitious, yes (specially seeing that, according to what I heard, that was the plan from the start). But, I believe DS4, at least, will be made. I remember reading that they'd make plans for 4 if DS3 made back all it's money and fans were interested. DS3 made back it's money and made profit a while after being released. So we may just yet see DS4 (and o really hope so because Strife, if done well, may be the funnest Horseman to play as).
