This was a life saver! I had photos on a work phone that has disabled airdrop and i didn't want to sync to my personal mac. It was quick and easy, i thought those photos were gone
Have been watching quite a lot of videos on how to transfer file to external hard disk, your video is the most useful, and really easy to follow, thank you so much, you’re great!
thanks for the video, can you please tell me how to view photos of my iphone in macbook without importing. It asks me to import every picture if i want to magnify and view it
Is there a way to find and transfer specific albums from your iPhone to your MacBook? I.e. if I wanted to download only my screenshots or only my videos, is there a way to find those albums through Image Capture?
The only cable I have to connect my iphone to my desktop iMac is the cable for charging the wireless keyboard. It has the same connector as my iphone charging cable to put into the phone with a USB connector on the other end. Will that do it?
Thanks is the best answer I have found for making transfer of photos simple. The app was easy to find on my Studio M1 using OS Ventura 13.1 Very helpful 🤗 Oh yeah and I have Subscribed
The problem is i have something like 39k files. External drive. MBP 16 intel and iphone max 12. The process takes a lot of time and sometimes (randomly) appears a lock icon near the iphone icon and the import stops. To star another import i have to disconnect the iphone and plug it again losing the green checks. This thing is making me crazy. Of course at the beginning i unlock the phone. It’s completely random, sometimes stops at 12k sometimes at 5 and so on. Seems also like there’s not an order of import, i saw it’s kinda following date of creation but not always. I used original cables but still. It’s a nightmare and a F shame that apple products are not compatible. And it’s also a shame that you have to do al this process to import pics and vids. Show me a normal folder like every external memory. But no. Too simple
I tried to export the photos from my iPhone through image capture into an external hard drive. However, the photos that were imported into the external hard drive does not save the original dates of the photos being taken. Do you know if there is a solution to this?
This sucks and while doing this through photos app and not image capture it does not keep the original date. I wish there was a way it saves all the original dates.
Hi, this is wonderful! However, I have 14,000 photos on my phone, and the app says I have 16,000. Even including my hidden or recently deleted folder, it wouldn't add up to 16,000. Any thoughts?
I think I figured it out - for some odd reason Image Capture makes duplicates of every photo that's been edited, i.e. the original and edited copy. I have no clue why it does this and how to turn it off, because it'd be pretty annoying to have to go through every photo and deselect one or the other. Thanks!
Oh my god, I cannot thank you enough!! I was getting so frustrated!! Video of the year award!
crazy how hidden this method is,,, I have searched for a solid hours through articles n articles before I chanced upon your video. Thank you truly.

This saved a lot of time while transferring the photos and videos and sometimes the Airdrop failed while transferring large number of contents.
Bro thank you so much. The best way to do this 4 sure

Thanks for the comments, I'm pretty sure other people will find it useful.
good
Has anyone see it says please unlock phone. My phone is not locked.
Image capture is terrible. You can’t send many photos without it crashing. Like 20 at most. I have a one month old Mac fyi

Awesome, thanks for watching.
Showing the problems without offering a viable solution is not helpful
THANK YOU!!!
Thank you very much!
