I had to post - I started watching your videos during the pandemic and my hair had gotten really thin, dried and just awful during the last 10 years. I thought it was perhaps because I was getting older and I was going through menopause. I started following your tips and now my hair is fuller, thicker and super healthy. I wanted to say thank you, thank you, thank you! You helped me find the right product for my hair, how to care for my hair and keep up cuts with my stylist as well as at home in between. I can't tell you how happy I am with my hair now. It's amazing how it went from thin and frizzy and dry to thick, full and super healthy. You are a life saver!!
I can’t even tell you how much that 4 point haircut has saved me over the past three years! $$$ Sylvia, you are the absolute best! I’m excited to try this cut!
🖤 Found the black heart. Who knew? I’ve been looking around, trying to find out how I want to cut my face framing pieces. There’re so many ways!! This helped me define the aspect of not having layers from the face framing to the end because I have longish hair. Thanks for posting this. I was admiring you throughout the video; you’re beautiful. 👍🏼💜
So happy to see a new video on the topic of a DIY hair cut for layers like yours. I started cutting my hair so long ago but it was your video showing your "haircut explained" that has kept me coming back again and again. Thank you for this new and quick version which I will do between the other cuts. Friends are always surprised when I tell them that I cut my own hair and I always share your links. Thank you and please keep the hair cutting tutorials coming... Bisous from an American in Paris
❤ I absolutely love the longer videos with more content and your expert information, I feel for someone that does not go to the salon Or can't afford to go to a salon the more information. You can give me the better off I am. Keep up the excellent work I enjoy all your videos. God bless
I’ve been following you for years. I always love your content because it’s truly useful. This video really helped me with trimming my shoulder-length hair. I was sweating during the process but now I’m so glad I did it. My hair looks smoother and all around better! I have also watched another one of your videos that showed you doing baby lights to your hair. I followed that when I was growing out my bleach blonde hair and I had some noticeable lines in my hair. My hair came out amazing back then too. It was exactly what I needed and after growing out, my hair had a really nice balayage effect to it. I’m about to do a touch up so I need to go search through your videos for more instructions. I know you say that your videos aren’t meant to replace a stylist. But because of you I have learned SO much, gained confidence to do my own hair, and was able to salvage my hair 😂 THANK YOU for doing your videos. God bless you in all of your endeavors ❤
Thank you Sylvia 🖤 I’ve been watching you for years and I always love your hair advice..I’ve been cutting my hair for about 2 years now and you’ve only helped me become better thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with all of us ❤
🖤🖤 You or youtube are mind readers! Today I thought to myself I want to try and cut my own hair. SO GLAD I watched this. Thank you SO much for the tips. My hair is THICK and curly/ wavy. Past my butt, if u happen to see this, would love any suggestions for taking off some of the weight/thickness at home? Oh and your fav scissors? 😉
You have helped my hair in so many ways! A few years ago I admitted to my hairdresser that I had done my own highlights (as per your babylights instructions) and they were very impressed that I had done it myself - Thank you for your content :) 🖤🖤🖤
🖤thank you for a wonderful rendition of this cut… it compliments and looks really beautiful with your hair. Please can you shar the color of both dark and light tones of your hair. I would love to try something similar I just love those colorsThank you in advance
@@justmelli2622 her Videos are Great , watching them for years. Saved my hair with the Olaplex tutorials. colouring myself with Redken EQ. Never been happier with my hair. She is great . Glück auf aus Sachsen 🤭
Trying this tonight! I love my long hair, but I have been getting bored with it even though I don’t want to lose my length. I’m not brave enough to commit to bangs, so this looks like a good place to start! Thanks for the tutorial, Sylvia! 🖤
Hello from the UK! I have been cutting my own hair ever since watching one of your previous videos about the 4 point cut! I also followed your at home touch up blonde video. Thank you for all your content ❤
Im so glad to see you! I hope you and your family are doing well!!! My daughter has REALLY long hair, and it's all one length and we were talking just this morning about her getting face framing layers, she's wondering if she should get some long layers in the back, but she doesn't want it to look really thin on the bottom.
Is her hair naturally fine? Or thicker? I have very fine hair and I’ve been trying to grow out my layers for a while now. I want my hair to be all one length so it will look fuller at the bottom. But if your daughter has thick hair, it shouldn’t be a problem for her.
Sylvia, I have very thick hair your ext length and would love to see how to add some layers to the back. Thanks for everything..been following you for so long.xxxthank you💛
Great helpful video. I would LOVE to see how you put in your extensions! Maybe someday, you can do one where you put in tapes or even beaded weft extensions?
TBH I think shorts are only good for gags, jokes, etc. Educational videos especially, informative I definitely appreciate longer videos done well. Like you do! Aloha!
🖤🖤🖤🖤 I love full videos! I always had my hair cut this way until I moved to a new city and got a totally botched cut and color 😭 … can’t wait to try this at home! Also…. Off topic but has anyone tried the EPRES bond repair? Is it any good? How does it compare to Olaplex?
Love your hair style, mine is long with a fringe, can I still do the shorter layer at the front, will I have to go further back then the two inches as that's bit is my fringe. X
Thanks for making these DIY haircut videos! Do you have any tips for super thick hair? I’ve been cutting my own since 2017, the diameter of my ponytail is bigger than a half dollar, and in order to follow any tutorials online, I have to repeat all the steps but 4-5x as I have to separate all my hair into so many layers. Wondering if you have a recommendation for how many layers you should have for thicker hair in order to avoid the heavy look 🖤
🖤 Love it! Follower for years now! Think I’m gonna try this color on me next but with more platinum ends. Love the root color and blend and the cut is perfect w it! Ty again!😁
An extension tutorial would be life changing 😂😊. My hair is thinning, what color extensions do you have. With the high low lights I have a hard time knowing what to order color wise.
♟️🖤 great teaching .I just wanted to know, do you always wear extensions or is it just periodically? Do you have any videos for shorter hair like mid length or maybe even some variations on a Bob?
If it goes to your plan could you make a video about how I'm sectioning babylights, because I'm very troubling with the sectioning and I get always a chunky slice also with the weave technic... Just can't and it's so frustrating.
🖤 thanks again for your help with trimming my hair!always so easy to follow and always works too!🙋♀️🌟💇🏼♀️ I’m trying to tone my hair now and will find that one in one that you’ve also made 💖

Hi and thank you, love your channel! I couldnt find it but which scissors do you buy? I always struggle with a good sharp pair to use 🥴I often buy the wrong ones….
You are always sharing your best tips and tricks. I have been an avid supporter and love your videos. I have a question. I am embracing my grays and letting my hair grow out. I have not have had any chemicals put into my hair since February. I am wondering if doing a keratin treatment on my hair would damage my hair. My hairdresser said no but I am curious to get a second opinion. ❤😊
there is very low damage with a keratin treatment but it's still a process on the hair not a treatment. However if you heat style your hair regularly then its absolutely worth it to do. One treatment becomes very minimal stress on the hair compared to that of heat styling the hair daily.

Yes, face framing layers can be the best accessory to your hair without the commitment of bangs or all over layers.

If she doesn't want to have thinner ends I would recommend only the face framing layers. All over layers are always best for thick or full hair.
