Honestly, the "No real inventory" for me personally is a plus. I really liked the more casual approach in the first game, so I'm glad I won't need to spend a lot of time pulling out some backpack and putting things in and out of squared slots. Maybe because I'm an older gamer, I'm also not a big fan of crafting in general.
That's great to hear! Obviously the things I love and look for in games isn't universal so I appreciate you sharing your opinion. I hope you enjoy the game even more than I did! :D
Wow, a reply from the man himself! Even though we do not have the exact same taste (we're different human beings, after all), your opinion have always weighted in my decision to buy VR games since the early days of PSVR1. So I also appreciate you honest takes, don't really matter if I agree or not. In the case of Arizona Sunshine 2, all I wanted was "more of the same with better graphics", so I'm probably gonna enjoy it. Thanks for the review, Bryan!
This just makes me appreciate how great The walking Dead saints and sinners really is. The developers behind that are really amazing. The way they managed to make you feel as if items had a weight to them. Tha fatigue one would endure from pushing off attackers. All of it. Really just... Something else
@@Fabios__I looked, wow it doesn't have teleport options. My mom gets instantly VR sick too in those games, she can't even watch people play a flat FPS, but I gave her Dramamine (non drowsy) it's 5 bucks at any pharmacy, no prescription needed. She took it, and she never felt sick for the first time ever. It also supposedly helps to have a fan blowing on the front of you as well, not just like.. a ceiling fan. It just takes some time for your brain to accept the movement, it is possible to over come it. Do it in small bursts, don't play until you feel sick. Even if you play for only 5 minutes a day for a week, then next week 10, etc. You don't want to associate it with sickness cause eventually just thinking about it can cause a pavlovian response and you'll feel a bit sick without even putting the headset on. It's crazy. That game though... Totally worth it lol. GOOD LUCK!
Thanks for the fair and honest review. I've been on the fence and I think I'll wait for a sale. I hope they consider patching so more items can be carried--so many VR games have that (backpacks, for instance?) so I agree with you that it was a missed opportunity to incentivize exploration through item collection. The limited crafting options and even more limited inventory space really makes this game feel like a one-trick pony: just kill zombies ad infinitum. I think one thing that can really make a game great is giving players a lot to do so that they're constantly setting and prioritizing their own goals. Collecting items (for extensive crafting options or even non-craftable items for completionists) really could have added another layer to this.
Yeah, I think they could fix the explosives/crafting/scavenging issue pretty easily with a patch. My proposed solution: 1) allow you to stack up to 3 explosives of the same type in a single slot, so that they're valuable enough to want. 2) Increase the amount of ingredients required to craft components so that it isn't always trivial to make them and you actually have to search/scavenge to have enough materials (which is now worth it because you can carry enough). Optionally (and perhaps more difficult): 3) alter the quantities of different types of materials that spawn into different areas, so that players don't just stick to a single type of explosive for the whole game (like one area would more frequently have the material for molotovs, another would be frags, etc). 4) add in or increase the number of enemies that are harder to kill without using explosives, or do a better job of indicating that explosives are more useful for certain types of enemies. A backpack system would also be cool, but it'd take a bit more effort to implement and get right (most of my suggestions would just be a matter of tweaking variables). Regardless of how they tackle it, I hope they figure something out, as exploration/scavenging would definitely help break up the gameplay and extend the play time.

The lack of inventory space and how it kills the motivation for crafting seems like a pretty massive mistake. I fully agree. The only games I fully enjoyed are Resident Evil Village and Saint and Sinners on PSVR2. I also loved Proagation Hotel Paradise. PSVR1 felt more memorable for me. I loved most 'experiences' because VR was a novelty, but indie 'experiences' on PSVR2 is harming this generation. I can't wait for RE4 VR but after this game I'm unsure if other games will really captivate me.
@@derealslimbroda2897 Propagation Hotel Paradise was worth the money and time. It's almost as if it was a strong Resident Evil DLC. One of the action-driven puzzles was totalĺy brillant. So far i am having a blast in this game and is really as i thought it would be. However, I’ve never been a fan of after the fall and its inventory system. I recently bought AZ Sunshine 2 and I'm wondering why my manual pistol reload mechanics are completely broken. I can't get the magazine into the bottom of the gun due to the controllers colliding with each other, which makes the game unplayable. I'm wondering if this was an update that broke the game. I really don't want to reload by simply pressing a button as it's just not as much fun, so I've resorted to trying to throw the magazine into the air and smashing the pistol into the mag. Needless to say, this isn't working out well. Dealing with even one or two zombies when I'm out of ammo in the clip is extremely difficult.
@@Subfightrreally liking it but only 2 hours in.The physics and amount of zombies is amazing. Do get pop in on larger areas and grabbing is sometimes awkward. It's so fun though and guns feel awesome and will be very replayable. Dog is great and controls well. 8.5 from me

Sadly Arizona Sunshine 2 and RE4 remake VR mode releasing the same week may have a negative affect on sales. Is it playable using the DualShock controller?

@@CheckmateStallioN It'd be cool to see some Sony stuff, but man I'm so done getting my hopes up over them... at this point I wouldn't be surprised if the new Astro game launched flat only, then got a VR patch 6 months later that Sony only talks about on their blog... LOL 🤣😂😆😐😢😭 As for PSVR 2 getting some love, I'm not all that surprised. First, Sony is a major supporter of the show and there's a VR category. Not saying the nominations are bought (I doubt Sony would spend the money, lol!), just sayin. Second, PSVR 2's launch is basically the only VR thing that most videogame outlets even covered this year, so it'd be the only thing most of the reviewers who pick the awards would know about. Still, it'd be cool if one of the PSVR 2 exclusives won. I think the only way Sony is going to show something new for PSVR 2 is if it's a hybrid, which could happen with Ace Combat 8 (backed by Sony), or the new Twisted Metal or Astrobot games. Not holding my breath though.
Well at least vertigo 2 is guaranteed to be incredible. I’ve already played half of it and it’s one of my all time favorite VR games ever along with the quest version of RE4 so the VR Remake and Vertigo 2 will 100% prevent this from being another disappointing wealth of releases.
Yeah but did you play it on the psvr2? I've been forced to admit that these games are often just some sort of quest port handled by a totally different company. After having purchased the much underpowered quest 3, I realize just how poorly our PSVR 2 games are ported.

Dang, I was really hyped about this one. Definitely a wait for sale for me, at least this month with other titles coming …
So, sounds like a good base for the guys to build on. Will keep an eye on it
We already have saints and dinners I’ll stick with that.
Same here❤ S&S is a lot better because you have the crafting Factor and much more Weapons and Items what makes it deeper. AZ2 looks almost like a generic free to play mobile Zombie Game. No Thanks.
RE4 at Friday 👍 Vertigo 2 at 12.12
Sounds like I can focus on my backlog and get to it when it's on sale.
Same lol
Cannot wait to get through this shift and play it tonight when I get home
Two more days everybody two more days!!!!! Then we will see next generation, VR!!! 🧟♂️
thanks for making an honest and critical review ! saved me $50
At least PSVR 2 owners will have Resident Evil 4 remake VR in a few days. That game will be amazing.
Hhhmmm I may just hold off on this then.
May just wait for resi evil 4 vr on Friday and then sell my psvr2
“Let’s just say its nothing you haven’t seen before” comment with the pause makes me feel there is going to be a i am legend sorta ending for the dog 😢
Not I Am Legend, but it's a copy and paste version of another story we've all seen recently...
Mike birbiglia is hilarious! 😂😂😂 1:59
I'll still buy this despite its issues but at the most £25 I think. No rush to get it at all. Great review Bryan 😊
Death threats over a video game review...Man some people just have no actual problems in their lives.
That, or they have a very real problem in their life, namely a serious mental illness.
I totally agree though, there's no rational reason to send someone a death threat over a videogame review.
Thank you for your vr2 reviews man!! Saved me some money. This is a sale game for sure. Looks fun though
Strap in for an October 2023 repeat!
Month looked hype as hell and we’re already off to more disappointment. Great.
It's what I said
@@Boobmates People will never learn
So excited to hear about the game.
Seems to me that only capcom can do some justice to vr. Started village in vr and finished in vr, played re7 in vr a finished it in vr now waiting for re4 to be vr and of course do the vr. If it wasn't for capcom and the 2 walking dead saint and sinners my psvr2 would have been sold ages ago
I can't wait for RE4 VR but after this game I'm unsure if other games will really captivate me.
my next one will be propagation definitely. I'm never pre ordering anything because it's just a huge disappointment
Same here, in every way
@@derealslimbroda2897 Propagation Hotel Paradise was worth the money and time. It's almost as if it was a strong Resident Evil DLC. One of the action-driven puzzles was totalĺy brillant. The atmosphere was scary. I found the difficulty too high near the end of the chapter, though. I can't wait for chapter two.
Just wanted the community to know re4 on the UK store has 57% off £23!! Good timing!
So far i am having a blast in this game and is really as i thought it would be. However, I’ve never been a fan of after the fall and its inventory system. It would be nice if they patch in a solution. Still, it will keep me busy until RE4 drops. Arashi was a letdown to start off the month but i don’t feel like this one is. Its not perfect but its fun and solid overall. Excellent review as usual Bryan thanks
Was expecting more than 7 hours based on the AAA pricing. This becomes a wait for sale.
Looks good will check it out tonight
Reply and let us know what you think will you? Thanks. I hope you like it.
@@Subfightrreally liking it but only 2 hours in.The physics and amount of zombies is amazing. Do get pop in on larger areas and grabbing is sometimes awkward. It's so fun though and guns feel awesome and will be very replayable. Dog is great and controls well. 8.5 from me
Yeah, I'm gonna wait for the bargain bin on this one. No boss types and a few unique enemy types kills the experience for me. I would give it a try at $20 next year.
Wasn't ready to see Mike Birbiglia on this😂
I loved the 1st Arizona Sunshine, and I really want to try this out but I’m in the middle of RE8 and I have RE4 to try next so I think I’ll wait and hopefully get this when the price comes down 👌
Should explain more about the horde mode, like how do you get better weapons is there points to spent is it round based especially for people that never played the first one.
Sadly Arizona Sunshine 2 and RE4 remake VR mode releasing the same week may have a negative affect on sales.
Is it playable using the DualShock controller?
Sense controllers only
$50, 7hrs and no foveated rendering for native 90fps for us PSVR2 gamers? Nope. Waiting for sale.
Gunplay looks solid
I would really LOVE to see a dlc for this game like the last game!
Darn…was hoping this would be THE co-op campaign game on PSVR2.
If this isn’t, anyone know what is the best one around at the moment?
No idea personally, but if rumours are true we will get a Farpoint 2 announced soon. It might be the mystery space game in the recent vr2 teaser. That should have great coop like the first game did.
Same. I had planned to buy two copies (PSVR2/Quest 3) of the game for this very reason. Will wait for a deep sale now before taking the plunge.
@@itsthedude3138 Oh man, I REALLY hope Farpoint 2 is coming. Top of my wishlist.
That's exactly what I was planning on doing as well so I could play with my girlfriend.
@@Subfightr Yeah, but personally I’m still looking forward to getting this. Impressions and reviews are generally positive enough to give me sufficient confidence that it’ll be a lot of fun to play. Just not quite the killer co-op campaign game that I was hoping for.
Does this game have matchmaking or do you have to play with ppl on your friends list
Thank you for the review ! 👍
Looks great to me 🤷♂️
Checklist:
Isn't as bad as retribution ✅️ (another major zombie vr game)
Better than the first ✅️
Definitely worth it
The dog can carry things for you, he can hold some explosives or guns
Damn I even pre ordered lol
The developers really need to expand the inventory system, add a backpack or something. Also, add more items and gear.
@@Boobmates when every preview is talking about this game like it’s the next must have and the fact the first one is extremely popular, I don’t blame anyone for pre ordering
@@Ant-bm1qk Pretty sure there's still time to cancel your pre-order if you're regretting it. I think the developers at least deserve some credit for having a review embargo that lifts before launch day so that people who preordered can cancel.
@@Ant-bm1qk That's cope dude. Gamers have been burned time and time again by what looked like promising titles from reputable developers. Anthem, No Man's Sky, Cyberpunk 2077, Star Wars Battlefront, The Avengers, Fallout 76, TWD Saints and Sinner 2, yet they continue preordering. I don't blame the developers anymore. At this point the responsibility is on you to be a smart consumer. Sorry for the rant but its frustrating as hell to see
@@Jdb63 I preordered cyberpunk on pc, I didn’t have many issues and enjoyed it. But if I had got it on ps4 or 5 I would have been a bit salty. I did preorder this and I did expect more tbh. However I had a lot of fun with the first game on pace and then on my index so I’m ok with this for the moment. Also what was bad about saints and sinners 2 I liked it
@@Jdb63 not really coping. I spent my money and that’s it. I’m not here ranting and complaining.
Rise and Arizona Sunshine!
So glad I never pre-ordered. No way this is worth £50. Lots of talk of bad blurring due to rear projection.
Let the waiting game begin
Ive been enjoying this, didn't realise the length of it though put it down after a little session and 25% through. Has forever pool slipped under the radar or not worth a review?
Reviews take an insane amount of time to get done. I'm currently working on Among Us, Ancient Dungeon, Vertigo 2, and (in just a few hours) Resident Evil 4 review. I haven't even had a chance to look at ForeVR Pool but hopefully when things settle down a bit I can catch up on some games I haven't had time for! :D
@@WithoutParole yer course, appreciate the effort it takes and your content is great. I was just surprised nobody has even mentioned it in TH-cam even on upcoming. Don't think even Sony trailered it. the only content is at least 6 months old on quest and it looks quite good. Keep up the great work 👍.
Is there a way to go back to the setup for the gun position? Cos every time I go to reach down to do something. The guns get in the way and I end up grabbing them instead.
The setup happened every time I started the game -- so at the very worst you should just be able to quit the app and reload your game
Ah yep I see what ya mean. Or still gets in the way kinda. But I’m getting used to it and had to restart the game a couple times cos of some glitches. But hey it’s only a few days old 🤪 loving the dog 😁👌 he’s also got the same name as my dog 🥰 I’m not sure how to use the stuff I collect to refill my health. But I guess that comes later on when ya learn how to make meds n stuff
Every game looks better in PSVR2 than my Quest 3, Reverb G2 or Valve Index.
Not only does it look better but is so optimized and smooth!
Even janky Pavlov feels like a totally different game on PSVR2 and I cannot call it janky anymore.
Loving Arizona Sunshine2 so far cant wait to beat it on the hardest difficulty level YaY new-Game +!!!
...* preying * it'll have new unlocks in hardest difficulty levels. Either way love it, but even more if i find something. I Hope b4 a DLC tho. LoL :)
Who controls buddy in co op mode ??
What button do i press to even go to the menu when its saying on the screen "watch for your surroundings". Im pressing everything it just doesnt work
Are you able to point at the OK button?
@@WithoutParole yes, im looking at it so it turns grey, i point at it with my controllers but nothing happens
Dude I'm playing part 1 remake. It's way scarier than part 2! Although I haven't finished part 2 yet.
At this point we got RE4 as our last hope/savior. Please don't dissapoint!
Vertigo 2 is apparently also very good. So two hopes. For this month, anyway.
@@GreyMatterShades hopefully we get a 3rd hope for Ven VR if it does end up releasing this month
@@CheckmateStallioN I'm curious about Ven VR, but it only got decent reviews when it came out on other platforms, so I'm not expecting it to give Astrobot a run for his money. Could be good if it's priced right. 🤞
@@GreyMatterShades if we don't get an Astrobot VR2 announcement at Keighley's VGAs this Thursday then I guess Ven VR is what we got to look forward to for the next little while. Was surprised to see PSVR2 getting some recog at the VGA nominations so hopefully Sony has some surprises up their sleeve for the show on Thursday. Many people are expecting the rumoured GoW Ragnarok DLC and Twisted Metal game to make an appearance at the VGAs
@@CheckmateStallioN It'd be cool to see some Sony stuff, but man I'm so done getting my hopes up over them... at this point I wouldn't be surprised if the new Astro game launched flat only, then got a VR patch 6 months later that Sony only talks about on their blog... LOL 🤣😂😆😐😢😭
As for PSVR 2 getting some love, I'm not all that surprised.
I just hit a £20 reward on the PS Stars app, so with that cutting the cost in half, I'm fine with this.
Can you play multiplayer with random ppl, and if so is it hard to find a match.
Glad I never pre orderd will wait for sale learnt from after the fall
Pls let this game be good... last vr game I was this hyped for was.... ... foglands... 🤞
After having purchased the much underpowered quest 3, I realize just how poorly our PSVR 2 games are ported.
did you ever jump back in when the patch came out?
I'm still a-fred to preorder it 🥁
Definitely sale for me. Expect a touch more at that price point
vr looks so god damn good on ps5
u can actually load some nades and mines to dog. But still there is not enough inventory space for all if u use melee weps and utilities. Even if i play it on survivor difficulty there is still plenty of resources
Yeah the recent update upped the dog's inventory from 2 items to 4. It's a slight improvement, but I'd still prefer a full inventory system on my back
I hate hearing someone creeping behind me.I like bosses but not those over used fat guys that l puke on ya.Great review though and this is a must buy for me.Even if my son beats it as I watch lol.
They should do days gone Vr
Hope they update it to have a
Explosive slot at the very least
Yeah, or let you stack maybe 3 of the same type, so they're worthy of taking up a slot. That + maybe increasing the component costs to craft them could make crafting/scavenging more worthwhile. Should be solvable via a patch. 🤞
@@GreyMatterShades another way they can fix it is have the crafting case on your back
that you can pull out and craft at least that way you can use it when you want
cuz at the moment the back not even used
For people who like zombies, crafting, shooting games with adventure. Play the walking dead series. Good game with 20+ hours of story
Time is Moving so Slowly atm 😆
Ugh. My wishlist/wait for a sale list is getting huge.
I'll probably just get Arashi instead. Any game that can run on the Quest 2 is going to be limited.
Arashi is on Quest as well. PSVR underground is not impressed with it.
@@twatinahatsmith7428 I know it is, but that game is $20 cheaper. If the reviews for that are bad I won't get either of them.
Both of these games are bad/mid st best. Wouldn't suggest supporting them rn
@@rangernubxx Unfortunately it looks like that's the case. At least RE4 is coming.
@rangernubxx No one is really saying that Arizona Sunshine 2 is bad. It's just that it isn't priced accordingly for what it offers. Overpriced, above-average game.
Dayum. I guess that makes December easier to manage. Wait for a sale.
