What is the farthest you have ever gone off-roading?
my backyard 4wd was required
Mojave Road. We need to do this one together.
This was my longest trip!
You mean we can drive off of the road? Where do we charge our vehicles? 😏
from dtla to staple center
If only I had friends to do trips like this with...
What is ur rig or rigs?
Same bruh same
Search your local facebook group over landing groups!
Same bro! I’m in Ocala Florida someone hit me uo if your close lol
SAME HERE! D: someone from Vermont, Burlington?
Yo! I wasn't expecting this to be filmed like a legit TV show! This was badass!
Yeah the editing that tacomabeast was off the hook. Turned out really well.
That's when I subscribed
Guys, this is absolutely insane. The level of care and attention you’re putting into these videos inspires me to GO OUT and live what this beautiful country and planet has to offer. Thank you for giving us an exclusive peek into the “unknown” - please keep these coming!!!!
This was a great trip. So glad that Tacoma Beast was able to capture the trip!
bro from the cinematography to the editing this one is top tier bro the best channel when it comes to video production quality, beats out all the others, your attention to detail and editing is top of the top keep it up bro
Why’ don’t you air down when you actually need it? Then you can be more fuel efficient for the majority of the trail
For real lol.
I thought the same thing
I was thinking the same thing, it's like to certify you're a legit overlander? Wonder why you're getting 10 mpg
I came down for the comments immediately because I thought that the second he was airing down. “Uh, that’s just a dirt road but whatever.” “Bro, you’re supposed to air down on dirt!” 😂
@@JonBecker81 hey you're not a legit "offroader" unless you air down even if it mean you get 10mpg (yolo)
This is so cool.. being 60 yrs old I feel like I missed so much by working my life away. My first Tacoma is on order, can't wait to experience some real outdoors.
You still got plenty of life ahead of you to enjoy the outdoors 💪
Never too late for adventure
Yo, you guys need to do this again. Love these episodes
Stay tuned 🤙
Let's do it!
@@HoglundOverland love to boss, but my Honda Civic won't make it lol
“Explore the road less taken” that shit hit so hard made a grown man shed a tear of joy
trips like these are what I live for , keep it up guys 🤙
🙌🏼🙌🏼
I want to do this one day also , but wifey is not down , 😞 any partners up to it??? 😝
@@loaizafilmz1109 Facebook groups are what you’re looking for
@@prestondunn1991 yea maybe another up to it wife will do Loki need to do some research lol
In this video you commented on your desire to reach Tierra del Fuego. The day you do it, you have a friend here in Argentina for whatever you need. Good luck
Thanks marcelo! 🙌
Looked for this video just to say we need more uploads like this!!! Freaking awesome adventures!
Thank you!
Wow. Those shots of the horses really were amazing... Looking forward to this series!
Out here we have quite a few wild horses. Amazing to see in person.
I did this by myself in the summer of 1978. Salt Lake City to Lake Tahoe, majority off road in a 1966 GMC 4x4 step side, no air conditioning, no phone, CB radio only. No winch, only hi lift jack. Slept in open bed of truck. Not one problem.
Sounds like an amazing experience. Still have the GMC?
@@HoglundOverland I wish! It was a tank!
Lol "You had one job!" Haha
The horses would be way cool. Glad you saw them. More picks or video of the wild life refuge would have been great. I love that you guys put this together and did it. This is 100% Bad A$$.
You are Ecuadorian man!!! Aquí un guayaco! I’ve been following you for a while even tho I’m a 4Runner guy (4th gen v8) but your videos are real gems !
WOW! What a treat. Love the trail, love the cinematography, love the company, love the history, I love everything about this series. Well, only one problem. I don’t want to wait a week for the next episode! I want to binge. Keep up the great work.
Wow man that means a lot. We can't wait for you to see day 2
🤣🤣🤣
Want to go on that killer trip too! from Vermont to Tierra del Fuego!!
Great video showing off the Utah desert and how cool it is out there!! Doing 150 miles out there yesterday and I only saw 3 people beyond Simpson Springs, and 2 of them were on the main trail. I love that area!!!
It gets pretty remote after Simpson Springs. Did you make it to Fish Springs?
@@HoglundOverland I didnt go to fish springs. I turned south toward Delta for a while, and then I headed west again, and then around Keg Mtn. And a whole lot of side roads to see where they went or connected to. It was a great time.
@@paulbo7835 Sounds like a fantastic trip, so many side trails to explore!!
We're those horses really wild, that's the coolest thing I've seen in awhile!!!!!!!!!! 😎
Toyota North America better see this
You guys absolutely killed this video. Can’t wait for part 2!
I want you guys to upload one single full length video of the entire trip!! Looks absolutely awesome!! Literally the dream to be able to do this with my taco some day 🤙
Half the way of the video, I am feeling so jealous of you.. You are lucky guys.. I was a traveler back in the days, but had to quit due to other responsibilities... But, I am not that jealous and I pray for your safe adventures.. I know that it is from Nov-20, but I can feel the freshness of the journey... I am not hurrying in watching the Eps by fast forwarding them... Loads of love from India... Stay good, stay blessed and stay safe... I know, we are actually safe when we are off-road!! Hahaha
🙌
Every time you talk about the Mexico to Argentina trip I get goosebumps, I'm from Guyana (Venezuela's neighboring country) and my dream is to tour the entire South America in my truck. I have a WD21 Pathfinder, LN172 Hilux (which I do most of my off-roading in) and a recently bought 2nd Gen Taco(which led me to your channel).
I'm loving the channel. loving the TacomaBeast fan base. Haven't taken my taco off road yet. I'm still learning about it-and taking advice from all the guys at your expo I'm going to build smart-find what works for me and modify accordingly, I've already made a list of items I want on the TacomaBeast shop, about to pull the trigger on a few purchases soon.
It's All About The Taco!!!
Hell yeah bro! We love inspiring you guys and can’t wait to see what your taco is gonna look like 🤙
One of the best overlanding trips ... powerful cars, drives, food, history, wildlife, amaizing views. Great!! 💪🚗❤
MAN, THIS CONTENT NEEDS MORE CREDIT! If doesn't blow up then TH-cam is broken.
Thank you 🙏🏻 was an amazing trip. The landscapes are truly mind blowing.
Best video you guys have produced hands down man excited to see prt2 🔥😍👌🏻🦾
David killed it
@@HoglundOverland yea he did! From prt 1 looks like an epic adventure excited to see the rest
Absolutely awesome! For me as a horseman watching those wild horses was amazing!
This deserves more recognition!
Thanks man!
There is nothing about this I did not like, freakin EPIC!
This video deserves million views
national geographic level documentary! keep it up guys!
Amazing. I can't wait to start some camping trail runs next year.
Did this trip 2 years ago in a two wheel drive Tundra. Fun trip. I got a lot more then 10 mpg too.
That's awesome, how were the road conditions when you went? Did you make the trip in the summer?
I have a jeep and still look forward to all of your videos. Amazing work bro. Can’t wait for next 3 days.
So were some awesome pictures bro
Thank you 🙏🏻
Awesome video. Best part was how stoked Ken was that we (the viewers) got to see the horses!
Always amazing seeing the horses!!
he was so much more excited in person! those horses were beautiful and we're glad we got to share the moment with y'all
Glad to see you guys got off the main road and hit the side trails. You have to do that to justify airing down. I enjoy that route and have never found a better way to sandblast the paint off the bottom of my rock sliders : ) Next time check out the rattlesnake trail area by five-mile pass for some fun off-roading, it was only maybe 3 miles north of where you started your journey and left the paved highway.
Oh, and glad you got to see the stallions fight! I've gone out and watched some absolutely brutal fights where they were kicking and biting each other like crazy! They are one of the last symbols of the old west and the spirit of the wild.
I love the narrator you got for the vid too! Nice!
I've watched a few Tacoma beast videos but I've never seen one quite like this. Awesome trip, cool footage and I enjoyed the narrations that sprinkled in some history along with the visual components. Very well done
Perfekt Video thanks. Best regards from Austria.
🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
So dope. I would love to do something like this in my taco
These guys put an astronomical amount of effort into their videos, an to be honest they've convinced me that I want a taco xD
🔥
It’s all about the taco!
Awesome guys, you are soooooo lucky to make this trip! Thanks for sharing.
Was a truly amazing experience
Amazing short film! Top marks for editing and cinematography! I would do anything to live this life, explore the country, the world. Relive history and follow along the hollowed steps they left behind. The wild and free animals to the untouched earth, truly a dream you're living Mateo! Honestly that night sky though, never seen something so beautiful! You should sell tickets or raffle group trips like these around the US!
We’ve tossed around the idea of leading a group trip like this. Would you pay to go on a trip this this? We would have a paid mechanic join us and we could plan meals together.
@@HoglundOverland without overly commercializing the "untouched" the answer is unequivocally hell yes. I'd still want the trip to be personal and spiritually authentic by making the trip based on a well thought out build and well prepared pack out. Test your gear, your preparedness and your abilities.. item #1 fill up water carriers 🤣 .. do you fear becoming numb to the experiences if you were to trail guide?
@@ryancline3025 that definitely gives us some more to think about for sure 👏🏻👏🏻
Finally a good production from Tacomabeast
Not a fan of the walk arounds or install videos?
that voiceover was topnotch
Documentary about going through the desert, must get Sam Elliot soundalike to narrate. 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ninja warriors !!
Lovely to watch
Great series! Glad I stumbled across this
Thanks for tuning in 👏🏻👏🏻
The pony express ,,, bravo ❤🙏
Epic adventure.... props to you and the guys. This is one of the best video I have seen on TH-cam... this gets me pumped, it pushes me to do this same adventure... and this is a small film... good job to the film makers on this video.👍👍
These interviews are hilarious. It’s a fire road, fellas. You’re not crossing the Sahara. These dramatic overlanding videos are so freaking ridiculous.
Let people enjoy things bruh damn. 😂
I love watching you because you’re REAL!!! 👊🏽🤙🏽
We always keep it real 🤙🙌
What an epic journey
Was an amazing journey.
Excelent! You guys are very Talented making your videos! Subscriber From Dominican Republic! Hope you keep uploading more!!
Thanks for following along our adventure!
hahahahaha so much drama and posturing for some gravel roads, y'all need to relax. Beautiful beautiful beautiful area and cinematography though.
Get my Gen 1 in there! I wish Tacomabeast did more Gen 1 Tacoma coverage. Best looking by far and probably the strongest. Except for the frame if you live in wintery parts of the country. ;P
Man this video is outstanding! Amazing edit and camera views. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great Video! Cant wait for part 2
I love this channel
finally been waiting for this video to come out !!!
That trip all the way to the south of the continent would be bad ass but just keep in mind that there is not access from Panama to Colombia by road.
This is one of the best travel expedition series i found on TH-cam 👌🏻 loved it 🤩
I want to do this so damn bad now!
It was a pretty amazing journey.
Video and editing and content. Awesome!
Killer job!! Looks like an awesome trip. Excited to see the next video!
DUDE!! Amazing job on the video! badass footage and pure excellence in storytelling with your editing. mad props on the adventure. Your taco is inspiring!!
Great video. I think if you could somehow include a mountain bike into you’re system for last resorts that wouldn’t be a bad idea or maybe that’s just me.
That's a great idea man
Genius!
It really is a good idea
Funny the level of pre trip trepidation...I'd do this in my daily, nothing special, not dangerous..relax and just go!..
OvErLaNdInG Is serious business bro. gotta shell out atleast 20k+ of crap probably dont need for something like this lol.
@@tdel8613 it'd be nice..but not needed..it does kind of make one look silly though to be worried with so much...
There’s definitely something about just getting in the truck and going but then again maybe you’d never come back from a trip like this. Being out in the middle of the desert with no one around you really get a sense that things could get bad quick if one of the rigs break down.
@@HoglundOverland yeah I could imagine..in a 3rd world country but I mean it's the lower 48..I've been in these areas, it could get uncomfortable sure, but where is the adventure in that?...I know everyone has their idea of adventure and the risk vs reward ratio certainly is personal...if I were to go on a similar trip, I would want highly confident(not prideful) and capable men..that is better,(in my opinion) than all the bells and whistles
@@HoglundOverland actually it'll probably get me dead one day, I go solo frequently..but it's all weighed and measured..lol..happy travels!
Great footage guys!
Thank you!
Tacoma beast 🙏❤
Definitely something I look forward to completing some day!
Where do you live? Have you taken any long trips like this before?
Have you seen those tracks? you could do that trip with a Prius.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
City slickers!
TacomaBeast is killing it now with awesome videos and noticed the high number of subscribers👍🏻
Super awesome video series, I am mashing the refresh button waiting for the conclusion and the last part. Do you have a gpx to share of the route you took? Seems like there are many version out there and this one BY FAR is the most epic and awesome. Thanks guys for another excellent video.
My friend Justin B McBride was the master mind behind the map. You can reach out him on Instagram for the route but unfortunately we are unable to share it.
Next episode dropping Sunday morning :)
Amazing! I’m obsessed with this video! so much beauty. Also, The incredible edit!!!
Thank you. Stay tuned for the next three episodes.
Cool video. I am anxiously awaiting the rest of the series!
Driving the Pony is a blast. I have spent many many days and nights put there (I live very close lol).
It's a fun area and I've spent many days and nights as well. I'm in Bluffdale, where are you?
@@HoglundOverland Spanishfork. 🙂
both tacos look amazing!
Thanks!
“Sheesh Mateo, what the hell man?” Lmao
Can't wait for round number 2 👍👌 dope video guy's🙌
LOL FORGETTING WATER! That's something I would do haha.
It was ridiculous! We had drinking water but this was water for washing dishes. Definitely wouldn't have wanted to use drinking water for the dishes.
@@HoglundOverland You guys rock! Super awesome of you both!
sick video! and thank you for helping me with my history exam ! hahah
😂 love this comment 🤘🏼
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Even the night sky looks great there. Next time an astronomical telescope wud be nice companion 🙏
That’s a good idea! I just have to see if it fits😂
@@tacomabeast Tnx for replyin. U are living a great life
Man, this is some awesome quality video, very cool. Makes me want to take a trip somewhere.
Thanks bro!
6:37 i had no idea water was available like that
I’ve seen them before out in the backcountry. We got lucky we found one.
This looks amazing!
im so envious of you guys. im so close to getting a 2nd gen 4x4 trd. so excited to be able to go off-roading.
you should, its sick!! 😎
Great video friend, love from India
Good shots of the horses
Thanks, it's always amazing seeing the horses!
Saludos from Ecuador! 🇪🇨
🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
This kinda reminds me of old school Expedition Overland, before they went super commercial and became completely unrelatable.
I'd like to see the storage and battery workflow for whoever filmed this.
I think it’s the walk around video for Mateos truck.
what a film guys !!
Was an amazing trip and they did a great job with the edit.
Amazing video footage!
Keep it coming bro 👍👍👍
On the must do list!
