    Lol I love that you use solder on your wires. But your killing me with the tape. Shrink wrap man!!

      You are correct, Shrink wrap would be the best option. Thanks for commenting !

    I purchased these. I used the black with yellow stripe for common ground for both resistors and then the green with purple and green with orange stripe for the two other resistor wires. I have a 2018 Ford F-150 XLT without BLIS. Now mind you I was not given instructions for this side. Every time I spoke to someone from HR I got a different answer. One resistor. Two resistors. Only 1 resistor using black with yellow and blue with gray. Follow this advice: Use a meter, and find the ones that have voltage when using turn signal! Then splice into those wires, solder, and shrink wrap. It will save you time and a hack job in the long run. (These colors may not pertain to all or any vehicles, they are used as reference to what I used only, please use meter prior to splicing to be sure!) They may be a lot for 4 bulbs 176$ and 2 resistors and if you add in the 89$ high power reverse bulbs, but it remains a clean stock look, with added brightness which I was going for. I also used a coupon code for I believe 15% off. You may want to consider spending the extra 200$ and go with an aftermarket tail light like the morimoto but you will sacrifice the crap reverse light emitted from them and have to install reverse lights anyway. $$

    Please make a resistor that is very easy to install and cools down great for example like VLEDS VLR 3

    Awesome video Chris. I’m thinking about upgrading my lights soon on Legend. I’ll check HR out! Also. Is that a white Fiero GT I see in the background? My first car was a 1986 fastback version!!! Sweet.

    Would love to see the differences in brightness of taillight/backup lights from the same 25' away as y'all test the headlights. After all it doesn't really matter how much better they look from 2' away like in this video, we need to know how much more visible they are from a car approaching you from behind.

    Quick note: The wire colors you call out for the turn signal/resistor are only for the left turn signal. The right turn signal wires are different colors. May want to update with those colors for those who depend on you for that type of info : )

    Don't need resistors. Turn the hyper flash that's only in the cab with forescan.

  • @icecold2570

    You can skip having to install resistors altogether if you get the hyper-flash setting turned off through IDS (Forscan) at the dealer. Works like a charm.

    • @texasT6
      @texasT6 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on the dealer. My local dealer wouldn’t do this for my 250 so I used forscan instead. There’s always a way.

    • @texasT6
      @texasT6 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jeff Ziegler should be zero cost. I had my dealer activate my soot lvl for regen purposes screen and they did it at zero cost. Just depends if your dealer is willing or even knows how to do this.

      I installed LED bulbs in every socket in my 2012 Platinum F150 this last week and used Forscan to disable hyperflash. Took like 5 minutes and was COMPLETELY free. Also enabled Bambi Mode as well as DRL lights. Awesome program! Don't go to the stealership. Do it yourself for free and you'll enjoy your vehicle more. You also save from cutting into your factory wire harness and splicing in the resistors.

    Hopefully I'll get a reply as this is an older post but what color LED bulbs are you using for brake/turn.... Red or white LED? I was always taught with LED you should use same color bulb as lens due to light spectrum and penetration of light waves thru an object

    • @HeadlightRevolution

    What if you have a taillight with the blind spot radar? Does it require a different bulb?

    • @HeadlightRevolution

    Why not just change out the relay to an LED compatible blinker relay?

    • @Pjones2291
      @Pjones2291 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      New vehicles do not use relays anymore. All the vehicle lights are controlled by the BCM or Body Control Module. You can use Forscan which is free to disable hyperflash and avoid having to tap into your electrical system with resistors.

    I just installed the 1000 lumen cargo and reverse lights plus the license plate light bulbs and now my key fob is acting up. Tried my back up to make sure it wasn't the battery and same thing. It's not unlocking and locking quickly like normal. I have to wait like 15 seconds before it'll do the 2nd unlock or lock. I can keep clicking it and it does nothing. Why is that?

    • @HeadlightRevolution
      @HeadlightRevolution  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That should not be happening at all, and I have never heard of those affecting the key fob or keyless entry in general! Shoot us an email describing this issue and any other issues that you have with them, and we will be happy to get you taken care of! Sales@HeadlightRevolution.com

      @@HeadlightRevolution I sent an email last night. Thank you. I believe it to be the cargo lights because after they time out, when I exit the vehicle and shut the door for example, the fob works fine when locking the truck. But not while they are on.
