It is a good kit from what I remember and I do feel the need to make another having seen this video pop up again. You won't be disappointed with it, thanks for watching :)

Going all out on the rivet detail, NICE! The oil cooler induction does fit, you just needed to turn it around, or did you do that? The 47 looks good, but for a Republic version yellow chromate for the inner gear doors and wells, Curtiss used the green chromate and those all stayed stateside and saw no combat, just used for training. Great progress, yes they do build out very well. Good luck with the rest.

Thanks for the comment! Oh well I just removed the veins inside the engine cowl to make the fit, but you can't see the fault when built so I got away with it! As for the yellow chromate, my Tamiya acrylic arsenal is only limited at the minute as I am slowly transferring from Humbrol enamels and still have a yellow in that form, otherwise I could have mixed the chromate colour

The riveting looks good. I might have to try that.. (Or buy the 1/32 Trumpeter Razorback which has it! ;) )
    Really impressive work.

Riveting really adds another level of detail and realism to any kit if it's featured. It's a laborious process to do accurately but once done transforms the model. Thank you and thanks for watching :)

Also, thought you might be interested. I have just bought the Tarangus Viggen AJSF/SH37 in 1/48 scale. I met a pilot at the old airbase in Angelholm and was inspired to make the aircraft on display there. I may need you assistance and reference when I come to make it :)

@@TheInnerNerd Yeah I was just kidding. :) It looks wonderful.
Oh cool! Yeha I will help if needed. Would love to see that built too.
(Need to finish off my F 6 Wing AJ 37..)

What scribing tool are you using. It looks much more precise than the ones I have used.

I use one from SBS. The one in the video is from Trumpeter, but I suggest the SBS as the wheel is smaller so you can get into the tight areas on the wing roots etc. Hope this helps and thanks for watching :)

What is the tool you're using for the rivet ? Seems better than the trumpeter one

    • @theinnernerd2603

It is a Chinese manufacturer (Manwah) l. It is pretty good to use as it comes with various scales/soacung of rivets. It could do with a smaller diameter wheel though as small/tight areas are hard to cover

The website for the drawings is not secure. And the zip file(s) for the A-10 is corrupt.

Yes I noticed this too more recently. I would just search Google for blueprints now, there always seems to be some useful drawings there

    Wasn't the P-47 flush-rivetted?

show me how to scratch build a working steam locomotive in 1:8 scale. weighing 250 lb. my father did that and 3 other locomotives. He cast iron and did the boiler. they are working models now in a museum in Sweden. I donated it when he passed away. I know the owners .They were best friends. This is not model building only scratching plastic!

I think you are missing the point in this channel. I make plastic model kits of aircraft and military vehicles. I don't intend to build models completely from scratch as this is not in my interests, nor my viewers' general interests either. Also one model would take me so long you would have to wait way longer for me to release a video to watch which almost defeats the object of having the channel in the first place. I appreciate your interests are elsewhere and am sorry my channel doesn't cater for such builds but thank you for viewing and hope you enjoy my future videos

sorry . your work on this model is fantastic. I can't do this.
