Sorry, commenting as I watch... I've seen and passed on many Kubota's that have had a gauge wheel bracket busted/broken off the mower deck. Typically one of the front two gauge wheels. I've seen many that are also welded back on. I've only seen a fraction as many JD decks with this same issue. I look at tens of thousands of tractors a year, so just a general observation. Perhaps this is due to folks thinking they can raise them higher and out of the way while doing other tractor work. Can't say for sure, but a possibility. I tell my customers to never leave your mower deck on while using the tractor for other work. It's simply too easy to damage in one way or another. This goes for John Deere or Kubota tractors. The easier the deck is to remove, the more likely you are to remove it.
It is because Kubota owners use the loader with the deck attached. I have seen a Kubota BX slide off a rock pile and break the weld. The advantage to a deck that can be so easily removed on the John Deere is obviously saving a lot of deck damage.
Indeed, just happen to be watching because i'm in the market for one of exactly those 2 ... figure. your take on this in this series of video is exemplary and does show character and integrity IMHO. I enjoy watching a guy going about it, talking it through then coming back over the questions some folks have. If i may make a comment, just remember while this is available on the internet for all to see there are folks that you just can't please. They'd find ways to say: everyone is bad, even men. all tractors are bad, green and orange and bla bla bla. Just do like you did, delete is best approach and don't dignify them with a response. (Hard to do, but a necessary evil if you ask me)
💥 Hi there Tim!💥 The reason I replaced my belt was because after several seasons of use it was starting to wear unevenly and I knew if it were to break it would break at the most inopportune time probably on a Friday evening. So I replaced it with a new one which I believe was $100 and I kept the old one as a spare. I think you’re doing a great comparison. JD auto connect is very nice but the Kubota system is also easy once you’ve figured out the process where experience does help. I do however prefer the height advantage the Kubota has over the Deere. Raising it to its highest setting makes it suitable to handle heavy thick grass and even light brush. Also you’ve seen me use it as a guard when I first got my flail mower. Keep up the great videos! My family and I absolutely love your channel. I appreciate the shoutout. Keep on tractoring my friend! 👍
Practice does make perfect with the kubota deck. The jd system is slick though. My Grandpa had kubota that he used in his mowing business. I often pulled the deck 2-3 times a week to change blades and clean the deck. I had it down to where it was off in under a minuite and back on in only a couple.
Tim I own a kubota and have to say that your comparison on the two brands has been one of the best i have seen . They both have pro and cons. Giving a real world comparison instead of some salemans BS is refreshing Keep up the good work
I won't ever own a tractor but I am up all night watching your videos. Really interesting and complete. You respect your viewers and pay attention to their comments. Well done. Thanks.
Greatly appreciate the hours of work you've invested in producing videos to help inform those interested in purchasing or learning to get the full potential out of their compact tractor. Just as iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another through sharing wisdom learned by life experience you've sharpened many.
I like your quote from Proverbs 27:17 Canvas Man, "Just as iron sharpens iron ..........", one of my favorites, and very fitting for describing Tractor Time with Tim!
@@sailnut55mc43 Cannot find a better source for truth than the Word of God... Also acknowledge that I don't have the market on wisdom cornered and am thankful for those I can learn from. TH-cam can be a great platform to share knowledge and learn skills from those more experienced than myself.
I concur as I used to have a BX. Tim's comparison is exactly what I found to be true on that tractor. Everyone is going to nit pick every video. Comes with the territory.
Hi Tim. I just wanted to point out the obvious and add my two cents worth on the subject of your integrity. I have watched a lot of your videos and I have never seen you do anything remotely dishonest! Please keep doing what you're doing, 84,000+ subscribers can't be wrong!
Hey Tim, you had it right the first way in this one!! I always use my larger tractor and FEL to lift my BX so that I can get to the blades for sharpening. I guess that’s one of the benefits of having multiple tractors. Thanks for the shout out on this one!! The Other Tim with Tractors.
I think these follow-up videos are a great idea. This series really helps us viewers to understand the differences in these tractors. The John Deere drive over deck and auto connect PTO is the high water mark mower decks for these sub compact tractors. I would be sorely tempted to use a rear mount mower if I did not have they John Deere auto connect PTO deck.
I'm anxiously awaiting for the video on the directional control pedals on these two sub-compacts. As a Kubota owner and John Deere lover, I think your comparisons of the two are spot on with no prejudice shown for either one.......just the facts! Great Job Tim!
Great work Tim, you’re as fair as it gets, I learn so much from your way of explaining things, you’re spot on and appreciate all you do! Stay the way you’re, it doesn’t get any more honest and genuine!
Tim, if I can offer a piece of advice, look at the ratio of complimentary comments to those that criticize. I know it’s difficult when you’re on the receiving end, but I think you have such an overwhelming number of people who praise this series that you can safely ignore the few that are blatantly derogatory. I appreciate the amount of work you and your wife are doing to provide this service to others. You are setting a standard that future reviewers will need to meet if they are to have credibility.
Tim. Your videos seem always very fair to me. I am grateful. It may be a while before I have my own 1025 and either Ventrac or Steiner, but seeing how you put things to the test gives me a great idea what will work for my needs. Keep living my dream. I’ll get there someday!!
I go around helping small farm or ranch owners out with their tractor every now and then. They often need help changing attachments or learning how to do maintenance on their machines. At one place the lady had a Kubota tractor. It was a little older and a little bigger than the bx in the video. My dad and I were told to take the belly mower off and put the brush hog on, then mow the back field down. Taking the deck off was pretty easy. All we had to do was pull the pins out of the back, drop down a front support by pulling a latch, and disconnect the pto. All of that was very simple and only took a minute or two. After that we just put the tractor in 4 wheel drive and drove it over the deck like you did but without block. I thought it was pretty similar to the bx and personally I don’t see it as that big of a deal. You did a great job demonstrating the deck in the video. Keep up the good work!
Have just started catching your tractor videos. Think highly of both green and orange. I find you very informative, entertaining and honest in your assessments. Great job. Thanks so much.
I always day dreamed about a kubota but these videos have really made me appreciate deeres too. Thanks for honest thoughts and great info. Really like your channel and videos.
Great video Tim. About the only time I change my BX 2660 mower deck is when I'm transitioning from summer to winter or vise versa so I put my front end loader on & use it to raise the front end of the tractor off the ground & the deck can easily be pulled out or pushed in without any scrapes on the frame. I use my FEL all winter because I have a rear mounted Buhler 50 inch snow blower with 4 hydraulic hose connectors to turn the shoot & change the angle of the deflector. I found out today when I looked at a 1025 that JD can only do 2 hose connection in the back & it is very expensive because you have to remove the cab to install the extra hydraulics. Jumpin Joe
Tim, thanks for this comparison series. I'm a new owner of a 1025r. Purchased it with bucket, backhoe and mower. Also, sprung for a Westendorf Brush Crusher. I have about 12 semi-wooded acres here in Floyd, Virginia which I mow about five. Before deciding on the Deere I spent many month's researching and it came down to the Kabota and Deere. I'll still primarily mow with my 60 inch Ferris Zero turn and 54 inch Simplicity Prestige, I learned long ago that it never hurts to have a spare mower. The two factors that settled the choice to the 1025r was proximity of dealer location and attachment install and removal process. Thanks for your great videos and fair and detailed reviews.
Tim, you have done a great job of telling people the difference between the two tractors as you see it. You know there’s always a negative Nancy in the bunch saying you didn’t do something right. Keep on doing what you doing.
Tim your follow up videos are KEY, you are doing everything perfectly! You give your best un-bias review and then you listen to what people have to say in the comments and give a follow up.. you can’t POSSIBLY be anymore fair than your being.. your absolutely right, a color tractor doesn’t make you bias what makes you bias or un-bias is your personal character.. PS. I DID however hear quite a few PLASTIC jokes! Haha! You crack me up, keep doing what your doing Tim!! Love and god bless
These have definitely been the best comparison videos ever done. When I was buying my 1025r with the 54d. My salesman explained all the auto connect options. He said the auto connect pto can be troublesome if something gets out of wack. I ended up getting the standard manual pto connection as I’m still young. I can be a little tricky to get hooked back up. But it you pull on the deck belt a little you can get the splines to line up.
Great job with your video tutorials. As a new owner of JD 1025R (or green owner, hi hi) the non bias approach, comparing sub compact tractors, really gives me confidence in fellow tractor owners.
I think your reviews have been VERY helpful! Thank you for doing them. I know how much time you're spending to do these videos and I know it's not without sacrifice, so please don't let the haters stop you. I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm getting a lot out of this series!
BINGO!! Poppa Bear, Momma Bear and Baby bear holes! My NEW BX 1880 Hits bottom with lower hole and is not low enough with the Upper hole. Yes I did put the mower in the TOP position! Great work again Tim. FYI I take my spindle guards off when mowing. they fill so bad with grass that I can smell my belt burning from time to time. Great comments from Jon and Neil and all the others. Keep up the honest work. I hope Kubota is listening! When I move up there's an excellent chance it's the JD 1025R and not the BX 23s!!!
Tim, I want to make a couple more comments to you and to your viewers. These videos are a real benefit to anyone who is in the market for a tractor. Here is my story, about ten years ago I bought my first house and I needed a riding mower (I had about an acre and half) I bought a cheap used Cub Cadet (not the old Real Cub Cadets of years gone by) I had one problem after another so I figured it was time to get a real mower. So I compared JD and Kubota as you might expect. I was impressed with both, it was neck and neck but I ended up going with the Deere X300 because there is a local Deere dealer, the closest Orange dealer was a good ways away. I LOVED the X300 but I got cheap and got it with the 48inch deck. After three years I upgraded to the X320 on a whim but again made the mistake of getting the 48inch deck. Two years ago I upgraded to the X380 with the 54 inch deck and I LOVE it. Now since then a Kubota dealer has come to town. I no longer consider them because I have such a great relationship with my Deere dealer. HOWEVER, if I can convince my wife a tractor is in my future and because it will be such a big purchase I will once again consider the Kubota. Your videos are blessing to anyone in the market. I have not been able to find anyone who does the great job you do and actually applying REAL WORLD use in the reviews. I also really appreciate that you are not afraid to insert your faith at time when this world has become so politically correct. I look forward to seeing your valuable input for years to come. God bless you and your family by brother in Christ!
Thanks for these videos Tim. JD definitely has a great auto connect deck. A few years ago I was looking at getting a subcompact tractor. I looked at all the color tractors I could find. One of the same conversations I got from the Kubota dealers was “you really don’t want the drive over deck.” The way you took the deck off in your video was the same way we used to take the deck off my grandfathers 1968 Bolens 1250 garden tractor. That tractor is still being used, but has been retired from lawn cutting duties. Have a great weekend.
Your videos are so much fun to watch, partly because of the editing (aka story telling) and partly because of the trust I feel you've earned in the way you present both fact and opinion. Great work!
I had a B1550 and I put the blocks in front and drove off the deck. Very tough heavy-duty workhorse. My deck was 7 gauge with a 1 1/2” bull nose on front. Put a Bush-Hog bucket on it and it opened up a whole new world. Before that I had a shovel and a pig pole for the back. I plan on buying a tractor now that I’m getting close to retirement and I’ll be buying a low-hour Kubota B-series again.
Around 2 years ago we purchased this farm including the small Massey GC2300. Never driven a tractor before, the mower deck was a pain. Then saw an add for JD drive over, and went with that. Never cause an issue with the old monster of a deck, and with minimal concrete pulling it out required a 2nd tractor almost.
Tim, dont worry about the judgmental negative comments, you are awesome. Based on what I have seen there is NO reason to question your character. I fully understand how people will take things much to personal and try and project that on you. I am used car dealer specializing in late model trucks. (2014 to current model years) While I do sell the occasional Nissan and Toyota the vast majority of my business are the big three (GM, Ford and Ram) Each make has their fans and yes "fan" can be short for fanatic. However, I can honestly there are things I love and not really love about each. I also have my personal favorite, however I have to keep that to myself most of the time because of the brand loyalty of these makes. I think your reviews are by far the best available. I think you are more sincere and straight forward that 99% of the folks I have seen do online reviews. Keep up the Good Works and don't let the negative Nelly's get you down brother!!
Tim, so far these have been some of the best comparison videos between the Kubota and the Deere. I’m on the market for one of these machines and I feel confident that you’re providing some really honest information. I watch Neil and Jon as well, but so far you have the most in-depth coverage of BOTH machines. Keep it up! One thing I’d like to see is a comparison of the loaders, specifically the smoothness of the valves and ability to do multiple functions simultaneously.
Don’t worry about what other people think You do a good job with your videos and talking about the tractors and everything better then some Dealer i have talk to
Hi Tim, the videos are great! Just a little issue I find on TH-cam: If you could number all of your video, I could find my place when I have been away for a while. I am an investor/mentor in my son in law's trucking business. We only haul over/dimensional, over /weight loads and started with one driver about 15 months ago - now we have eight. These videos of yours are VERY useful to me. My son (he is more a son than a son in law) has 19 acres, a small ranch and a nice 20 x 40 pole barn for working on equipment. I want to lease some of the abutting land (40 acres) to put some cows on. So I look at all of this "stuff" for educational purposes. You, sir, are a very good teacher and I thank you for what you do. May God bless you and your family.
I love watching your videos. Most all of them are entertaining and educational. My sub-compact is neither green or orange, but I have a blue one (LS). During these videos I have learned somethings about my tractor as you have pointed them out with the other tractors. First thing I found out my tractor thru this series is the "S" on my deck gauge holds my deck up when is traveling. Before if I traveled long distance, I would turn my pressure valve closed. My belly deck is similar to the Kubota deck and it is challenging, but manageable.
I have a 2014 John Deere 1025r TLB with the Autoconnect. I've never had any connection issues even with the pto selector set to midmount. In fact, most of the time, mine is set to midmount only. Great videos as always!
I also ignored my dealers strenuous objections to the drive over deck, purchased a 60 inch, works great. Everyone who thinks this is problematic should watch the video by Aaron Twitty. Love the videos you and your family make even though your tractor is not what I own. Keep up the good work. Regards, Dan Fechter
Hey Tim and Christy - That was a 3 cheeseburger video! I think your reviews are the best and the most fair of any I've seen! Looking forward to the next video!
Great videos as usual Tim. Can't wait for you to get your hands on a MF 1725m and direct compare like this one. Loving all your content. It is because of you that I am even looking at getting a sub compact tractor. God bless to you and your family.
You do a very fair comparison between the tractors. Even the Kubota owners would agree. I have two different Kubota and a John Deere and I have no trouble with you videos. Keep the videos coming.
Tim I work at a JD dealer. We always install AutoConnect systems. Unless the customer requests not to have it. The pitch of the AutoConnect coupler can make a pain if not aligned properly. Also we find it is difficult at times to install the deck on loose or soft surfaces. Sometimes we suggest the customer to get some rubber mats to help prevent the deck sliding and settling in the ground.
Good video Tim! You’re doing a great job! As a BX2380 owner I know my tractor is not the be all, end all tractor. It seems to me that you are giving a fair comparison of each. I’ll keep watching! Thanks
Been looking for a subcompact and both of these seem to be around on Facebook marketplace from different dealers. The videos are great, informative, and well balanced. I learned operational things about both tractors that will come in handy no matter what I choose. I grew up driving Steiger Tiger's, so I am always amused at how polarized people get about brands. Awesome video!
Nice video as always. Very honest comparisons. I love Neil’s and your comparisons and the time you both out in to do real world comparisons. Thanks again
Tim, I love these kinds of comparison videos and of all that I have watched so far yours stand out as some of the best. I feel you present the information honestly, without bias and with as much knowledge as you can pull together. You can't, and I don't expect you to know everything. I haven't witnessed any bias or intentionally misleading statements. Your followup videos are simply great and go to your desire to present the comparisons honestly and with integrity. I lean towards the Orange Team with my equipment and this video series helps me to know the pros and cons should I ever decide to get a Sub Compact tractor. Thank you for creating these videos and never forget that there will always be someone around to try to tear you down. Don't give them time or satisfaction. Looking forward to more videos! God bless you and your family!
Tim, I have found everything in your videos to be factually, honest, and unbiased. Love your videos on everything, keep up the good work! Also, I just wanted to share that although disengaging the pto is a great tip, I have always hooked up my auto-connect deck with the pto engaged (both rear or mid), and I have never once had an issue with it not linking up correctly. Mine's a 2016, and maybe I'm just lucky, but it works perfectly every time. The only thing that a simply must do, is be on a flat surface, but that's not a difficult task for my yard/garage.
My dealer would not sell the drive over deck...period. Thanks for mentioning my last comment. Now try to remove and install the deck in dirt lol. You are doing a great job!
Many thanks for your time, effort and objectivity in comparing and contrasting these two worthwhile machines. I own a Kubota BX 2200 almost 20 years old and, while it still performs admirably, it's getting a bit long in the tooth. A trip last week to a Bobcat dealer for an unrelated matter found me salivating over that company's resumed line of compact and subcompact tractors. Would appreciate any thoughts or chatter you may have heard about these machines. Otherwise, many thanks again for your work, which surely takes time. As well, I suggest ignoring snarky comments about subjectivity. If the snarks take issue with your findings, they can present evidence to the contrary or conduct their own compare/contrast research and reportage.
Work smarter not harder. Using a set of ramps or raising the front with the FEL makes removal and installation of the mower deck super easy. I have the 54" "heavy duty" mid mount mower deck on my BX. Also, it is cross compatible with the Kubota zero turn mowers.
Hi Tim I can only comment on my particular Tractor I have a 2004 Kabota B 7510 which is a 23 hp tractor with a 54 inch RCK 54B Mower deck I bought it new and have mode very tall brush with it as well as regular mowing on my 2 1/2 acres the double the belt is still the original I have never smoked it however I have stalled the tractor when mowing very tall brushThis is just FYI thank you I enjoy your videos keep up the good work
Tim first off I own a BX2370, but like you I feel it is a good Idea to give people information and let them do with it what they want. You and your wife have been very informative fair in judgements but not one sided. I love my Kubota but in turn tried to talk my nieghbor into a John Deer for reason that fit his particular case and need. Needless to say his son talked him into a Bseries Kubota it is a beaughtiful unit but does not work for him, (unfortunate). But you can only lead the horse to water. Thank you for all the time and I know money you spend to make these videos they are very helpful. Gerry
Like your videos Tim, cannot believe what you do with that tractor. Like Neil’s videos, he has explained so much for a first time tractor owner. I subscribe to both of you. I just bought a Kubota, felt the dealer gave me the best deal. I looked at most of the brands, they all have good and bad, just like the Chevy Ford Dodge debate. If you take care of any of them they will last forever.
Hi Tim I had not seen this video before My comment about the gauge wheels. Now it seems If it's not impossible to drill another hole so the deck is supported enough for clearance & ease of rolling Thanks Ken
Love the videos keep it up. I have a kubota l2501. Seeing what you got done with Johnny made me confident I could get done what I needed with a smaller unit.
That stinger video at the end had me clinched! I hate cutting the ditch at my house. I have a BX23S that you actually inspired me to buy. I love watching your work with Jonny and you always amazed me how productive you could make a sub-compact be. You fairly said in an episode a few years ago that dealer support was very important when buying a tractor. That’s, honestly, why I bought the Kubota. I was inspired by your videos to buy a subcompact TLB but, unfortunately, our local green dealer has a poor reputation. My choice boiled down to that. I do find the slightly smaller size of the BX to be helpful for my application. Another lesson I learned from you! I love my BX even if my mower deck in pain in the tail to get on and off!
Thanks for the kind comment. The last scene is from this Sunday’s upcoming episode. ...and there is a pretty major surprise finding (at least to me) in this upcoming episode.
I was thinking about getting a new Yanmar but after watching your comparison I’m starting to lean towards the Kubota for its size. Still researching the two. I would go with JD but to long of a drive to the nearest dealer. God bless you and your family.
i don't own any tractors. i just like them. and you do a great job of making these videos. i watch every one of them. as for the negative comments. well there will always be someone to pick out all the fine details an have vast ( or not so much ) knowledge of everything . but you do always say " i may be wrong "but it's your opinion . haters will be haters. keep up the good work. an i'll keep watching them..
I have a LX2610 with the 60" mid mount mower and the only flaw I've found with the double v belt is that it seems to catch small rocks in the middle which then damages the belt once it encounters the pulleys. I extracted a few of them upon inspection after my first year of use. The 60" deck for the LX models is also not a drive over and is not exactly easy to install or remove but it is not terrible either.
I have a BX1500 and just wanted to say that on that model and should be on most that if the 3-point raise and lower lever is pushed all the way down it goes into a float position. Love your comparisons, I have always been a Deere fan, but Kubota offered me the best deal when I was looking to buy. Now I love my BX.
I don’t know if you’re planning on comparing snowblowers, but I had a Kubota GR 2020 prior to getting my 1023. The Kubota snowblower was a struggle every year to mount. Hopefully the sub compact is easier, but looking at some of the you tube installation videos it looks very similar. Against n the JD is unbelievably easy to install, it takes me longer to get it out of storage then the time to install it. One Kudo for the Kubota (GR2020). It had a bypass switch that allowed the PTO to run while backing up, as long as you didn’t get off the tractor. This made snowblowing much easier. I’m reluctant to try the aftermarket by passes for the JD.
I have a 18 year old Kubota B7500 HSD, I recently repaired one mower deck spindle bearing & replaced the v-belt, just incase, the old one is a spare now and just replaced the 18 year old Yusas Battery- that's the longest living battery I have ever own. The Yusas battery 55B24LS is not available in the USA, I wonder why-- they last too long....:) I don't take my deck off for any reason, except to do this latest repair. Thanks to Messicks, I got a fair price on the parts & very knowledgable support. :)
Ok, I just recently bought a kubota bx with a 60in mmm drive over deck and I have to say I think I would much rather have the 60in regular mmm because the drive over scalps the lawn more because the regular has independent springs it hangs from and the drive over eliminates them and as a result scalps more. Tim I for one think your videos are fair and honest !!
I own 2 Kubota tractors and I must say you are doing a fine job of comparing the two models you have . One thing that may be important to many of us would be the cost difference between the mower decks , drive over JD and non drive over Kubota . If one can save a certain amount of money it may make it worth while to put up without a drive over unit .
I'm about to buy a new tractor: I'm not shure of which one I'll choose, but there are a lot of things to watch. I have littles corners on my property that are really narrow. I already own a JD D140 that has a 48'' deck and I can barely go through that space. I'm shure that I won't be able to go there with a bigger deck. The smallest one with the Jonh Derre is 54 PLUS the black part. So, it's not such a big deal, I could get my Honda landmower to finish the job but... It add more work to complete the job... It's not alway easy to take the decision... So... lets continu to watch the other vidéos. Thanks for your EXCELLENTS VIDEOS Tim!
I have a JD 1025R, wish I got the Kubota B2650, might have to get one later. I'll keep the JD too, Just wish JD had the single point hydraulic connection mine has a Curtis cab and its REALLY HARD to get the hoses on and off. Thanks for the info on the PTO I too didn't know abought keeping it in rear mode.
Thanks for your informative videos I think you are giving a fair comparison between the two im a new Bx23s owner the deer was my second choice the dealer ship was the deciding factor in the mower deck trouble could be solved my parking the back tires on a 2x6 I watched john ritters video from you link and what i got from it lube and practice makes it easy and on both the right adjustments are key thanks again keep it up
Tim, I think this is a great series. I actually compared these exact models when I bought my 2017 1025R. Even though the Kabota was less money I ended up with the Deer because the local dealer was better and because they weren't fans of filling the rear tires or the drive over deck. The service was also not very good. To me the Deer was the better purchase for me. Its also surprising how often I had the deck and loader on and off and ease of use made it that much more enjoyable to use the tractor.
Thanks for the comment. I agree with being surprised at how often you use something when it is easy, and how many excuses you find NOT to use something when it is not easy!!
13:30...the deck is fully on the ground hence why the deck gauge wheels slide up into the deck lip rest on the ground, how ever those pulleys are not made for that, nor at the bearings in the spindle housing, the blocks on the front are nice and work, but you should put a 2x10 on top of them and over the deck onto another set or 6"x angle cut as a ramp with a flat riser spot for a good 6" to keep that 2x10 from sitting on those pulleys and spindles. thanks for showing this.
Tim, I just came across your videos and thought I would add my 2 cents on the Kabota drive over deck. I don't know about availability, but my dealer (mid Michigan area) never had anything bad to say about the drive over deck for my BX2380. I've been using it for over two years and I like the drive over deck. I agree the ramps are a little annoying, but they work and I've had no issues with the mower or deck. I like your Deer vs Kabota series and have to say I think you have been more than fair with your analysis. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for sharing!
It is because Kubota owners use the loader with the deck attached. I have seen a Kubota BX slide off a rock pile and break the weld. The advantage to a deck that can be so easily removed on the John Deere is obviously saving a lot of deck damage.
Your character is what makes your integrity and your integrity and your character are spot on God bless
They'd find ways to say:
everyone is bad, even men.
all tractors are bad, green and orange
and bla bla bla.
Just do like you did, delete is best approach and don't dignify them with a response. (Hard to do, but a necessary evil if you ask me)
💥 Hi there Tim!💥
The reason I replaced my belt was because after several seasons of use it was starting to wear unevenly and I knew if it were to break it would break at the most inopportune time probably on a Friday evening.
Giving a real world comparison instead of some salemans BS is refreshing
Keep up the good work
💥 I agree, he’s doing a great job!
I won't ever own a tractor but I am up all night watching your videos. Really interesting and complete. You respect your viewers and pay attention to their comments. Well done. Thanks.
Thanks James!
Way to go guys. As a Ford tractor owner, I find this analysis very honest and generous of you.
Thanks for bringing all the additional points to us Tim, it's evident you're trying to give us as much information as you have been able to dig up.
There is no question regarding your integrity Tim! I've never felt you've been anything but honest and fair.
Didn’t know about the putting it in to Rear PTO when install the John Deere mower deck when connecting thanks
I own Kubota and I find these videos to be very fair, good work!
I've done similar, using my 1025R's bucket to lift the front of our ZTR for cleaning the mower deck and removing blades for sharpening.
I'm so glad you spent the time to make these videos. They have been great help in picking what tractor to buy.
Thanks for watching, John! Appreciate the comment!
Your channel... your comments... your opinions. Keep on, keep on. 👍
Jumpin Joe
you and christy do a great job on all of your videos and are very fair. I love watching, learning and learning about new products on your channel.
Add the auto connect...you won’t regret.
I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm getting a lot out of this series!
hey Tim , that's a good comment on how to drive over a normal kubota mower deck, all you need is a small wood ramp.
Great comment on pot positions when connecting the deck, I’ll remember to leave in the rear only when using the auto connect, thanks
This entire series has been a very fair, honest comparison. The bottom line is that both of these tractors are really good.
Have a great weekend.
hey Tim, it was great how you showed how easy it is to make the normal kubota mower deck a drive over.
Your videos are so much fun to watch, partly because of the editing (aka story telling) and partly because of the trust I feel you've earned in the way you present both fact and opinion. Great work!
Thanks for the feedback Jonathan!
Loafers are coming up sometime soon. Not sure whenZ
As a 23s owner, i find your video very informative. Keep up the good work Tim !
Go to our channel page...click uploads...then the videos are sorted in time order
Regards,
Dan Fechter
These videos are extremely well done and fair. Really enjoying the series and follow ups!
Hey Tim and Christy -
That was a 3 cheeseburger video!
I am going to have to read these posts before I post them so I can fix the spelling errors.
Thank you Tim, it's a pleasure watching your videos and I appreciate the perspectives you bring to both brands. (and Vinnie) Keep up the good work!
We had a Steiger Bearcat III
Thanks for the kind words.
It will bite you sometime. You’ll say “why isn’t this working!?!? It has always worked before!”
@@TractorTimewithTim LOL, jinxed myself.... Hope not.
I thank you are very honest in your reviews and they help me out a great deal. I'm looking at both of these units now. Thank you so much......
Another awesome video... at the Deere and Kubota dealer today. Still undecided... keep up the great work. God bless. 👍
Read my website article discussing JDQA vs SSQA on subcompact tractors. That should seal the deal.
Excellent 👍😊 unbiased comparison of both machines. Thanks Tim and GOD BLESS you and your channel.
My dealer would not sell the drive over deck...period. Thanks for mentioning my last comment. Now try to remove and install the deck in dirt lol. You are doing a great job!
Wow. Hope you didn’t mind me quoting you :-)
@@TractorTimewithTim Not at all! Love yall guys!
You always do such informative and unbiased presentations. Love your channel, keep up the good work!
@ 12:10 - Can you just buy two regular "v-belts" of the correct length?
No, this would not be prudent.
Thanks for kind words.
Bobcat tractors are identical to Kioti tractors. If you like them, I would suggest looking at Kioti.
Work smarter not harder. Using a set of ramps or raising the front with the FEL makes removal and installation of the mower deck super easy. I have the 54" "heavy duty" mid mount mower deck on my BX. Also, it is cross compatible with the Kubota zero turn mowers.
Hi Tim I can only comment on my particular Tractor I have a 2004 Kabota B 7510 which is a 23 hp tractor with a 54 inch RCK 54B Mower deck I bought it new and have mode very tall brush with it as well as regular mowing on my 2 1/2 acres the double the belt is still the original I have never smoked it however I have stalled the tractor when mowing very tall brushThis is just FYI thank you I enjoy your videos keep up the good work
Your doing a great job with this comparison. Thank you very much for your time and effort.
Gerry
Would love to hear why the b series does not meet his needs.
Your doing a great job. I’ve owned both and you are hitting all the points in truth.
Hi Tim
I had not seen this video before My comment about the gauge wheels.
Now it seems If it's not impossible to drill another hole so the deck is supported enough for clearance & ease of rolling
Thanks
Ken
Or get a Deere autoconnect deck and avoid this altogether.
OK
I'll play along
Will it also fit a Kubota?
Just Kidding
@@TractorTimewithTim
Your character has always been outstanding. Great info as always!
I was thinking about getting a new Yanmar but after watching your comparison I’m starting to lean towards the Kubota for its size. Still researching the two. I would go with JD but to long of a drive to the nearest dealer. God bless you and your family.
I believe the reviews are going to get better and better, looking forward.
Thanks Tim for the up date your as fair on these two tractors as can be
Nice job. You’re a good guy Tim. Great attitude.
I've found taking my mower deck off (bx-1870) with the front end loader propping up the tractor makes it easier to slide it out from underneath it.
i don't own any tractors. i just like them. and you do a great job of making these videos. i watch every one of them. as for the negative comments. well there will always be someone to pick out all the fine details an have vast ( or not so much ) knowledge of everything . but you do always say " i may be wrong "but it's your opinion . haters will be haters. keep up the good work. an i'll keep watching them..
I have a Kubota BX1880 and love it. Was a toss up between it and green, but locally our JD dealer is horrible and have great Kubota dealers.
I never move my lever out of the mid mower setting when putting the deck back on my 1026 r and I have never had an issue , I had it for 6 years now !
Tim, You are doing a great job. I am looking forward to your next video, keep up the good work.
Hmm. There is no 3 pt float position on the 2680.
The Yusas battery 55B24LS is not available in the USA, I wonder why-- they last too long....:)
I don't take my deck off for any reason, except to do this latest repair.
Mentioned in this follow up episode.
Awesome job as always Tim, keep up the greet work and just ignore the negative.
God speed.
Welcome to our channel, Bill! Hope you stick around for a few of our more ‘light-hearted’ episodes. This comparison series was WAY too stressful!
I'm totally enjoying this series of videos!!! Great work and thank you Tim👍✌️
