Country music has some of the very best songs ever. Love the storytelling. Some real heartbreakers!!! It hits hard!!! If you have time or would like to react to more country there’s two by Kenny Chesney by Don’t Blink and There goes my life. So good!!! ❤❤❤
The woman at the end when he was taking his son fishing was "same sweet girl". She survived! Most people don't even see her at the end. He was the son of baseball player Tug McGraw -- inspired Live Like You Were Dying. It's Your Love was sung by Tim and his wife Faith Hill.
The doctor said his momma is fading fast, so Johnny has a son and at the end that was Johnny and Johnny jr and the same sweet girl running to them with the picnic basket
Though Tim is really good, the title of Country Music King goes to George Strait. I recommend listening to his songs "Amarillo by Morning" from his early career and "Troubadour" his most popular song (and one of the ones he played during his final concert tour before retiring from it)
Fun fact for you. I know you like one ok rock, because that's how I started following you. But, did you know that taka loves country music and listens to it quite often. If you pay attention to his singing, he does country twiangs often in his singing. I personally love country story telling. Country from late 80s, 90s, and early 2000s are the best story telling. I haven't checked your list, but if you have not listened to Brad Paisley, you should. Start with "he didn't have to be" I always look forward to your reactions. I love them ❤
So glad you got back to some country! Don’t be sad. She didn’t die. At the end you see her running towards Johnny and their son!!!! Please keep on the journey!!!
Of course you nailed it! And yes, it hits you, every time! Tim is married to Faith Hill, and is officially retired, which means he's putting out new music about half as often! Seriously, pick anything by Tim and you'll enjoy it. As will we. Have a great day! And when you DO do "Like You Were Dying", remember he wrote it about his relationship with his father, whom he did NOT grow up with. His father is the late baseball great Tug McGraw.
I think it helps to watch the video. At the end it seems like she's there with them. She's running with a basket. It's definitely an emotional song and story. 💖🦋
In an interview many many years ago, Tim explained who the lady is at the end of the video...it's "the girl". Although she was in critical condition..."fading fast"...she pulled through. I love the beginning with the "girls have cooties" belief!
My brother, when in elementary school used to say that girls had cooties. Run and scream cooties if they tried to kiss him. Years later, brother a hoe. Lol
The one I always watch people react to is a song by Hardy (featuring Lainey Wilson) called "Wait in the Truck." It's another one with good storytelling and one hell of an impact.
I’m 61 years old, Married over 42 years, 4 adult sons, 2 grandsons, I’ve lost both of my parents. Have had a nephew commit suicide…….so, yes I cry at a lot of country songs. …..Television commercials get Mr too.
Humble and Kind is a good song. Awesome video and message too Also A soldier's tribute "If You're Reading This" He doesn't have an official video for it but another creator made one and did really well.
I knew this one would get you. This song has always made me cry, ever since I was a kid and today is no different. I grew up listening to this music so hearing it again so many years later was like hearing my childhood. And I can still sing along to every word.
My little sister wanted me to hear this back in 1997. I wasn't big on country music, so I kept putting her off. She died suddenly at the age of 22 due to a blood clot in her lungs. When we were going through and packing her stuff, I found her cd player, and this is what was in it. No matter how many years it has been, every time I hear this song, I cry for hours. I just turned 51, and it hit me that she has been gone longer than she was here. I miss her.
I am so sorry for your loss. Just lost my dad recently, losing a loved one has to be one of the hardest things ever. Your story gave me chills. I can only imagine how emotional you must get when hearing this song.
I feel like a lot of people miss that the mother died, cuz the last part is not a call back, it's a continuation, the son is his Jr, so his name is also Johnny.
*Tim McGraw* what an incredible country singer.. a legend. I want to give you a different type of tear jerker, laugh tears, I suggest: - BRAD PAISLEY "I'M GONNA MISS HER"
My favorite Tim McGraw song is Real Good Man. Its upbeat and not sad. His duets with his wife, Faith Hill, are also outstanding. Great reaction and She did run out at the end of the video.
I love the progression in the song from a little boy, who thinks girls have "cooties" and would gladly give up fishing altogether as long as she doesn't go, to gladly giving up his own life for that same girl.
He is a Legend among the Country Music! So glad you reacted to him! I lost my father a year ago, so this song really just hits me losing someone close to me. Just like all country songs it really does tell a story and you can easily relate to it.
Sitting here in tears after listing to this for the first time in a long time. This song is especially painful after losing someone close to you, but its that pain that lets you know the love hasn't faded even after all this time and gives you a good way to let those feelings out.
If you want to check out more Tim McGraw, I'd recommend "It's Your Love" (a duet with his wife Faith Hill) and "Something Like That" (for something more upbeat)
Great reaction! Into another great country song Private Andrew Malone!! Or listen to Brad Paisley’s singing she’s everything to me!! Keep on listening to some more country songs be sure to listen to till you can’t another greatOh!!
Haven't heard this song in years. Never married & have no children. Doesn't matter. Big puddle of tears. ALWAYS a big puddle of tears when listening to this song. Watching you being impacted by it only made it worse. Great reaction. As I knew it would be. Would love for you to react to 2 Vince Gill songs. 1. "When I Call Your Name" (the official video with Patty Loveless & a really great piano player. You only see his hands.) 2. "Go Rest High on That Mountain". (Vince wrote it when he lost his brother, but sang it at George Jones' funeral) Please watch the official video with Patty Loveless and Ricky Skaggs)
Dude! I can't tell you how many times I have heard this song in my life (I was around when it first came out) and it STILL makes me cry. No shame in this one. If you want a fun song by Tim McGraw, I Like It I Love It is a good one.
You know it's coming but it will still get you. I have tears running down my face even though I have listen to this song for over 30 years. It still gets me. Love from Oklahoma
Tim McGraw Live Like You Were Dyin'. I promise you'll like it and it will not make you cry. Despite having "death" the title, it will actually put a smile on your face. Good message in the song. I can't wait to see if you’ll do it! Then the all so fun song "I Like It, I Love It" by him as well. That's a very good, fun song.
Hi from Indiana... I am 44 and have heard this song a million times and still cried lol.... I am sooooooooo blessed to have grown up with this music. Much love from my home to yours.
She did not die... That was Mom running with the picnic basket in the last scene of the video. Ya missed it apparently. Tim has a ton of hits. This was one of his earliest hits. I love his song 'Humble & Kind' & the official video is beautiful. He also has fun songs like 'Southern voice'. You need to learn to back up a bit if you stop. Country is about the lyrics & you are cheating yourself. You stop in the middle of a sentence, & miss cool details. Love your show & your spunk & the vulnerability you have shown in the past. Happy Easter.
I think you'd really love the song "Love Without End, Amen" by George Strait. It's a beautiful song about a father's love! Also, if you want a real tear-jerker, I recommend "You Can Let Go" by Crystal Shawanda. I love that song so much but I always have to call my dad after hearing it from just the raw emotion. I love your videos and your reactions, you're amazing, man! :)
Sometimes, Country stories are left open-ended. We weren’t told if Mom made it or not. The last verse could be just a repeat of the first, or was it the new Dad and Son simply living the circle of life, with Mom waiting at home? I prefer to think so. Beautiful song.
This song has such a powerful message. Thanks for doing this one. My favorite songs from the great Tim McGraw are When She Wakes Up, One of These Days, Just To See You Smile, Don't Take the Girl, Can’t Be Really Gone, I Do But I Don’t, Angry All the Time, Grown Men Don’t Cry, Back When, My Little Girl, Everywhere, You Had To Be There, and If You’re Reading This.
If you want to react to some GREAT country story telling, look up "Travis Tritt trilogy". It's a compilation of three songs that tell one of the best stories ever.
Oh I get it. I almost died giving birth to my youngest son. This song came out around that time. Took a very long time before I could listen to it at all. Still tear up listening.
One of my favorite Tim McGraw songs is Cowboy in Me. I think you'd also really love Alan Jackson. I recommend Drive (For Daddy Gene). It always makes me emotional but it's not sad per se it's more reminiscent.
Love your reaction. This is one of my favorite songs by Tim McGraw. I always tear up when listening to it. You really can't go wrong with anything by Tim. A few others you might like are: I like it, I love it, Humble & Kind, It's your Love (duet with wife Faith Hill), Live like you were dying, Where the green grass grows and Indian Outlaw. His Everywhere album is really good too. Looking forward to more Country reactions, you many great artists to choose from.
"Sissy's Song" by Alan Jackson makes me cry but it's also comforting...I just lost my baby girl...my ES-K9. She kept me alive for twelve years...Sissy's Song is stuck in my head.
80s and 90s country music has some amazing storytellers. I love Travis tritt. Foolish pride, best of intentions, anymore. All great songs. Anymore also has a music video that goes along with 2 other songs and mvs
Not sure if it was my suggestion that got you to react to this one but so glad you did. We share a very similar view on country music and I'm glad this song in particular hit you the same way it does me

Another great song by Tim is "Live Like You Were Dying." I haven't heard this song in about a decade and I got a ton of dust in my eyes.
Aye, that's the song to check. A classic.
not just a good song but a good life lesson as well
Oh yeah? Happy to check it out as well! 💯
I heard it was based on his father Tug McGraw (Before he found out they didn't get all the tumor).
I was about to make the same suggestion when I saw your comment. "Live Like You Were Dying" is such an amazing song.
The woman at the end when he was taking his son fishing was "same sweet girl". She survived! Most people don't even see her at the end.
He was the son of baseball player Tug McGraw -- inspired Live Like You Were Dying.
It's Your Love was sung by Tim and his wife Faith Hill.
Ah she did!!; 🥹🥹
I actually love it better to think she didn't. Much more emotional punch

go kick your dog why don't you...............
Tim McGraw is my one and only.
The doctor said his momma is fading fast, so Johnny has a son and at the end that was Johnny and Johnny jr and the same sweet girl running to them with the picnic basket
Not many people noticed the girl running towards them carrying a picnic basket.
At the end of this video, you see his son and wife with him. His prayer was answered. God let them live.
The woman at the end when he was taking his son fishing was "same sweet girl".
You cry, but smile at the end, because you do see her run to meet them. She did survive
Though Tim is really good, the title of Country Music King goes to George Strait. I recommend listening to his songs "Amarillo by Morning" from his early career and "Troubadour" his most popular song (and one of the ones he played during his final concert tour before retiring from it)
She made it, though… She was there in the end. 🥰
Don't worry she lived that was her running to them at the end.
Its okay!! You see her an their son alive at the end of the video!!
The mother did run out at the end when they were fishing 😊
You're breaking my heart. It's ok the girl lives.
The girl didn't die, it was a close call.........it's such a beautiful semi cliffhanger......Country Music is so EPIC!
Hey man the mom was ok! She runs to join them at the very end! ♥️

She lived. At the end she was running towards them
Dont know if you know already or seen it but mom did live and at the end of the vid she's running toward them in the blue flannel shirt. ❤
So glad you got back to some country! Don’t be sad. She didn’t die. At the end you see her running towards Johnny and their son!!!! Please keep on the journey!!!

Check out Martina McBride "Concrete Angel" and "Independence Day"
She lived! Watch the very end of the video after the dad grabs the little boy’s hand you see “the girl” running to them carrying a picnic basket! ❤
Song end happy because in the video you do see mother with them.. them taking the child fishing. Also, each verse ends with the girl being with him.
I think it helps to watch the video. At the end it seems like she's there with them. She's running with a basket. It's definitely an emotional song and story. 💖🦋
