Ram 3500 Cummins on 37s and a Carli Factory Air Assist Pintop System | Dream Cummins Ram!

- We set up this 2020 Ram 3500 with factory air assist to do it all! This truck got a Carli 3500 air assist pintop system that provided 3.25" of lift and dramatically improved ride while maintaining full payload and towing specs. We also installed 37" Toyo RT tires on AEV Salta wheels with our CJC intercooler guard and our Baja Designs fog light kit!

I have pretty much same build on my ram 3500 srw with air assist and the ride quality is awesome. This is my second Carli kit and I won’t ever do anything else again.

We'd vote to do a mix. Run the AEV body styling parts, with Carli Suspension to get better ride and more capability.

Is there a way to make a Ram 3500 ride that smooth while keeping factory height and wheels/ tires? I suppose if I had my wish, I would love to just replace the 3500 rear leaves with the fully progressive Deaver springs and add the King shocks, but wouldn’t want to raise the front of the truck at all or require bigger wheels and tires. Any way to do that?
Sadly you have to do some height increase to allow for more suspension up travel. You're welcome to keep the factory wheels, but we also recommend doing tires too since the factory tires are a huge part of the poor ride.

Y’all need to see if y’all can work with ram doing these builds and sending them across the country as packages to sell on lots there is a company that works with Chevy/gmc and does this they have a black widow logo I dunno the name because well Chevy/gmc sux
We do that all the time with dealers! Peterson in Idaho has Carli equipped trucks on the lot! We free ship these systems within the lower 48, and have installers all over the country too.

Hey CJC, I’ve noticed that a lot of these customer rides have very clean under bodies. Do you guys clean the undercarriage when doing builds?
Nope, just new California trucks!
Being in California and never driving on anything but pavements is a huge plus for keeping a truck clean.

Are we looking at the same truck? This one not only sits rear high, but maintains the factory airbags which level the truck under load.
What powered step is on the truck? Makes the truck look super clean, but that step up much easier. Nice Rig.

18' Ram 3500 SRW Long bed with factory rear Air level.. added your Thuren 1.75" coils up frt. & Fox reservoirs on all four... Looking for similar tire/wheel combo That does not stick out of the wheel wells. 35" not 37" because I do not want to re gear.. What do you guy's recommend 17" 18" ? Offset?

How much payload do you lose with the full leaf packs and no air bags?
This system retains complete factory payload and towing on the factory air assist trucks.
How much difference really in this one, besides the factory air and it's 3.25 Carli instead of 2.5 Carli, with the "Ultimate" White one done maybe year earlier?
Cole, have you found a permanent fix for the 5th gen body mount clunk? The "new" TSB updated bushings from Ram are just as bad. I insulated both ends of the mount with hard rubber spacers, however it only got slightly better. Great truck as always and I'm loving the intercooler cover on my Ram. Looks amazing.
ive got this also. granted i have a 6.4. but mine is a 2021 and still has a front most body mount clunk.
All you folks that have a clunk that you suspect might be coming from the body mount. Check the clearances between the body (cab) and the front bumper. Don't forget that the bumper is ridged mounted to the frame and will move independently from the cab. As you go over bumps and especially making sharp turns abruptly, the body will really lean and move on it's mounts and if you don't have enough clearance between that bumper and the cab, they will smack into each other making a loud thump. My 2015 did this hardcore and it really took some time to find the cause. Some slight adjustments of the bumper cured it.

I have a 2020 ram 2500 with the gas engine. Have a thuren leveling kit with thuren track bar. Running 295/60/20 nitto ridge grapplers. Wondering about what air pressure I should be running. Currently running 50 front and 47 rear. But getting a small vibration at 40 mph and again at 60 to 65 mph. Have had them balanced twice.
Have a 2013 3500 SRW G56 Manual Transmission work truck with rear leaf springs and some upgrades (Carli adjustable track bar, Fox shocks, 4" lift, 37" tires on stock rims) and would like a better suspension for offroading yet keep as much towing capacity as possible, what would you guys recommend? I'm in the desert not far from you. Would an air ride upgrade be worth it
Welp I started my 2500 build with a Thuren Overland kit and then tires continued to climb in price to an even higher level of ridiculous. My truck will be skipping leg day for a spell…
I love the set up but my truck is a 2021 ram dually. I would like to convert it to single rear wheels and have front flares on the front.

I have the same truck and same Carli kit. I love everything about it. Such a vast improvement in ride quality. I’m running the AT3’s from toyo on mine with bronze methods. The only thing I didn’t do was the front intercooler guard.
@Todd Allen Cone $10,175 for the fully optioned kit (sway bar, shocks, springs, drop brackets, trailing arms, front diff guard, rear air bag shims. add in freight, alignment wheels tires speedo recalibrate, and some other small stuff it was $14,6xx after tax. Not cheap! But quality usually isn't. But if you live close to Idaho get ahold of Derik at Petersen ram jeep in Nampa Idaho. They install and stock a ton of inventory of Carli components.
Hey bud, are you rigged up? I just ordered a 3500 Cummins, and want to do this setup. How are you liking it so far? Did you get the long travel airbags? I ordered mine with the auto-leveling rear air suspension, and want to know. Also, how has your payload been effected?

I can't decide between a 2500/3500. The off road package isn't offered in the 3500 but a HO Cummins with a CJC/Carli suspension system and a factory limited slip seems like a better deal than a factory "off road" package that is essentially just some Bilstein shocks and hill descent control. Both seem equally capable but with the 3500 you get more towing ability and same suspension ability once an aftermarket system is installed.
Our vote is for the 3500! If you plan to tow/haul, that's the way to go. Avoid either of the factory air options if you like to go off road.
How close are the silver AEV wheels to chrome? I haven’t saw any up close . Before I ordered them .

Bigger wheels n tires, plans on towing/mild offroading, chose not to upgrade brakes. Says alot.
These trucks are made to tow 30,000 pounds, so the brakes are more than adequate. Should you want to upgrade them there’s plenty of options out there. This customer wanted 17” wheels which means larger brakes are off the table. Everyone has different priorities!
This guy obviously isn’t a HD truck guy !! They probably told him to upgrade the brakes on his Prius to haul a bicycle!! He thinks he’s being cool !!!

So did this truck come with the factory Air Ride and you guys replaced with a Carli Air Ride system?
This truck comes with factory air assist, which is airbags and leaf springs. The factory airbags and air management system were retained with the Carli system, but we replaced the rear leaf springs, shocks, and the front suspension to improve ride and increase travel.

Oh this is a really cool build to see right now!!! I have the same exact truck in a 2021 that's on it's way to me now from factory. Ordered it at the end of May and supposed to arrive in the next couple weeks 🤞. I'd like to do this same setup in phases but different wheels. What's the recommended order.
You could of order a 2022 a week ago!
I'm okay with that. I literally just took delivery yesterday afternoon. It's a do it all truck for me and I needed the capacity ASAP. The changes for 2022 are really minor and not worth the additional cost they'll be asking for this upcoming model year due to inflation as well. One advantage in purchasing late in the model year is that all of the revised tuning is complete and you also have a lower mileage truck for the model year down the road for any resale or trade-in purposes. Amazingly enough I ordered this one just in time to miss the long factory build times that are occurring now. I literally took delivery exactly 2 months to the day after my order was placed. I was also able to take advantage of the current used truck market and sold my 2019 1500 Limited for a few thousand more than I purchased it for. That's pretty crazy when you consider some used vehicles are appreciating right now and not depreciating. Thanks to the pandemic for that one. I know it can be cool to have the latest year but I couldn't be happier.
I ordered my 2022 3500 2-1/2 weeks ago, they said 12ish week build time. Already have a long list of small upgrades to do in addition to deciding whether to level on 35’s or go to the 3-1/2” back country on 37’s. I just want to ensure I’m happy with how it tows, but coming from. 1995 F350 7.3, I don’t think I’ll be disappointed whichever choice I make.
@@Erik_Dye I'm considering 35's too. It's my daily work truck, towing and hauling plus weekend towing of our travel trailer. I just don't want to go too big or get too high. My 2021 is really level stock. Just installed the Decked bed drawers and a Leitner ACS Forged rack. I have plans to build out a rack for over the cab next. One thing that's been showing up on at least a few new factory builds including mine is that the rear end axle and dif exterior coating is really poorly done and flaking off. Keep an eye out for that.👍

I've done MONTHS and months of research as to what is the absolute best suspension upgrade for my 2021 PowerWagon. Someone has to be at the top of the heap. CJC and Carli are at the top by a fair margin. I ordered their Pintop system with Carli radius arms, lifetime ball joints, AEV rims, Baha Designs CP6 lights for the front bar I'm adding, the works. Now just waiting for King to get the custom built shocks to CJC Offroad so they can ship to me. These guys sent me the rims I ordered with no shipping charge and I got them 2 days later. CJC Offroad is the real deal folks.
