    Sharp truck...
    I recommend Thuren! I was back and forth between Thuren and Carli and went Thuren! So glad I did!
    I really don’t like the drop arm look of the Carli. I put the Thuren with King 2.5s on my truck and it is a game changer! I’m running 35s with my Thuren, but 37s clear they say!
    Put the active rate sway bar on too! My wife didn’t like the way our 3500 rode, she finds it MUCH better and livable now!

    Ok, I'm pretty sure you never mentioned the wheel width. 17"x? with a 0 offset. Just want to make sure I but the right width wheel.

    • @CJCOffRoad
      @CJCOffRoad  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      17x8.5 with 0 offset! However To fit 37s on a Ram you need a 8.5-9” wide wheel with +18 to +25 offset. This truck took heavy trimming as a result of the aggressive wheel spec used.

    • @CJCOffRoad
      @CJCOffRoad  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +25 will absolutely work on a 20x9 wheel to fit 37s, but you’ll still need a little trimming.

    • @CJCOffRoad
      @CJCOffRoad  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely not! There is no way to clear a 37 on these trucks with that kind of wheel spec and still maintain any kind of ability to turn or use the truck. To fit 37s on a Ram truck we recommend a +18 to +27 offset wheel that is no wider than 9.5.”

      Trimming would be VERY minor with 35s. With 37s you’ll be taking some of the pinch weld since those wheels stick out farther than the recommended +18 to +25

    • @CJCOffRoad

      Sadly no system will clear that tire on that aggressive of a wheel unless you’re looking at 8+ inches of lift. You need a wheel that is 8.5-9” wide with +18 to +25 offset.

      This set up reduces payload to 85% of factory capacity, but if you’re looking to tow at full capacity, we recommend running a set of Timbren bump stops. Just bolt those in place of the factory bump stop when you tow, and take them out when you don’t to enjoy the improved ride quality!

    How do these lift/suspension systems affect safety and roll potential? I’ve heard you mention in a couple videos things like “Allows you to take those turns a little faster” or something along those lines so seems like these systems actually make your vehicle safer? However that seems counterintuitive and was wondering if y’all might have some actual data or statistics to demonstrate that idea. Just wondering if y’all could provide some kind of explanation of *how* it makes them safer or showing some kind of data to suggest that the potential for a truck to roll is less with one of the systems installed. What would be really cool if y’all made an entire video explaining the safety benefits (if indeed that is true) of a truck with one of these systems installed compared to stock.

    • @CJCOffRoad
      @CJCOffRoad  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s actually a really good question since most lift kits don’t do much to help handling. I can explain it, but I think this video we made does a much better job showing the improvements! th-cam.com/video/PwrD2F1J240/w-d-xo.html
      I think the important thing to remember is that these aren’t lift kits. These are suspension systems designed to improve the ride and handling of the truck, and the small ride height increase of that is a byproduct of making the ride better and more controlled.

    • @rhelms11
      @rhelms11 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      CJC Off Road thanks for the reply! You guys are great about getting back to people and it doesn’t go unnoticed so I really appreciate that! In order to sell my wife on this I’ve got to find something a little more than opinion. I completely realize that y’all’s experience weighs in more than just “opinion” but to my wife it’s all just opinion. I’m finding it difficult to come up with some more definitive proof. And there’s no denying that your videos show that the suspension systems are great. We will likely never be taking our vehicle on offroad terrain, so the main thing we are considering is how this affects the vehicles potential to flip.

      Those are RT tires. As for trimming, there’s really no downside, it’s just the thought of cutting the pinch weld on a brand new truck. It all hidden within the wheel well too so you’ll only see a well done trim job with a trained eye.
