The 5 or 6 times I've been able to go to Terry Black's - only once did I really have any kind of wait and it was really only maybe 25 minutes in line. Plus, if you go basically right when they open/start serving - it's instant and the meats are probably the best of the day (to me anyway). And while the brisket is incredible, the beef rib is the best on the menu imo. Since it's basically just brisket on the bone. It's literally to die for.

Franklin's has the best flavor - but I agree with you Terry Black's is the best overall experience. If you show up at 10:30am, there's less than a 5 minute wait. Interstellar has the best sides, but a minimum of a 1 hour wait - also you can skip the brisket at Interstellar.
You should come up to DFW sometime, we have a ton of Texas Monthly Top 50 best barbecue restaurants in Texas. My personal favorite is Dayne's Craft Barbecue, but we have the number joint up here called Goldees, there's also Panther City, Heim (magnolia location) all of these are Fort Worth, Dallas has Cattleack as well as Hutchins. There's a lot of others in between, but this is a list of the most popular and well reviewed joints. There's also Brix in Fort Worth as well, they have a lot of praise.

Perfect brisket and the peppered pork ribs are mouth watering. Please make sure to stop by there next time you’re in town. You should try Salt Lick BBQ which is a little ways out of town.

Gawd I’m on a diet Jay you’re not helping man 🤣 food all looks amazing to me dude I’d smash the lot ! we don’t really have anywhere where they do this in the Uk as such ..we do tend to BBQ in our gardens in the summer and lasts sometimes 4 days before it rains again and gets cold lol 👍

Personally I like Micklethwait Craft Meats BBQ. No crazy line and just as good, some say even better than Franklin’s. Either way you can’t go wrong with bbq in Austin.
