    Before anyone comments below saying how to remove driver seat from car has already been done and that i have already made a video about how to fix loose car seat and that i used old footage! yes you are correct, i did use old footage and i did do this job in a previous video but the reason I am using this again is because the previous video had too much happening in it to get any views or for the algorithm to know where to put it so i done it all again so that it is its own standalone video and will make it easier for people to find out why their driver seat rocks back and forth, so please understand that i done it for the views so relax lol anyway,,,,,,,,,,, so
    This is how to fix loose car seat, i had a problem with the driver seat in my honda crv 2nd gen, the driver seat rocks back and forth, i knew it was just loose bolts so i removed the seat from the car and took it apart to find out what was happening.
    i also added a little more to the end of the video so stick around for that. hope you all enjoy.
    if you'd like to check out the older video i used the footage from here is a link:

      Thanks for your comment, please be careful with the airbag, best to disconnect your battery 20 minutes before you remove the seats, to save from your airbag going off and just to be extra safe. Good luck with the job.

      Annoyingly, this didn't sort my issue. None of the bolts were loose really, but I tightened them a bit extra anyway, but the whole seat still rocks. I expect it is some internal bushes or something that has worn out. Ah well... At least I tried!

    • @GPTV2020
      @GPTV2020  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah that's a shame, try to figure out where it is rocking from, like pinpoint the spot, then you will know where to look to tighten when you remove the seat. If its really bad it could be the brackets are broken or fractured. Hopefully you find it.

      Wow, i didn't know that, I'd say 70 to 80 % of our CR-Vs are 5 speed manual, actually most of our car's in general are manual but also we have a lot of diesel cars because of a tax law. We have the 2.2 ctdi RD CR-V also, but we don't have the k24!

    if you're very careful with it, you can use a hot air gun and remove the not so deep scratches with it but I say careful 'cause, if you do it too long, you'll make it shiny! or worse.. Burned.. There are some videos about this, have a look if you like..

    Hey- not related to this video but just wondering have you experienced car vibrating/shuddering when engaging reverse gear and first gear, happening in my 2013 Honda Accord and people have been pointing me towards Clutch / Flywheel or the lower engine mounts ? Just wondering have you experienced any of that with you own accord. Thanks.

    • @GPTV2020
      @GPTV2020  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No not this accord but i did have that issue with an old 1996 honda accord, i changed engine mounts and all that but i never found it and sold the car, but i have looked in to it since and it seems to be a engine or sensor issue, if your injectors are not firing correctly or your spark plugs or leads need to be changed try them first but a lot of people in the search had sensor issues but no engine warning lights came on, so if the exhaust o2 sensor reads the flow of gases and its out of spec it will tell the computer to add or reduce fueling so under light acceleration it happens mostly, look it up and see if you find anything in that area, and sure let us know if you do. Hope that helps.

      Why has it not been sold yet, there could be more work on it then you think, bring a mechanic with you pay him to take a look around it, and like i said price the motor for the seat. It could be more expensive to fix then just the seat, there could have been a crash or something.

    • @BOREDANDWELLBORED
      @BOREDANDWELLBORED 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @GPTV2020 I'm building a camper van and want the front seat to act as a chair to see the TV on the back. Not swivel it because I have storage on the center console that prevents that. But I just thought last night it's prob better to slide the front seat deeper into the front. I need to do either one, retract the seat all the way down until headrest touch the floor OR push the seat all the way to the front further to make more room on the back

    • @GPTV2020
      @GPTV2020  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@BOREDANDWELLBORED wow sounds like a lot of work but it's a good plan. If you do make it recline to the floor i will probably need some support under the reclined part, so that when you sit on it all the load is not pulling on the rollers on the rail. It could also bend the rail, restricting the seat from sliding.
