Reapers wagers is actually quite strong. On demand full hit rerolls with sustained/lethal completely changes Drukharis admittedly mid datasheets. Hellions, a completely unusable datasheet prior now bodies tanks and marines alike. Turning off overwatch is crazy for elves.
I'm undefeated with reaper's wager, its got tricks. Sisters, meanwhile, is hot garbage. Needing to trade your army rule for a so-so detachment rule, with strats that only work if you do them. At least the army of faith strats are better for not really having a detachment rule
Sister's one can't be higher than 'Contextually not great' in the current MD economy. The detachment has no MD generation, and with the current crippled MD generation, you're either playing without an army rule or without a detachment rule. I feel bad for the person who wrote the detachment, as obviously they did so without being aware of the MD changes, and I like the theme. But currently it just doesn't work (which is why the Meta Monday shows it at 27% WR). All it needs really I think to work in the new MD economy is to say all sacresants are righteous all the time, for free. But even then, it's really only Mid. It's just a slightly worse version of Army of Faith, which was already pretty mid.
It's also not fun to play. I ran one game and I couldn't stand it. The first time ever I quit a game because I was having no fun whatsoever. I hated every moment.
Yeah, I agree. I'm a sisters player and haven't played them since the MD changes. Too scared to haha. But Hallowed Martyrs is gonna be the go to for sure. I play Orks too, and since Waghh got changed, and our Grotmas detachment came out, it's been nothing but the green skins for me.
Crazy miracle dice manipulation is prices in to the current model costs for sure. We don't have the raw power to make stuff happen any longer. Big point drops needed imo
I think there is some thing telling that a lot of the worst ranked detachments are related to armies that were balanced on a detachment (either buffing the detachment or driving up points because of the detachment)
Think the tau should be alittle higher, easily their best detachment, and it has multiple builds because in virtually makes every unit in the codex viable
Starshatter has tons of scoring units. what kind of starshatter lists are you reviewing? played vs 4 ctans flayed ones 2 DDA and command barge and small destroyer units for mission play.
I think the Votann detachment is not a bad one. At face value it's quite awesome, bit the problem comes from the faction itself rather than the detachment. I expect this detachment to be quite good when the codex releases
If the Aeldari detachment more focused on all vehicles and not just hyper focus on the “FLY” keyword it would have been much better since war walkers and support weapons have VEHICLE
I agree on pretty much everything on this list EXCEPT one that I dissagree 100% on....... Slannesh should be at least bottom of Top Tier or neck and neck with Necrons. like you guys are saying there durability is lacking but then we can look at Guard and GSC who has even less durability. I would say AT LEAST Slannesh Should be bottom of Top tier or sideby side with Necrons
Thousand Sons would have been cooler (not better, just have a reason for existing) if it had "Prosperine Kopeshes and Tzaangor Blades count as *Psychic Weapons* ". Then it does a thing. Not a good thing, but a thing that the index doesn't do. Almost have power fists on Scarabs! Have a viable OC2 unit with a Shaman! Buck the trend that we don't do melee (bcoz we kinda do)! Even just put "[Scarab Occult Terminators] and [Tzaangor] have psychic attacks in this detachment", full stop, would make it go from "bleh" to "that could be pretty sick!", except it still wouldn't be that good. But geez you'd try it out. Super chonky shooty/fighty brick termies, with character tax for nearly plasma gun upgrade, or pretty useful/ pretty mobile birdies. Or a bit of both. And a deepstrike Rubric unit just for funsies. Or any other combination of the above, with a few other psychic attacks/ Mutaliths/ DPs/ etc. It almost feels like they edited that sentence out, or forgot to add it in. And it's still not great, but it is pretty cool. And they're the units we don't use, and strangely enough, come in our combat patrol. So everyone wins! (Except this detachment, it's still not that good, and taking Magnus after taking some termies and/or birdies is going to be hard. But it's certainly different from the index in what it's leaning into).
Thanks for your opinions and perspectives! Does it also feel to you like they're are army rule changes for a few factions on the way that make some of these detachments make sense? Some feel they were written for another army than what exists 😂😅
I disagree with the sisters placement, the detachment as written currently doesn't function with how badly miracle dice got nerfed. even if we ignore bringers of flame, the new detachment is still just a worse version of army of faith
I prolly paid 60-90$ for my DW army, All scans, so no way to tell the difference between them and official models. Argggggghhhh it pays to be sailing the high seas maitee.
Kinda sad that Dark Angels had a chance to finally get a decent detachment after their book ones were so disappointing, and what we got was the Lion's Blade, which is just not very good. I want Dark Angels to be good without the crutch of the Gladius, dammit!
For Space Wolves. Ragnar hits hard with a Lieutenant. The dreadnaughts hit hard. That being said the detachment is still trash. The intervention rarely comes into play.

Personally I feel like the Black Templar detachment should've been the Chaplain counterpart to the Librarius detachment for space marines.

Yeah. People are so focused on the Harlequin aspect (you don't necessarily need to run them anyway) but it is great overall.

Wonderful just in time for my work day.
Thanks Jack and Nick

Beside Storsurges...
@@FeeDBacKMKII well yeah, stormsurges aren't allowed to be good
I think you're wrong about Vessels of Wrath. They're played some what differently to Index.
@@stresszilla i agree with you, VoW is definitely more 8bound based and it allows for better playstyle with DP too, for example

Use Miracle Dice for an advance? You have miracle dice?

50:05 How good would a team of the Nurgle detachment and the Night Lord CSM detachment be you think?
Deathwatch, 5 sternguard + judiciar with thief of secrets, it’s completely obscene into the oath target in melee
You know you can actually shove a Judiciar into deathwatch veteran squads right?
@@mk-ultraviolence1760 Sternguard gives reroll on wounds so the Judiciar can fish for devastating wounds.
If the Aeldari detachment more focused on all vehicles and not just hyper focus on the “FLY” keyword it would have been much better since war walkers and support weapons have VEHICLE
I would’ve added “mounted”. Add that to each and every instance of “vehicle” in the detachment and it becomes useable

(laughs in custodes killing heavy bolters)
Ophydians, flayed ones, deathmarks, skorpekhs, and tomb blades score. its why i think TSK isnt needed for the list save 270 points thats 9 skorpekhs

yeah hard disagree on most of these AOW as usual focusing on limiting builds
CK still not worth taking big knights
Vessels of wrath is broken with 3 princes and 120 5+fnp jackels
Go head and put spacewolves at the bottom matter fact make a new section what the actual **** and stick it there

What? You don't like a Space Wolf Terminators detachment whose best stratagem doesn't work with Space Wolf Terminators?! Why not!
The Votann one is so much worse
