I had bought a Ulanza unit for my android last year. Problem was that I had to turn down the volume 10 db by going into the pro video side and that was the limit I could adjust it and it was still too high. Didn't work too bad though. Now I want something for my new Canon R8. This would work for both I think. I would like to know how they sound on music. That would be the real test.
If you’re not right up on the music source and turned down, you should be good. These and many of this type made around this time don’t have 32 bit float which going to be rushing the market after rode introduced it with the new Wireless Pro.
Very good video, since I can't find a voice recorder the size of a Fulaim X5 microphone, my idea is to use 1 microphone as a voice recorder, can the receiver be used to set the microphone gain and not use it again? I mean, take out microphone 1, use the receiver to have a gain of 2/5 and put the receiver back in the box. Thank you very much in advance.
Nice video. What happens if you record stereo with the two mics but safety channel enabled? Normally the x 5 should split one mic to the right and one to the left channel. What happens to the safety channel? Regards
Good question. You made me go confirm. When in safety channel mode, the receiver still gets one channel -6 db and when you internally record within each device, you also get a left and right channel for each device with one also -6 db. I hope that’s clear. Just ask if I need to do better. Have a good day.
They reached out to me and some sellers that really aren’t associated will sometimes do the same. Obviously being monetized helps but sometimes not necessary. You can try googling them and find their marketing link and ask. Can’t hurt.
Hey buddy, question. When outdoor vlogging with the action 4 and the x5 what settings should i use? Mono or stereo? What gain should i set the action 4 too? Do i need to use backup audio setting? Anything else you can think of please let me know. Thank you so much
Sorry for the delay. Been so busy. I use stereo and turn the gain all the way up usually. But sometimes I’ll have the gain up and record to the safety channel.
Impressive and thank you, did not know hte DJI wireless had a cancel feature but when using the Fulaim with a 3.5mm d you get Rf noise like DJI? just asking?
Actually now that you ask, I went back to double check and there is no noise with the Fulaim but I might have been one of the lucky ones thatv didnt't get it from the DJI set either.
Great review! - Some questions, can the X5 act like a USB-C audio interface plugged into a laptop (i.e. not just for downloading wav files)? - also looking online, the X5 transmitter is WAY smaller? - 47x26x13mm 18g on the X5 vs the DJI 47x30x20 30g - is that right?? So not only do they have better battery but they are 1.8x smaller and 1.7x lighter than the DJI option at less than half the price?? - That's incredible!!! - why is nobody highlighting this massive difference?
Ok home. I was able to easily plug in the receiver and use both mics at the same time wirelessly. As for the weight, the 21 g fulaim against the 34 g DJI mic isn’t that important to me because because 34 g is still light for me and I forget it’s attached to my shirt at times. I shall make mention of that for those interested as you in future mic reviews though. Thanks.
I would say the X5 squeaks by for the magnet game, sturdy build, slightly better signal strength, and internal safety channel track recording. Not to mention the x5 is a bit cheaper on Amazon at the moment. Have a nice weekend.
just got mine has birthday gift from my kids, thanks, your video review help me to know more about this tine mics!
Very glad to help. Good kids you got there!
Nice review. I have not seen these wireless microphones before, they had a good sound.
Pretty surprising. I get asked about them a lot and they are becoming quite popular.
@@SeanHelmsMedia which would you say is the best between dji, rode go II, comica & fulaim? I am looking to buy a wireless mic for my gopro.
My go-to mic is the DJI wireless mic set. But if I have a couple of rigs going then the Fulaim is great.
That noise canceling works really good under the fan
Yes sir. Neat piece of gear. It's my backup set and does very well.

Yes you can. It’s really the only way but it works.

How to reach out to them, to review this mic?

I’m doing a Reno project at my daughters house so I’ll check and answer this evening.

@@SeanHelmsMedia Brilliant, I appreciate the follow up :)
Wow neighbor you really make some awesome videos
Thank you so much. Just trying to get better with every video.
If you had to choose 1: would you choose the Vimo C or the X5?…. Thanks

@@SeanHelmsMedia - superb! Thanks for the advice. X5 it is 👍👍
Great video - cheers!
Glad to help friend.
Also, is this 6 hours of battery or 8? - other reviews mention 8. Have you done a battery test to see the actual battery life?
Yes and I have no less than 8 hours of usage both idle and recording.
