I did this in the middle of a trailer park I lived in at 2 in the morning,all of a sudden I heard knocking on multiple spots of outside walls, it was all my fans NOPE!! Pissed everybody off! Did I mention it was a Tuesday 😖😏

That was during the Black Album tour '92. It was on the A Year and Half in the Life of Metallica
As a player I've always found it amusing when random people would ask me to play something or a specific song.
When I would play the notes perfectly they'd make a face and say "that doesn't sound anything like the song"
If I would improvise by playing the notes wrong and sloppy to create a larger sound they'd say "that's awesome man, you're really good"
Most average people don't understand music and how things work, like studio production/mixing etc..
They only hear the end product and don't really pay attention to or hear the individual sounds/instruments etc..
So if you only play one part they get confused, but if you play something sloppy that resembles some of the parts mashed together, they will recognize the overall sound of the song.. if that makes any sense.
Same thing happens to me lol. If someone tells me to play a song and I play it, they just stare at me like wtf, but if I sit there and noodle people are like "wow, you can really play!"
1 it's 3am prob not sober or playing his best. Pick his worst example of course you will
2 Metallica was a underground band when kirk joined there wasn't a line of famous or great players trying to join they picked out of their peer group of local unknown garage band metal punks.
3 the hate and is really dooshy and for doosh bags. Half of metal fans now a days would be jazz nerds back then getting beat up by metal heads.

Kirk wahmet has gotta be by far thee worst guitar player of all time who has zero technique and real skill at guitar 😊😊playing it's clear that he's only known as a player for getting that gig from Metallica😆as a player of 20+ years I can honestly say he has no vibrato skills on the guitar at all proving that the noise coming out of his amp is akin to a complete guitar noob🤣it makes me feel great about how well of a player I was in the very beginning 😅him and Steven segal are on the same level as far as overall competent playing abilities😂they should link up and do a CD together😂it would sound like a scratching trainwreck💯🔥💩🤣they screwed up by dumping mustain for him bigtime😅yea,I'm a Megadeth fan over💩Metallica garbage any day🤣burton was the only reason they did "some"good stuff until they went full industry muppets😂
Completely inaccurate comment. Yeah, his vibrato isn't very good but overall, he laid down some of the best solos in metal.
