love your channel. helped me setup a batocera dedicated computer. love playing these old games that i thought where lost forever. have you ever tried to setup a guitar for guitar hero. my son did competition guitar hero when he was 7,8 and 9 years old. would love to be able to play them again.
im having an issue with ps2 and gamecube running choppy and stuttering especially in cut scenes on multiple different computers, including my new 3060 acer predator laptop
Please tell me which PC specs are needed to Play ps2 in batocera with a normal speed. My PS2 is fault (laser) and wanted to play the old games again. My PC for testing brings only 10-15fps 😁
might be your computer hardware limitations. im using an older lenovo laptop an most games newer than ps1 and gamecube have trouble running smooth. hope you can figure it out.
@@tonystrike6467 this is absolutely not true you do not need a 1060 to emulate ps2 games nobody listen to this guy. Intel integrated graphics are perfectly adequate for ps2 games.
@@turnster3071 You can use intergrated graphics but you won't get the same performance as a dedicated GPU. I've tried the intergrated graphics and didn't get the same performance as a dedicated GPU. Intergrated graphics uses system memory which can effect the performance. If you've got 4gig of memory, your intergrated graphics will need to use some of that memory. So if you gave your graphics 3gig of memory, your just left with 1gig of memory to run the game. Where as a dedicated GPU with 3gigs doesnt need to use any system memory leaving you with your 4gig of memory.
Hi again. Just and update for you On my system, I5-3570 3.34Ghz, Nvidia 1060 3gig and 8 gig ram, I can run PS3 games with some tweaking at a good speed. Hope this helps.
I don't get it, when I press F1, go to applications, and change a few stuff, once I go back to Batocera, m'y setting are reset 😭 I could change that stuff on a Windows but here I cannot change anything with the Application (I know I can use long press A on my game but the options I am willing to change don't appear there) Thanks in advance if anyone has an explanation ! 🙏

What version of batocera are you using ? My menu when editing the game’s settings looks different than yours . No matter what rendering resolution I set the game always runs at native ps2 resolution , which looks terrible on a 65 inch 4K tv. Any ideas ?
I don't unfortunately. I did two builds on v35 one they worked one they didn't. I did the same bios file drop on both. Mind blowing why I had different results. Ended up going back to my previous version for that reason.

Mario kart 64 lags a lot when the camera it's on an open space (like in the seaside race) Crazy taxy 1, on dreamcast, have a bad "cracking" audio Sonic the hedgehog 2, on mega drive, goes a bit slow when it lost tons of coins when damaged Metal slug 2, on mame, sometimes goes slow when the scene it's crowdy ore a lot of explosions occurs It makes me sick... A newer harware having problems with old games. Maybe i'm a noob, but it's so strange!!
Hey there not normal at all. Mario kart 64 and most n64 may have slight issues as that's a hard collection of games to emulate for a raspberry pi but it shouldn't be anything major. Mega drive shouldn't be an issue at all and crazy taxi is very smooth for me. Could be a settings issue or maybe your card is having an issue. Really hard to pinpoint the exact issue. Also not familiar with that version of batocera on the pi 4. I typically use retropie on raspberry pi and batocera on larger pcs.
@@RetroGamingGuy So i can try to put on another microsd retropie... The one i'm using now it's working at 100%, i've tesded it with different tools. Just to be sure... Retropie it's lighter than batocera?
batocera is a crap every new version something is broken , now with 35 xbox xbox 360 ps2 wil not work anymore ( they wont even open in the applications folder ) ....turns out emulators dont support anymore the cpu ( no avx on phenom x6) . if i have to buy a new cpu mobo and ram .it makes no sense anymore...............the point was to reuse the old stuff you had getting dust !
360 I never bothered with because of it not being real stable yet but I'm not having issues with Xbox or ps2. I had a issue a couple months ago with ps2 but it was resolved soon after by doing a manual update not the automatic one from within my image.
well on my phenom the shitty version of pcsx2 in batocera 35 wont even run in apps , the version wich is in batocera plus starts runs great , and the hardware is the same phenom x6 rx 570 8 gb , 8 gb ram. so the prob is the emulator in batocera. wish there was a way to manually change the pcx2 version so i would put the version in batocera plus

Hi. Ideally you'll need an i5 cpu 3.34GHz and Nvidia 1060 or above. Or a good AMD GPU.
I have the above specs and ps2, wii, gamecube, all run great.

I cant find a video on how to start a game..mine is asking for memory card or cd..no videos to help with that
Any time mine says you need memory card to play it lets you hit x to confirm or play without saving. Never had it prevent me from accessing the game
Is batocera 34 using pcsx2 1.6? 1.6 runs the best on my PC.
