Making New Wipers for a Lathe or Mill

Quick 'How-To' on making new felt wipers for my Monarch lathe. The same process can be followed to make new wipers for a mill, shaper, or any machine tool that relies on oil-holding felt wipers to protect the precision machined or scraped surfaces.
The material used is F5 felt, 1/8" thick.

She not big - ive run big ya had to ride the carriage and it took all day to make a cut - 3/4" chips like blue fire . Now she is big- came from Philadelphia Navy yard. Mind ya it was 1978 too.
