Apparently I’m a dumbass and I couldn’t understand why I was having such a hard time installing this. I was putting the bottom of the brace UNDER the crash bar and you have it above. Makes so much sense now. I hate myself at how often I do stuff like that and make a install much more harder. Haha.
Great view of your Cobb Redline Carbon Intake Box 👍 with the headlight removed. It is a premium aftermarket part for sure. That brace actually looks like a secondary crash bar or roll cage for your radiator. I honestly wish you the best of luck keeping it somewhat clean. That is not meant to be sarcastic or derogatory or mean. Its just that you keep every aspect of your Subie immaculately super clean.

It was super simple. Granted I had the bumper already off, but it really is a quick 20-30 min job taking your time. Looking forward to the other stuff coming in to tie it all together.

a friend of mine has the full brace on his 18’ in the matching yellow, very much so want the half but they say it doesn’t fit FMIC, very tempted to get to some cutting 🤣
Found couple companies that do those front braces, the one you got is very nice. Tried to contact lower class garage with the custom color, however i still haven’t get any reply. Hopefully they will get back to me. Congratz on the 10k subscribers!

It’s more cosmetic than anything. But it does tie two points together, so it does help with some rigidity of the front end. The front crash beam is still there so that will still take any of the front impact if in an accident.
You have great taste in upgrades without going over the top. The audio mix was a little off on this one...talking was too quiet and music was too loud. Keep up the awesome work!
So i just got new rims which they came in 18x9.0 + 30. What tire size would you recommend for this type of rim spec. Lmk please !! rumors are youre the fitment god 😉
More so an aesthetic. However, Anytime you tie to points if a car together, it will increase the rigidity to some extent, so I’m sure it helps a bit in the grand scheme of things. Although, nothing you can notice or feel.
I pick up my new 2017 subaru wrx sti tomorrow morning and am wondering what should I do to keep it's engine in the best running condition as possible? I read about needing an air oil separator to prevent oil and filings from getting into the intercooler or engine, is this true? Let me know because I plan on keeping the car a long time and won't interested in ever selling it.

I know this is an older video but did you have to remove the headlights to get access to anything?
Headlights do not need to be removed. Just the front bumper and crash beam.

is it possible to install a fmic with this? seems like there would be some clearance issues.
The full brace does not fit with a fmic. You can get the half brace which does fit.
Do you torque the crash bar bolts?
Torque spec is mostly for moving parts and mechanical devices. Crash beam doesn’t need to be torqued to a specific spec. Just tight.
Do you think there is enough clearance cause I have hella horns instead of the stock horn.

Hm, it should like up fairly well. Make sure you have it positioned correctly and nothing is interfering it.

Did you have to remove the headlights?
Headlights can stay on. Just the bumper and support brace needs to be removed to install.
