- This match was pretty wild for a few reasons. I'm playing around with a few new items (rescue hood clefable) and we also have a really wild final few minutes. You decide if this is lucky or unlucky. Yeehaw
Not sure Rescue Hood is the best choice yet for Clefable (saw some numbers showing that wise glasses might be better!) Either way let me know if this was lucky or unlucky!

So can we talk about trevanant a little , I just went 24 kills 10 assists with 102k damage and 58k healing , I actually had the enemy Zacian running away from me …. Um yeah incredible , running weakness policy , attack weight , and focus band plus 6 blue 6 purple and six brown , absolutely disgusting

I'd say profoundly unlucky as if that one play didn't happen, then the team wouldn't have needed to rely on luck just a few moments later
agree!!! its unlucky if you play great the entire match, your team has no idea how to fight at 2min and it turns into a 50/50 if not just an immediate loss
That was 1000% lucky. Between Cinderace, Dragopult, and Sylveon dying right before Ray spawns, you dying, and cinder not having an ult a good team would have just ripped Rayquaza right then and there. If they had focused Rayquaza there was no way in hell Cinderace would have came back in time to steal it with a BASIC ATTACK.
I think you experienced a roller coaster of Unite moments in less than a minute.
And 4th meal! Old school TacoBell hits different! And the Taco Bell dog with Godzilla commercial brings me way back.

Yeah I’ve been heavily thinking about running rescue hold on clef too, it looks like it does a pretty solid job at healing and whatnot
Your team dying seconds before the ray fight is the most infuriating thing then they spam thanks for jumping in with them
Honestly rescue good really does make a visible difference, I feel like I’m healing a bit more as clef now which is nice

Nothing worse than your team throws the game by dying right before Ray
I upvoted right away and then came to mind something that happened yesterday:
We were losing early game, everyone is underleveled and enemy is trapping us inside our base and stealing our farm. As soon as we push them back, did an enemy sweep and got back on experience my randoms surrender. Like WTH, we had just got back in the game. Its like when randoms surrender AFTER you got a quaza steal cuz they believed the enemy got it.
Rescue Hood has actually been kinda nice on Wiggly surprisingly after the ult cooldown buff. It's now a pretty significant shield, + buddy barrier it ends up being like 75% of my own personal health. I've saved people and flipped team fights so much by a pinch of HP.
I use it in place of exp share which I think is kind of a waste in solo queue because Jigglypuff has really good wild pokemon secure options and half the time I can't rely on my teammates to get last hits, or they'll just completely ignore exp leaving me to solo it anyway.
I would say that it was profoundly lucky. I don’t know if you would call your team diving the goal unlucky, just silly, but I think the cinder stealing the objective was definitely lucky.

I think the idea is he was unlucky to get paired with teammates who would dive a goal right before ray.
This was very unlucky because his teammates were not punished for that atrocious play. Now they'll think it's okay to do it again

The thing that I don't like about unite is how there are no transparency on move stats and how they work. Is my healing scale with my sp attack? How much do I heal with this specific move anyway? All they care about is making the move's description to tell a story.
I wouldn’t say unlucky bc you couldn’t really control what your teammates did but they got lucky enough to steal Ray at the end

I actually dropped BB for wise glasses and teched my emblems for the extra HP. It's been working amazing. Using Xspeed (full heal if a lot of CC) to make sure I get my moonlights online when it matters most. Clef with smart allies is easily the best healer imo
I would say lucky cause of the steal, throwing the game at the 2:10 mark, especially when you are winning is something that happens too often to be considered unlucky, kinda like losing on the lotery, you know the odds are stacked agaisnt you so losing is just a thing you gotta acept will happen.
I think clefable likes rescue hood because of the bonus defenses for the follow me
But if rescue hood gave cooldown reduction it would be a top tier item no doubt

You were lucky. I've seen so many games get thrown this exact way.
I think they made comfey too braindead. I liked the idea that leaving your carry to recharge in bushes was integral to achieving maximum flowers and thus healing. Now the passive flower gain is enough to make what is gained from bushes mostly irrelevant. So detaching and re attaching is still used to apply a shield, but its simpler and less interesting from a gameplay perspective.

the problem of rescue hood its like for example:
clefable sp atk ratio to heal is 70%, so if you use wise glass give you 39 + 7% sp atk, so ( (152(sp lvl 4) + 39) * 0.07) = 39 + 13.37 = 52, so 52 * 0.7 = 36.4 heal increase, if you multiple 152 * 0.7 + lvl + 45, will be only 15.1 of heal, and heal only to ally, imagine if you are lvl 15 with clefable, you will receive 51.3 of heal more, imagine if you stack, so have 120 atk bonus, 10% will be 59 heal increase. but in the same with full stack + lvl 15, wise glasses will increase 66 of heal, so in any case, increase sp atk will be better than win 10% of heal only to allies
comfey its good with that because the base healling its big, and the heal give shield and heal increase to ally, in this example I will only use lvl 12 full stack to explain the math.
hood: + 100 + 13 * flower | +69 (shield)
wise glass: +93 + 12 * flower | + 0 shield
so in this case which comfey not heal himself by sp atk, hood its better than use wise glass, but not that much, I think to be useful to others supports, should be 20% heal increase at least

It happens so often to me. The team gets overconfident and makes a terrible push close to 2 minutes. They get wiped then enemy team takes Ray. Profoundly unlucky to be doing so good your team ints.
This is exactly what happens in my games. The entire match some people on my team are only farming (not scoring/going to objectives), but in the last 15 secs before ray they go try score and spam thanks after they die
In my line of work (medicine), outcomes are just about the only things that matter… to get consistently good outcomes, you have to be consistently good at what you do… hoping to be lucky is a fool’s wish! With that being said, it seems that you were profoundly unlucky to be teamed with good players who weren’t CONSISTENTLY good. They broke down at the worst possible time and then wished for luck…
Can i suggest a road to master idea?
Road to masters:role rotator-you need to use all 5 roles rotating them ex you used attacker first you need to use all 4 other roles to use another attacker
Comfy with rescue hood, xp share, and leftovers is best imo.
@spragels new follower here and ive start playing unite again the game has changed so much from when i first started playing so many new char and items. i found your content about a month ago and honestly ive enjoyed yours way more than other content creators you explain things really well and have really good tech so here my question cause i dont see it any where and i think it could help out the masses of NEW players returning players and some players who might just not know but theres no video to explain what EACH mons roles are like how your actually supposed to play the mon i havent played all the mons but would be down to play others but i wouldnt want to hinder my team because i dont know how the mon should be played lemme know if this makes any kinda sense lol
Sooo unlucky with matchmaking this season, feels like both my team and the enemies are just playing a completely different game this season

Can you make a video about knock off sableye? I know you hate sableye, but it has the fourth highest winrate. Sableye is underrated.
This truly proves how anxiety inducing the first 8 mins of the matches are. You can be super ahead the entire time, but one bad move from youre team in the very last 2 mins can easily cost the entire game. Id say you got extremely lucky to have won that match considering the enemy team splitted up between ray and trev, giving time for cinder to come back. So basically lucky for you and trev to have gotten the win, while unlucky for future players who are put with the rest of the team if they have a tendancy to do what they did.

I'm very disappointed by rescue hood not boosting the heal you get.
I had a 2 foot plush of the taco bell dog. So yes I remember yo quiero taco bell.
My ranked start was so weird.
4 losses, 3 wins, 3 losses, 15 wins into masters. Suddenly i got teams where my mates didn't suicide without bomb, so i wouldn't die as espeon and could actually deal a lot of damage.

was the sylveon this game. i wanna clarify something. i normally never ever make that play. the only reason i did so this game was because with someone helping score bot, regi eleki pushing top and lastly sylveons escape tools (boosted auto pluss x speed)i had i felt id be able to pull out in time.(almost did too but got caught by a blaze kick stun) in hindsight tho i recognize it was definitely a misplay tho. i actually didnt see timesr atm(bit ADHD) so sometimes i get a bit too hyper focused on some stuff in a match not only that but i recognize the reward isnt worth the risk. anyways gg was still a really fun game tho

I have ti be honest thanks to the zacian event I finally tried out espion in actual games and I bought it's letting me win games I can steal Ray I can do massive damage and stay far away from the fight, like there's been games that I should have lost but thanks to espions kit it let me clutch the game and get a win I love this pokemon the first attacker I Finally feel good playing
I'd say unlucky in the sense that your team should have lost because of the huge mistake they made. Maybe they would have learned from it. But to be honest...probably they wouldnt have.

i feel like people take rayquaza (even if it's like 4 goals to or 2) just to make the opposing team feel even worse. then it backfires when the opposing team comes back because they sniped rayquaza at low health and then they win the entire thing...maybe a little too broken as a comeback mechanic? i wouldn't be able to say anything, i don't play this game as much as you or anyone else in higher ranks (currently expert 2 and hating it right now)
I had this happen when the enemy team has Decidueye, cinderace, garchomp and Greninja.
All 4 of them stormed bot lane at 2:20 and Blastoise just tanked everything and my team got obligated.
And what do you know 40% win rate on 3 of them, the last one is 50% win rate with 60 games.
I swear this matchmaking is so bad

I'm not sure abt buddy but I usually use sp atk specs exp share rescue hood I stack w all healers and run rescue hood an my 3rd item jus depends on team for me tho can't speak for everyone

That score right before Ray was horrifically foolish. This is unlucky imo because their mistake was unpunished. So they'll likely do something foolish in someone else's games in the future.
The team victory was lucky, and frankly, undeserved. You were unlucky, because your teammates let you down. Made for a good PSA video though!
Here's an idea! What about a road to masters series but with one move only. Randomized pokemon every match, but you can only use your basics and one move as much as you can. No Unite moves either to make it more challenging. It could be fun but also very tough

I would say if they got Ray & flipped the game because of it then that would’ve been the unluckiest thing ever.

Also can i get dome support on an idea? What if they put wumple in the game and do it like they did scyther, have it split evo and you pick which one mid match. Not with a move split but you pick as an evo to cascoon or silcoon and then it gives you 2 moves or 1 move they evo to dustox and beautifly respectfully, and dustox could be a defender or all rounder and beautifly could be a supporter or an allrounder

This is a good idea, but sadly pokemon as weak as the ones mentioned are very low in the priorities to add as they are not popular or strong in their base stats
Lucky, you should have lost that with you team being wiped, that Cinderace shot was so clutch it counters your team failing you. It's so weird that they would play those odds? Human error I guess, or maybe they were getting cocky?
I gotta say lucky only cause your Cinderace stole the Rayquaza, if that hadn't happen then very unlucky cause they threw at the end

Ultimately, I think it was lucky. I have had games before where my team is doing really well but then near the 2min mark a lot of them unite and/or are defeated from a bad push to score. we end up losing.

There was an extremely slim possibility of this happening, given Cinder didn't have his Unite to secure Ray. Also, losing isn't fun.
Would it make for good experience? Likely no. Wins like these aren't enjoyable enough.

I would say lucky, I don't think you need to be unlucky for teammates to make that play... they want so bad to make that play so often... but you need to be lucky for it to work out anyways.
