I've had the Ear(2) for about a month now, and it seems to be going well. I skipped the Ear(1) after hearing about the many, many issues and replacements, as well as the price hike. I was interested in the design, but I knew to stay away from them until at least another generation. When I got the Ear(2), I was a bit disappointed with the sound (as I'm used to my good old 7506s), but as soon as I updated it and changed it to the flat EQ, they instantly got much better. I think they sound fine, honestly, and I just love the transparent plastic. I would prefer is they supported iPhone Hi-Res Bluetooth, but that just might not be possible right now. Overall, pretty solid, especially in environments with some background noise, but nowhere near audiophile quality. At least they're marginally better than EarPods.
I bought the ear1 back in late 2021 and sold them 1.5 years later. I liked the design and the anc was good too. But the sound was worse than some free headphones you get with a phone sometimes. Luckily, the hype for them is still there and so someone was willing to pay 120€, 20€ more than what I paid for
The free headset that was included in the S10+ was awesome. Even Crinacle gave it minor props considering it's price point. Remember it was right around the time Samsung bought AKG

Unlike Sony, Samsung doesn't allow you to replace a missing bud. I'm not sure if it's changed but this is probably the only reason why I bought the older XM3
I got the Nothing ear (1)s at release, and am currently on my second replacement pair (third total). From audible BT radio interference, to non-functional touch controls/ANC, and problems charging correctly; the hardware quality/QA is seriously sub-par, luckily the CS experience has been great. Though most of the issues seem to have been at least partially mitigated through firmware updates, I still find myself having to put them back in the case, only to take them out 3 seconds later, up to 3 times, to get the ANC and touch controls to work reliably. They indeed sound like a 15-20$ pair of wired earbuds (mainstream, not miracle Chi-Fi) out of the box. However, using the proper AutoEQ preset with Wavelet on Android makes them more than acceptable, to me, for casual listening.
I was also influenced by the hype around the (1)s and got them as soon as they were available... I sent them back after 1 week. Truly horrible user experience.
i own them and i dont have almost any problems, a few times they gave me an heart attack, but solved the issue quickly. i still like them and use everyday, for 80$ they are worth it. maybe you got unlucky with them or weren't to carefull.

@@RemedieX It's indeed mostly about the overall convenience package; ANC was also a must for public transport. I own technically stronger IEMs and headphones, but those wouldn't satisfy my daily use (especially fitment with IEMs, in-ears rarely fit comfortably in my freakish ears).

I was hyped to try the Ear(2), but they sounded thin and odd to me. After a LOT of testing I came to the conclusion that they simply don’t fit in my ear. They just fall out all the time, no matter what plug I’m using.. They’re too shallow for me. Since they don’t fit my personal ear shape, the crucial to sound seal isn’t air tight, and the whole sound experience is thrown out the window… If I manually force them into my ears and keep them there, they sound pretty alright, and I can get an idea of what they actually are designed to sound like.

Really appreciate this upload. Could you consider covering more wireless IEMs? I’ve noticed there’s a lot of people asking for this in your comment sections. As you know, the bluetooth earbuds (in-ear) market has exploded over recent years. There’s an incredible amount of misinformation and misunderstanding floating around. I guess the same could be said for any audio products. I hope you can consider measuring the bigger releases, focusing on the premium products. I’ve seen you do this with Galaxy Buds, AirPods Pro and Sony’s XM series, for example. I hope you consider keeping a closer eye on this market and covering these every so often. It is incredibly appreciated as there’s too much junk to sift through and not enough reliable sources to get objective info like measurement data, for example. A great example is Technics AZ80 and JBL Tour Pro 2. I saw your measurement for an older Technics wireless IEM (AZ70) and they don’t seem all that good. We are very curious to know if Technics has changed their tuning as this is an extremely solid earbud in all other categories. But I can’t find measurements anywhere for these. 0DiBi has a video and measurements for JBL Tour Pro 2 and they look amazing. Tuned to Harman and the in-app EQ is God tier. I rarely see an in app EQ with so many bands (10?) but also allows you to move any band left or right changing the center frequency to boost or cut! Just amazing. So with their straightforward and smooth tuning, an EQ like this seems that it would be possible to tweak the signature as you please. Really interested to hear educated opinions on this pair. Unfortunately, 0DiBi’s video is in Korean with no English subtitles, for now. A shame.
Pittvandewitt is such a cool guy. I love him. Every time I buy new earbuds he sends me a nice customized Wavelet file that makes cheap stuff sound way more balanced.
I hope you also review their (stick) products. I find the rubber tips irritating to my ears, and the plastic teardrop shape works the best. So i always look at earphones of that shape, even if they're not the most premium product.
I liked the Ear 1 for a few months but they don't hold up well. After a year, they don't like to dock properly, and they frequently pause themselves when I'm not touching them. Also, if you lose one you can't just replace one. Hopefully these things aren't an issue with Ear 2. Not sure if I want to risk it.

This is one of the reasons I like wireless neckband adapters. Sure, you don't get ANC, but you do get better battery life, a reduced risk of losing an earphone because it fell out, and the manufacturer can just tune the output of the DAC and amp to be basically flat and leave all of the more characteristic tuning to whoever makes the IEMs you decide to stick on it. I would like it if more companies decided to copy Shure and include a pass-through mode, since a lot of IEMs can offer anywhere from 10 to 26dB of passive noise isolation.

If you are reviewing these pop headphones as someone really into sound you probably won't like them, but people said the same thing about raycons and a lot of average people just enjoy them anyway. There is a bit of a gap between the general market and enthusiasts. Personally I watch this channel passively, and Nothing's are one of my favourites. You can talk to me about graphs and why they aren't good, but at the end of the day I put them in my ears and I just enjoy the sound well enough. I'm happy they made them better, but ultimately a lot of people like me also buy them for the design, and they are very comfortable because of the size/weight. I'm not trying to crap on this review though, everything in it is technically correct.
@@PKM1010 yeah it's subjective and a lot of people haven't heard how good things can actually sound and average consumer doesn't know any better. Things like this aren't really targeted at the audiophile community. Just like anc headphones 90% of them are trash but they are aimed at people that travel and are willing to sacrifice sound quality for the added features. I just see straight through the nothing hype train but I get it they are trying to get the name out there and they have but right now they've done nothing that interest me but maybe in the future they will.
@@PKM1010 if you have a good pair of headphone (or iem) you can't go back. but yeah, i agree that general market don't care. but i think it's a positive movement to tell them what is good and what is bad, so the industry can have higher minimum bar.
@@PKM1010 saying "average people enjoy Raycons" for me translates to "average people are clueless about the potential and their enjoyment hinges on that lack of experience". Raycon isn't a product thats serviceable for the average person, its influencer-marketed garbage for people with little clue and too much trust in marketing.
@@PKM1010That's the whole point of this review and Crinacle as a whole: it's targeted towards audiophiles. Obviously, the negative comments here will come from people who are into audio, not the average fan. Besides, the average fan will most likely be watching people like MKBHD & Mrwhosetheboss anyway.
Yikes....I wanted these earbuds for the longest time and each time I nearly bought I cancelled my order. So glad I hesitated because I got the Liberty 4's instead and they're way better for the price!
I bought the Nothing Ear (1)s at the pop-up stall they had in Central London when they first came out. One of them fell out of my ear within the same week and 30 Mins later the audio was outputting at 2% the original volume. After getting a replacement pair they errored in the exact same way, except this time they never even took a fall or any sort of damage. I had to get a refund as I didn't want to keep going through this. It's a shame, they sounded great for the price, but clearly they had some issues with manufacturing or perhaps how tough they were. In the end the whole situation put me off ever buying Bluetooth in-ears again. I just own over ears now.
I can understand what you said about the galaxy buds plus sounding weird and I found a way to make it sound more "open" and just better by changing the sound profile to dynamic in the Samsung app. I bought the buds plus 3 years ago and still using it today and with this setting I find it pretty good 👍

Besides, the average fan will most likely be watching people like MKBHD & Mrwhosetheboss anyway.
i thought my ear 1s were so good until i bought the Tin T3+............yeah
Crindentials = Nerd Supreme. Their housing looks cool.
Crin dismissing the earbuds for being earbuds is hilarious 😂
I hope you can review their microphones as well.
Yikes....I wanted these earbuds for the longest time and each time I nearly bought I cancelled my order. So glad I hesitated because I got the Liberty 4's instead and they're way better for the price!
I use old style corded 1980s Walkman style headphones for my phone.
It would be nice if there is Nothing Ear x Crinacle
Ah yes... They used the classic meteor crater tuning.
TWS makers just need to copy the FR of the Blon Z300 for a mass appeal sound, put the electronics and voila
A minute an a half in…Screw the review. You’re fucking funny. Getting a sub for that alone.
Why did Crinacle not want to support the earbuds? V confused
I can understand what you said about the galaxy buds plus sounding weird and I found a way to make it sound more "open" and just better by changing the sound profile to dynamic in the Samsung app.
I bought the buds plus 3 years ago and still using it today and with this setting I find it pretty good 👍
Thats the main points of one of his videos. I think it was a video about tuning. So I think when he shows graphs, he needs to use it on "stock".
my brother owns the (1) for less than a year and the mic part on the lft ear broke, so his ANC doesnt work, they just arent worth it and doesnt last
Where is the mom’s basement studio? I don’t feel at home 😂
If you buy 1 i won't get offended. This term i was looking for...❤❤❤
Nothing Ear 3 coming up tuned by Crinacle 😂
