Here is what I was trying to do: 1- A GPTs written by me, 2-It will send text generated by cgpt to google doc, and then a copy to the user, or a link for the user to download. I wonder how I could do that. I was stuck after the schema part. Like I mentioned the flow was different from what you have demonstrated.

It would be nice to see a video where data is imported into ChatGPT (for example an excel file in a shared folder) and then after some data analysis and manipulation of the data, the output excel file is exported again in a different folder or as a google spreadsheet. Do you think that is something that can be done with Zapier automation? Thanks!
You are welcome :). If you want to do this programmatically, it would be possible to use assistants API. I am not sure you can create oipenai assistants via Zapier as of now, but with assistants API, this is definitely possible. I will be creating some videos on using Open AI assistants in the coming days and i will try to explain the assistants API as much as possible.

Thanks for your time to make this. I was able to make a few today. I am having trouble getting the email body to contain all the results of recipes. Not sure if there is a text limit or if its chatgpt not working correctly.
Great to know you that you were able to make a few GPTs 👍. I ran into the email body issue myself and I was not able to add the whole script into the email body. It just added a line with the link to the script document. I am still exploring how to add more data from gpts to the email. If I get some success, I will let you know and maybe create a video about it as well :).
This is all very new and both zapier actions and GPTs are in beta so it is possible that some of the functionality is still not available.
I tried this and for some reason it worked 2-3x and then it stopped recognizing or connecting to Zapier. I think Zapier and OpenAI actions are buggy.
Yes… Gpt zapier automation is still in alpha so yes it is somewhat buggy. They are actively working on these connection so hopefully we would have a more stable product soon.

Is it possible to use zapier to take all my Square sales transactions, make a database/spreadsheet then another action to import expenses from bank API and connect a custom GPT to create profit/loss statements from the data as well as provide insights about the sales data?
Yes. It is totally doable. You can use google sheet to collect the data from your square sales transactions and your bank statements. You can then use a program like botsheets or something similar (see product hunt) that can take this sheet as an input and then will use ai to analyze your sheets and give you insights.
Custom GPT/Zapier does not transfer the full text from the GPT to a Google Doc. Even in your video the script you asked it to save in a Google Doc is cut off in the Google Doc. I set up a similar GPT/Zapier integration and found that only 873 characters (incl. spaces) of any text are transferred from GPT to the Google Document. So there is a character limit, which makes this automation only useful for very short texts.
Or is there a way to resolve this character limit?
Sorry.. I am not sure how to do it. Zapier is in alpha mode and there are still some hiccups when we use zapier actions. Try using zapier central and see if that helps replace your query. I will do video on zapier central also pretty soon.
@@sandeepkaistha Zapier central also didn't resolve that. I wonder if there is another tool I can use for my GPTs to transfer texts to Google Docs. I also wonder what the point is to have a Zapier Action where you can transfer text to Google Docs, but then can only transfer very short texts.
