BAND-MAID and The Warning first met at the Aftershock Festival in 2022, and that initial connection really sparked the idea for collaboration. When The Warning traveled to Japan in June, they dove into working on their song "Show Them." KANAMI from BAND-MAID had created a demo, and they engaged in a creative back-and-forth, sharing ideas and refining the song together. They focused on themes of female empowerment and collaboration, making sure to incorporate elements that resonated with both bands. Working face-to-face helped them navigate cultural differences and fine-tune the lyrics until they felt the song captured their collective vision. The energy was palpable, especially when they performed "Show Them" live in Tokyo. Fans were thrilled to see both bands on stage, celebrating this powerful collaboration. There’s also an excellent vlog on The Warning's channel that shows their meeting in Japan and the behind-the-scenes work on the song. It really captures the excitement and camaraderie between the bands during the process.
So TW and B-M met at a US festival in 2022 and said they should collaborate. They got that opportunity this year. TW went to Japan and played three shows, one with Band-Maid. TW traveled to Japan two weeks early to write/compose/record with B-M and record a MV. They then played it together at their one concert together. In an interview on the PRS channel, Kanami and Dany said that more collaborations are in the future. Kanami wants B-M to go to Mexico and and Dany wants the collab to be in Spanish. Dany and Kanami play similar PRS guitars in the same color. There is now a behind the scenes video of the two bands together on TW's YT channel.
Quite possibly the greatest collab of all time! The Warning released a behind the scenes video of this collab aa well that is worth watching. So wholesome and fun and a bit emotional.
Great collaboration. So great to see how much fun they had together. • The lyrics are a really strong empowering message IMHO • I like that they did not try to do too much, which on one hand makes the music a bit less complex than either band’s other offerings, but it makes it that 8 players can play it and make it clean. It would be really easy to make a big'ol hot mess of this if they all tried to do too much. • The trade-offs really point out to me that each of the instrumentalists are so individually skilled and approach their parts in slightly different ways. No winners or losers. No battle. Just a lovely 4 or 8 beat display of the variety of approaches and talents for a solo section. • It is nice and compact at 3:21. I have seen plenty of collabs over the years which turn into rambling oeuvres that don't go anywhere musically. This one just feels nice and tidy to me.
The two bands met in 2022 at the Aftershock Festival, and immediately hit it off. Earlier this year the Warning was touring and had concerts in Japan planned. They and Band Maid decided to do a song together, record it, make a video of it, and then perform it live in Tokyo. They did a dual concert in June 2024. The Warning performed first, then Band-Maid, each doing about a dozen songs. Then they filled the stage with both bands and did Show Them live. There's a behind the scenes video shot by the Warning (on their channel) about their time in Japan with Band-Maid.
I traveled to Tokyo from California to see two awesome bands play together! It was a great show! The Warning olated fur almost an hour, then Band Maid did the same. Fur the encire, both bands performed this song together! It was even better live.
Check out the short (0:31) but sweet video of them meeting at Aftershock in 2022. Thought it was very generous of Band-Maid to have Dany start the song with that amazing belt! 🔊🔥🤘
In the beginning there was 2 bands, *BAND-MAID* from Japan and *The Warning* from Mexico, and in 2022 they was invited to play at the *Aftershock* Festival, there they met for the first time, and 2 years later a Collaboration was created.
Welcome back! Both bands are big fans of each other. BTW - there's a behind the scenes video of this collab on The Warning's channel Was lucky enough to be at their joint concert in Tokyo where they live debuted this song. Me & GF flew 6,000 miles from oHio to Japan! We spent 10 days in Japan. We stayed 5 days in Kyoto & Tokyo each with day trips to Osaka & Himeji. Was an amazing concert & trip! Was an experience we both will cherish forever! Really hoping that they release an official live video of this from that concert too!
my favorite 2 Rock bands of the 2000's fun fact: both bands formed on the same year (2013) and celebrated their 10th Anniversary last year with amazing concerts.
"With" is the operative word here. Not "Featuring." One of the best rock collaborations you'll see because it's 8 talented musicians from two different cultures and native languages with great music and respect for the other band in common.
Some folks notice a similarity in the bass outro to Ale's outro in "Survive". They wonder if it's paying homage to The Warning that way. Maybe? I've listened to both and while not identical, there is some similarity.
They should react to the vlog that The Warning made with Band Maid, there they show the behind the scenes on stage, how they managed to create the song, a bit of the cultural shock, the respect that the girls have for each other, they should react more often to their vlogs that they call "Aftermovies", if you want to see The Warning's vlog with Band Maid I'll leave the link here and some other vlogs of theirs. 1.- The Warning with Band Maid in Japan vlog: th-cam.com/video/G-EuJYUUe5E/w-d-xo.htmlsi=09e0K7DF7_mrZfvi 2.- The Warning - Japan Tour Aftermovie: th-cam.com/video/91qHvfh2Etw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=RBrGKNFAuAw75UDM 3.-The Warning - Tokyo Aftermovie: th-cam.com/video/6_JaKiZegqo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=tCa5DznwMO9ONnsv 4.- The Warning - Osaka Aftermovie: th-cam.com/video/JBO6ao-KsGI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=L1uHIo5ZLeiASLv7 5.- The Warning supporting Muse CDMX 2023 Aftermovie: th-cam.com/video/lDclWae0YbY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=4GCxzIIATWJksPxz 6.- The Warning supporting Muse Plymouth, UK Aftermovie: th-cam.com/video/d8uRuq_QgeY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=i3gV2RTn6fVsA5Pu 7.- The Warning opening for Muse Lyon, France Aftermovie: th-cam.com/video/q7Xedpe_r4Y/w-d-xo.htmlsi=H33AtQWlg3a1xJ1j 8.- The Warning opening for Guns N Roses Aftermovie: th-cam.com/video/LSKV6kEiCmA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=pSH5V-BO3-9HQoNm 9.- The Warning Direct Support - Foo Fighters CDMX: th-cam.com/video/PC8mSE9gi-Q/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ssGFFbbrUsrjX7PB 10.- The Warning - ROYAL BLOOD SUPPORT: th-cam.com/video/avm1crKWjPg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=zGpv2BYHuEbmatCc 11.- The Warning MTV VMA´s Aftermovie: th-cam.com/video/qRgOl_x_gqI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=l3pDO-83IH4r4-5t 12.- The Warning LA vlog (activate subtitles): th-cam.com/video/GepT1EVIic4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=XmaUC4VgV15xdJYo 13.- The Warning - Berlin, Germany Show Aftermovie: th-cam.com/video/dv9z36NX0yQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=wT8iC40QWMHX6CvW 14.- The Warning Europe Tour part two Aftermovie: th-cam.com/video/xrlP0PpeI_U/w-d-xo.htmlsi=bMfpV32rCVdHHUrv 15.- The Warning Glasgow, Scotland Aftermovie: th-cam.com/video/DWBV-889v3E/w-d-xo.htmlsi=0X6tS1japtYTJa-M 16.- The Warning - Sudamérica Tour Aftermovie: th-cam.com/video/JhFhWCzxU5o/w-d-xo.htmlsi=KhyJnYJAPZlTebgu
You know, between the two, there is more money in instruments than most people see in a year. Admittedly, they get a lot of "promotional consideration" including totally free... but in retail value, yeah. Those PRS custom jobs are five figures USD each, for example... and I don't even want to think about what the bass guitars go for.
I am not a fan of the song, but I love the reactions and smiles to the song. It was a great opportunity for TW to see Japan. I hope it is a hit in Japan.
Can y’all react to crawling by linkin park live 2017 next? Trust me when you hear it live you immediately want to cry. Chester goes out to the crowd and sings right in their faces. It’s so emotional and beautiful. I’m sure you will love it. Please do it next. I believe it’s somewhere in England or the Netherlands. I forgot if anyone can remind me.
It's on Band Maid's new album 'Epic Narratives' and it's possibly my least favourite track. Shoot Me 😁ForbiddenTale, The One and Letters To You are for the moment my 3 favourite tracks and I'm still struggling to decide if this is now my favourite BM album over my long time favourite Conqueror. Saw Uncle Yoshi's review of the Nagoya show earlier in which they played the whole of the new album and he says Show Them is brilliant live, no surprise there then.
I really don't like it either, it doesn't have either of the bands strengths showcased at all. It's a fun quirky first watch but not really a good song you'd put on your playlist
@@dazedandconfused318 and I absolutely love this song, the song itself and as well the story and message behind it. For me my least favorite on the album is Memorable, followed by Bestie.
This is weird for me to watch.. I'm really not a fan of Band Maid. They're really good. I'm just used to The Warning melting a stage. It's was strange for me. 🌎✌️
Check out The Warning vlog of the collaboration on this song and just hanging out and having fun together.
ooh I 2nd this! So good! They coulda made it an hour long & I woulda still enjoyed it!

This is a good collab, two great bands going at it, in their journeys on the rock world for recognition and domination

They have talked about it. I went to Tokyo to see them perform together. They mentioned it there.

Dany's opening vocal climb was a huge surprise. This was a great colab.

!!!GOODISM¡¡¡ BAND-MAID + The Warning is 100% 🔥 !!!🎵Ole Ole Ole Oleeee Warning/BAND-MAID🎵¡¡¡. Greetings from Argentina.
Less "battle" and more "musical conversation" - basically an entire freaking song that plays on the guitar/bass "conversations" between Kanami & MISA.
The video that The Warning did about this is excellent
Some folks notice a similarity in the bass outro to Ale's outro in "Survive". They wonder if it's paying homage to The Warning that way. Maybe? I've listened to both and while not identical, there is some similarity.
Hi Hugo! Great choice, Jasmine.

This is always my reaction to more Warning or Band-Maid content: "MORE! MORE!" :)
great reaction to a great song from two great bands

Dany joked that their next collaboration should be in Spanish but at a much slower tempo.
It is a cool song, and a fun video.
Love the reaction and the ny jet shirt even though its been a rough going this year.

If you are ever having trouble trying to pick a Warning song I would recommend PSYCHOTIC from the Lunario show in 2017. It's quite a thing to behold.

Pearl Jam MTV Live Black would be a good one.
