I’ll second that. Was at Wal Mart the other day and told this guy that I thought that the only two groups that came together organically ( not picking from other bands ) were Rush and Zeppelin. He asked me are you comparing them to Led Zeppelin and my response was Yes I Am. He said I’ll have to check ‘em out. He won’t be disappointed.
They really know how to strike the right balance, although it can be a bit awkward at times. But their music really has the power to make everything be OK.
We can thank Saiki for this one, she told Kanami that she wanted an instrumental as the first song on their album "Unleash" (the album coming out of the pandemic lock down). Kanami doesn't fool around when Saiki tells her to do something. Thanks for continuing to react to Band-Maid. Great reaction and like that you isolate the different tracks to hear what's going on, it sometimes difficult to hear through all the layers.
Many of us saw Band-Maid play “From Now On” live. OMNG! Kanami riffed her ass off. The DB’s matched the BPM’s! So FROM NOW ON, Band-Maid will grow in popularity even faster as their awesome, sold out 10TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR wrapped up at Japan’s 17,000 seat Yokohama Arena on Nov. 26 and at Hong Kong. AND they dropped their new album, Epic Narratives, Sept. 25. Order now! The Maids are one of the hardest working supergroups in the business! Their music, their sound, each of the Maids... and the love that permeates their live events is an experience not to be missed. Hope you can catch them LIVE! Thx, SB!
First there was Johann Sebastian Bach then came Ludwig van Beethoven and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and now we have Kanami Tono, joining with the world’s best composers. 🙃😉😉😇😇
This is what would happen if a time traveller went back and explained the concept of a modern quartet (drums, bass, lead and rhythm guitar) for JSB and asked him to write some music for such a quartet. (Old JSB even threw in some piano and violin to have something familiar to lean on while getting to grips with such a futuristic quartet). 👍
Second time for you on this track, but I really appreciate you isolating instruments. It’s when you can get a better idea of how much work they out into their songs. This is the track that changed everything for me. It’s a statement piece. And I promise you will be well rewarded the more you dig into their catalog. Good grief. You’re in for a treat. Watch out for these titles: “Blooming” “Puzzle” “secret My lips” “DICE” These are the ones where writers, arrangers and engineers cheer the most
Yes, Kanami was providing the vocals with her PRS guitar. Some song suggestions for you are Moratorium, No God, Rinne, Onset, Without Holding Back, About Us, Play, Why Why Why, Clang, and Matchless Gum. Their latest live videos from Yokohama Arena are incredible. Don't You Tell Me and Hate are straight up bangers with guitar vs bass duels, and Endless Story is a tear jerker that even choked up the lead singer, Saiki, and the drummer, Akane, since it was the last song of their 10th year anniversary tour. Also, they just released a collaboration with The Warning called Show Them which is a must listen.
New sub. Thanks for your excellent analysis. You added to my appreciation of this track by the greatest proper rock and roll band of the 21st century IMHO.
from JAPAN. Thank you for your reaction to BAND-MAID. I subscribed to your channel in the hope that you would give me more BAND-MAID reactions.Best regards, and thank you in advance.
5:24 Yeah, this is bigly my experience when listening to singing in another language 🎶👩🏽🎤 Over many years of listening to elsewhere, I'm not usually very concerned with what's being said 🔤 Mostly I just turn the subtitles off, now 🔘 However, Band Maid's HATE? does have some fun lyrics 😼 and did clue me in a bit to the manicness of that song 🤸🏽♀
I laughed when you said it interesting that there are no vocals because the guitars are the vocal. My Favorite BM shirt is Kanami holding her guitar up while shedding and the print state "Shut up Kanami is speaking"
Is it my imagination or did you have a show called Audio Lunch with another guy? If you did wasn't this video on that show? Just curious, maybe l'm hallucinating. Whatever, I never get tired of this, glad I own hard copies of all their stuff.
Great song, but let's be honest, the guy talking adds about zero insight. I would expect a sound engineer to speak about the sound engineering (or anything else for that matter.)
All I can hear is Mozart.......the piano is there throughout, and the violin accompaniment of MISA's bass solo is terrific
Masterful song 🔥❤️ Kanami is pure genius 🔥❤️ Lovin’ Band-Maid 🔥❤️
From Now On it's about time BAND-MAID were recognised as one of the best Hard Rock bands of this or any other century. Just saying.😁

@JBVandriver136 Hey that's cool. I hope you've got BAND-MAID another new fan.👍

Totally agree.👍.
Thats how the best rock band on the planet does it !!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for supporting our Maids Matt!🍺😁🤘🏻🕊️
Did anyone else get goosebumps listening to that???????????????
Do pigeon bumps count?.
Every single time I hear it....
The first time I heard this song it was live. I was so overwhelmed, I just thought to myself, "What is going on?"
Every time!
🤘😝🤘
always..

You nailed it, bass and drums are foundations of band maid.
The GOATS.
Hip-Hop This! That is Music right there!

If Mozart wrote rock it would have sounded like this.@@glacieractivity
Misa composes her own bass lines as Akane does so with the drums.
I really liked the way you isolated the instrument tracks. Never seen another reaction video do that. 👍

If you liked this one check out 'Without Holding Back'. They don't hold back in that one!
That was so cool that you isolated the tracks for us midflight. That's the mark of great sound engineer.

Thanks so much for sharing!
💜💛❤💙💚
As I use to comment on this video: Kanami🥰took the vocals in her own hands on this one.
Wish Akane had more screentime right after MISA's solo.
Well that was a quick subscribe.
*Soo nice*

Wait till you hear BAND-MAID Unfair game 2016 . Heavy with one of Kanamis best guitar solos. Put on your seat belt .

I could swear you already reacted to this one with your buddy....
You're correct. Their channel "Audio Lunch" reacted Feb 8th 2024. However, they didn't isolate instruments.
Best Wishes. ☮
