Higashino did very good in these games. She improved a lot on defence. Really impressed.
Watanabe was as brilliant as ever. truly the most gifted player atm

Not sure why Huang Dong Ping has a go at her partner when she too makes mistakes and should have done better in that final rally. Gratz to Watanabe/Higashino, seem to be playing well so far, good luck in their next game!
Huang didn't realize that she made a lot of deadly mistake instead she thought she was doing so well to yell at her partner.Same as how she deal with her previous partner.

To be fair with Feng, there is a huge sideways drift and that could have landed in. When you are in a match point down situation and your opponent is on the floor plus the shuttle is high on the mid court, it is better to just put it away directly to the opponent on the floor. The problem is that Yuta is so good on defense even when lying down as Steen mentioned lol
okay before anyth else I jst want to clarify that im a yuta/arisa fan. I really don’t understand why are there so many people suddenly hating on hdp, she has always been a great player and now suddenly she’s getting flamed for “scolding her partner”??? look, im not saying scolding your partner is the right thing to do, but I doubt hdp was scolding feng, u could see her smile right after her “scolding” while walking towards the net. If u watched mix dbls long enough u would know that hdp tends to look aggressive when encouraging her partner (wyl previously) and sometimes u can hear her clearly that she’s encouraging not scolding, I understand that people can misunderstand her but I really don’t think it’s right to judge her as a player just from that zz
aw fair, it looks bad on screen though, sadly. And I guess the commentator isn't helping matters. But yea, on replay it does look like she was telling him that last one he smashed was out xD Unfortunately it looks aggressive and can definitely be misconstrued
1:09:21 This moment she truly expressed her outrage to her partner. That’s interesting to interpret her gesture and attitude as “encouraging” people. TBH, no one would like to be “encouraged” in this way unless the psyched. The later smiling was obviously done because she finally noticed that their opponents saw her and what she did was recorded in a worldwide live broadcasting event. However, she should have not bothered much as old viewers all know she had bad attitude towards partners issues for years.
@@Aragorn333im nt gna deny it looks like she was scolding her partner for that particular moment, they lost, obvsly she cant be encouraging him at that pt of time but im jst saying even when she it encouraging her partner she tends to look like shes scolding him. also idt her “smile” was put on fakely bc incase u didnt know dongping is q close w higashino as friends outside of the court and yuta/arisa has alw played against wyl/hdp so both pairs are great friends.

Feng indeed has some work to do but this is relatively new pair, excited to see what will they bring forward in the coming tournament. good work though for both pairs. enjoyed it

Huang Dong Ping is the most arrogant XD player in the circuit right now. In her mind, it's always her partner's fault but never hers. She used to yell at Wang Yilu (her previous partner) a lot, too. I suspect that's why Wang Yi Lu didn't want to partner with Huang anymore.
