Quick question… is this the base sync 4 or sync 4 with enhance voice recognition? I’m ordering a truck next week and want the wireless CarPlay. Just curious if this had the $300 upgraded sync for or base model? Thanks
This would be the standard Sync4, so you'd still have wireless CarPlay! The enhanced gives you the ability to change songs, radio stations and other things using your voice. But really.. if you're connecting through CarPlay anyways.. just use Siri
No way that I know of for that to be shown on the Sync4 screen. The direction (NE, NW etc) would be in the cluster screen above the steering wheel though
Hi there my car is ford pickup f150 2021 with the same screen , but how to connect to my home wifi . I couldnt find ,, manage your wifi on that screen . Help is needed thanks alot.
Hey! If you go to Settings --> Connectivity you'll be able to add in your wifi network at home. If the truck isn't picking up the network you'll need to move the truck closer or get a different router for better signal strength
If you have factory navigation you don't need to worry about having a phone connected to use maps! The only time you'll need to make sure your phone is connected is if you use Android Auto or Apple Car Play for Google Maps/ Apple Maps or Waze
You’d have to run android auto or Apple car play and use navigation on your phone. So yes, you’d need to make sure that your phone is connected to use either Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze through the middle screen
Hey, do you have any idea on build times for 21 f150s? I placed my order on September 15th 2021 and got my window sticker and build date of November 11 2021. It's been "in production" since November 11th without any change. And now the estimated build date doesn't show up on the tracker. How can it be being built for 4 months and no updates?
There’s most likely a holdup at the plant for a chip or part that isn’t available yet. What’s the full build you went with? Has the dealer updated you with anything from the plant?
@@CarsWithSteve yup, that's what it was! It just got to the dealership today. Stuck waiting for the chip for a few months.. And I went with a Xl with the stx package. Added the V8, 3.73 axle, fx4, max tow, with all the tow technology stuff. Oh and it's the supercab in Oxford white.
If your truck doesn't have the received built in you could always install it aftermarket or just download the SiriusXM app on iPhone or Android and play over bluetooth
Hey Steve I’m building a xl and when I upgrade the sync 4 to the enhanced version it adds the bigger display on the dashboard. Is this accurate?
