I've had mine plugged in for about a year and it doesn't "explode" nor overheat, the Delorean floats fine forever. It makes for an awesome display to show off!

Part 3: The Floating Delorean Base upgrade: The Infinity base, keep it on the base forever. Maybe with tear down, reverse engineering with some other TH-camr (Adam Savage, ElectroBOOM or Simone Giertz, etc ) and fixing the heat issue :D
Who cares about the steering wheel being too close, IT'S A LEVITATING DELOREAN FFS! They're really expensive nowadays and hard to obtain if you don't want to spend over a thousand dollars 😩
Good thing I watching part 2 lol once I finally got it to float I told myself I was never taking it off lol didn't know about the hazard. Mine was left hovering for a week with no problems but I am not gonna chance it lol.
Got a floating ufo and had a world hovering globe and nothing about them overheating and never get unplugged and no overheating issues what so ever. Its the first I have read this. So shows if that's the case poorly built.
By the way, what’s the difference between taking the car of the base and still have it plugged in and letting the car floating while plugged in? Or do I need to unplug it all the time it’s not in use?
I own one too. Will your DeLorean still float? Do you hear a clicking sound when the ring light turns on? I floated it for the first time in a while yesterday. I couldn't float today. Is it true that electronic circuits melt? Maybe my base is broken. Do you know how to fix it?
This model is now showing up on TikTok for $62 or £55 is it still the same one?? They give you a choice of the standard or flying version so I’m guessing they’ve split the kit up?
Same as the hovering planet's and moon's the power through the magnetics creating the EMF cuts out easy enough to make people wanting a 1000 bucks on ebay for them the now so alot making there own from old magnetic basses! I'm away to try one with a 1.24 scale or a model kit then I'll be able to detail it myself but if you get the small magnets like laser pen battery size ut will hover just turn the magnetic upside down it'll change polarity when electric charge runs through it creating emfs!.easy to make it for 40 buck's
@@ErfonElijah if it overheats its crap. Got other floating gadgets and never mention overheating. It's due to crap power supplies I think. Got mine running on 13.5 volts and does not get hot. With the orginal power supply cut off after 3 hours. Put it on the stand and lights would not stay on. Using my 13.5 volt power supply LEDs will stay on and at 13.5 volts still floats

Also, if the power goes out in your home the car will slam onto the base and dent the mirrored plant form.

Maybe the base gets so hot because they are using defunct AirPower mats inside to provide electricity.

You can leave the base plugged in but you are not supposed to leave the car floating on it when you’re not around. They say it can overheat
