Just the fact you can read the LED numbers on the time circuit panel - that’s amazing. Next to shrinking a real movie replica Delorean - it doesn’t get any better
It genuinely warmed my heart. Having been watching Adam for so many years it's so cool to see him get excited about stuff like this. Like a kid in a candy store with this one lol
I love mine - when I did my own unboxing ... it was like being a kid again, and all my Christmases had come at once! I love the detail of it - keep looking in at the interior ... it never gets old. :)
I love your excitement! To be as brilliant as you are and to have such a wonderful attitude is amazing. Smart people sometimes tend to be very rude or snarky. I absolutely love the videos and content you create. I'm jealous of the DeLorean! I'd love to have my own for my garage! Have a good one and keep making these fun and interesting videos!
If paying several hundred dollars, Id expect there to be a mode to light up the sides blue for when its getting to 88 mph. (I wouldn't be surprised if someone makes a kit.)
I'm so glad your video popped up in my feed. I spent many years watching your content on TV and loved it. These videos bring back the nostalgic feeling of getting excited for the next Mythbusters episode.
😆 Adam, you get me giggled when you get so happy when thing come together ❤️ I love watching the whole crew working together. Fab work and guaranteed a giggled 😂
Hey Adam, I’d love to see you visit the Hot Toys company! I’d like to see how they go through the process of creating/making their fantastic 1/6 scale figures.
@@Ricardo-cl3vs Well, there is a pretty huge human component to these sort of collectibles. I once took a tour of McFarlane Toys a few years ago and almost all their staff are either sculpting & designing new models, or they're hand painting the final product. The only part of the process where items are produced in bulk, is the items themselves, however all painting and assembly is done by a human. No robots. When you pair that with the actual Licensing deal.... things get expensive REAL quick. They build just enough to fulfill pre-orders, then they make enough for online orders and they keep a few to sit on a shelf for a rainy day. They set a limit of production units, save for any extra parts for any warranty claims and even those who will eventually break their toys. And then thats it. Once that production limit has been reached - they stop making more until there's one day where they get a new license that allows them to produce more. Its why a lot of these toys/collectibles are always sold out on their websites. They make just enough to satisfy their production costs which is why you're spending hundreds or thousands of dollars on them. If you dont buy them when they're available for pre-order - you're never getting one or you're paying scalped prices.
I spent quite a few hours sitting in that "A" Delorean... as Tom WIlson's stand-in for the Universal Back to the Future, the Ride... So nostalgic for me.. . I think I should have one...!
I know the guy who helped design and get film accurate detail for the Eaglemoss version and the details on that are far superior to the Hot Toys version. It’s just a shame it’s not as big and had to be made over 100 parts with a subscription. There are also companies that make add ons for those models that make them even more realistic. Mike Lane is one and Model Modz is the other.
Marvelous video review. Watching professional nerds is my favorite hobby besides being the owner of all the time travel machines that will ever exist 😝
I just realized something. In comparison to a picture from a book I have about the making of the trilogy, that DeLorean may actually be close to scale to the original ILM model miniature used for the fly mode sequences in the second film.
It's possible that they molded it from the original ILM model. Some model companies work very closely with movie makers and are able to get access to the SAME equipment used to cast the models!
I have the 1/8th scale BTTF Delores from Eaglemoss, but it's made from real steel with that brushed stainlesss stell finish, which is amazing. That thing is properly heavy, it nearly weighs 30 pounds
Both guys being children at heart however, both very different at unboxing. On just ripping everything off the second wanting to savour every second. The shock of ripping the plastic off. Priceless.
There seem to be multiple reports of QC issue with this 1/6 vehicle, from Hot Toys, with the breakage on the hover conversion wheel axle breaking. @Adam Savaage's Tested Did this occur with yours as well?
Tested should do more videos on less expensive toys and collectors items. Seeing all the expensive stuff is cool but it is also awesome seeing what someone can do with a cheap version of something.
Agreed. Items us mortals could actually consider buying some time. Items like these are cool, but let's face it: 99% of us will never be able to afford it.
Adam is so wild, careless and clunky handling these kinds of pieces. I hope it's Adam's time machine because if it's Norm's, I'm sure he was close to having a heart attack watching Adam manipulate everything with his super dirty hands, slamming the door, taking the protective plastic from the windshield so carelessly😂😧
I do like the 80s Mall aesthetic for the stand legs, but it really is begging for a handmade strong, more hidden, cantilevered stand to really make it look like it's flying. And yes, Norm is right, it needs a little something extra like the Bunting, out of wire for pose-ability.
Gotta say, I was massively relieved when Adam finally adjusted that left rear wheel to the fully extended position when he walked around to that side after they turned it on. My OCD was KILLING me. 😂
I love these things. But I always feel they need a touch-up with the paints kit, to sort out the plastic look some parts of these collectors pieces seem to invariably have. Most often it's just a light touch-up & a couple washes to get the look right, but still.
I would have liked to have seen the blue light bars that light up when it goes 88mph actually light up on the model, it’s a pretty iconic look. Especially for the money. That’s my only disappointment, everything else is great.
When I was 5, I had a die-cast DeLorean from the Universal Studios gift shop. Since my favorite BTTF film is 2, I immediately found a way to flip the rubber wheels sideways to convert the car into a proper flying time machine 😁
A few years ago I got a 1/20 scale time machine by Kidslogic. It's basically a miniature version of that Hot Toys one but it can also float on a magnetic base. Back then they came out at 234$. The last batch they made were 300$+. th-cam.com/video/wR2H33OTL3A/w-d-xo.html
Very cool. Personally I would definitely take the protective plastic off last. I'd be too worried about accidentally scratching something like the windshield.
I was excited to finally watch this because I was hoping Adam would do an unboxing. The only issue I have is TH-cam plays this at 360p with no way to change the video quality. Of course I'm watching it on my phone. Hopefully it'll look better on a streaming device.
That Delorean is so awesome. I have a model kit Delorean waiting to be assembled as well. Only different scale as well. At the beginning of the video I firstly thought that there will be a remote control as well. And also I remembered when you Adam did with Jamie a myth with the police car in movie American Graffiti. I firstly thought that it will be this way as well. But still it's so very excellent as well.
I don't know if anyone else notices, but look at Adam's bench. He got that I think late 2021? It looks like it's been there a decade. There's Sharpie on the vise and paint, stains, cuts, bruises everywhere. This man works the hell out of his tools.
11:22 Oh good! They fixed the wheels! I remember when they released the announcement press shots, the wheels sat way below the body and it looked really bad. Weird that they even put that image on the picture that sits on the styrofoam in the box at 2:13
I remember at a junkyard back in 2002, in New Plymouth, Idaho, I saw a Fiero modified to look like the DeLorean from Back to the Future. It was a bit crude, but you got the gist of it right away. I don't recall if it was junk that was bought by the yard, or there as a PR gimmick.
The detail is amazing... 13:00 At first I thought they forgot the OUTATIME license plates, but when you watch the last scene in Back to the Future 1 as the DeLorean was backing up into the street then you'd see it has those exact new plates which look like a bar code style from the future (or our past, depending on your perspective... 😁 )

All sorts of cool parts and removable panels. The fun is building it,....for added fun I'd play sound effects recordings of engines revving,...race track sounds, while assembling it. Then the dilemma of where to best display it, and which your friends will be allowed to touch it. It was sturdy, but not enough for rough-housing with it. It was also a magnet for dust,....so keep soft, clean, hobbyist brushes around for delicate dusting, & canned air,....then deciding whether it will need a clear plastic enclosure, to protect it. ( That would require me creating one) Maybe consider suspending it with fishing line, from the ceiling. FUN!
Every day I’m more and more jealous of Norm. I wish I could trade places with you for just one day. Did it work? Nope, just a routine light switch check. Dang.

SO AWESOME!!!. I remember wishing for a real R2-D2 toy when I was younger and never getting it, but this DeLorean brings back the memories and now is on the bucket list of must haves! ❤😂
For people that don't have the money or space for this, there is a VERY nice Playmobil kit for $36 on amazon right now... BTTF 1, but with the folding wheels. Nice way to time travel on a budget.
Love the attention to detail! The bodywork looks a little flat though to me and doesn't capture the brushed stainless steel finish of the real thing. I have a 1:18 Sunstar model that seems to have a more realistic stainless effect.

(I would have been too!) Such an awesome piece!
SO AWESOME!!!. I remember wishing for a real R2-D2 toy when I was younger and never getting it, but this DeLorean brings back the memories and now is on the bucket list of must haves! ❤😂
Thank you Adam for correcting that rear driver-side wheel.
Love to see this turned remote control.
I love how giddy they get when they are opening up the box!
For people that don't have the money or space for this, there is a VERY nice Playmobil kit for $36 on amazon right now... BTTF 1, but with the folding wheels. Nice way to time travel on a budget.
6:46 SHEER ANXIETY MOMENT !!!!
Love the attention to detail! The bodywork looks a little flat though to me and doesn't capture the brushed stainless steel finish of the real thing. I have a 1:18 Sunstar model that seems to have a more realistic stainless effect.
I was perfectly fine not knowing I needed this.
