Fun Fact: For using the Wii Remote on Dolphin, I use my old Toy Story Mania (Plug N' Play TV Games) Sensor bar.
T O Y
@@ChipFanXO Yeah, because that Plug N' Play uses an Infrared (IR) Light Sensor Bar to play, and it works well with my Wii Remotes.
@@bingies24 Cool.
The Wii sensor bar is a device used with the Nintendo Wii gaming console. Despite its name, the sensor bar doesn't actually have any sensors in it. Instead, it contains a pair of infrared (IR) LEDs (light-emitting diodes) that emit infrared light. The Wii remote, also known as the Wiimote, has a sensor at the front that detects the infrared light emitted by the sensor bar.
Here's how the Wii sensor bar works:
Placement: The sensor bar is typically placed above or below the TV or display screen. It should be positioned where it is visible to the Wii remote.
Infrared Light: When the Wii console is turned on, the sensor bar emits infrared light. The light is not visible to the human eye, but the Wii remote can detect it.
Wii Remote Detection: The Wii remote has a sensor at the front that receives the infrared light from the sensor bar. By tracking the position and movement of the infrared lights, the Wii remote can determine its position relative to the sensor bar.
Motion Tracking: The Wii remote's accelerometer and gyroscope sensors combine with the information from the sensor bar to track the motion and orientation of the remote. This allows users to interact with games by pointing, swinging, and performing various motions with the remote.
It's worth noting that the Wii sensor bar is not essential for all Wii games. Some games rely more on button inputs and motion sensing capabilities of the Wii remote, while others may use the sensor bar for more precise pointing and motion tracking.
If you have any specific questions or would like further information, feel free to ask!
thks!!
"Son, the TV is on fire."
"I didn't take a break when the game told me to."
I know a trick kind of like this, and you don't need candles for it. I used to use a lamp for a sensor bar because I didn't have a sensor bar for my Wii. It's a bit jittery, but depending on the lamp,It works fine.

That one is not important it shall not be mentioned again fire is better
Imagine the Wii mote hitting that candle at breakaway speed because the strap broke. 😂
Because of the fact that it's all light based, I always kept the case off the remote, I find that it just gets in the way more often than not

Candles let off uv light. The wii remote is where the sensors are so nothing needs to be plugged into the wii.
@@elipgoan
OOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH Bro, I always thought the bar was reading signals from the remote and then sending them to the console via the wire.
I guess the cord is purely to power the bar, which emits infrared signals, which tell the REMOTE where the BAR is.
All the Wii remote is is a camera that's looking for those two dots roughly that distance apart, when it sees it it tells the Wii where to put the cursor
they used another sensor bar just edited it out
@@GuestPlayzGamezwtf are you on about? This literally works

Fun fact the sensor bar has no connection to the wii for data, the wii remote does all the work at calculating where it is then sending it to the wii.

The sensor bar is just reference point for the controller sensor to pick it up and be able to track where you are pointing it at

That is some true gaming science
In the settings there is an option that is like calibrate sensor bar I think but it shows you what the IR camera in the Wii remote can see.

Ohhh great wii lord come to us
note that in this video the sensor bar was on top of the screen and the candles at the bottom, you can go to settings and change the position of the bar for more accuracy (and actually recalibrate to even better results)
edit: and maybe use 4 little candles 2 on the right and 2 on the left for more precise ir light?

and thats why a battery powered sensor bar works as well as the sensor bar pot is just power for the wired sensor bar
