Great Explanation. Also, loved being able to see inside the breakers. Thanks

how can this prevent nuisance tripping?

There is no such thing. If you have "nuisance" tripping you either have a faulty breaker or you're overloading your circuit.

So why do they cost so damn much? It looks like a simple circuit board and capacitors. Pennies to manufacture. Somebody is getting rich.

Great demo, these dual faults should be mandatory everywhere assuming they work well.

Well they cause problems in older homes. They are required in California and they are great for new homes but a lot of older homes trip them constantly when retrofitted. Most cities will allow you to go without them.

They do have their issues, situations are different every time. For some reason LED lights will trip them sometimes, and other instances. All in all they are great devices, but maybe should choose an alternative frequency to be "tripped" by. Not just 1megahertz. This would solve the problem if that alternate frequency was changed to another that isn't as close in the frequency range as the 1MHz.

Rico702Vegas yeah since making this comment I’ve heard that the GFCIs can be trouble in a lot of cases.
