Great review.. I purchased the addon based on this, and its very powerful.. EXCEPT.. it doesnt work with Library Overrides. Still investigating how this will affect Frame Ranger working with linked rigs, but I'm hoping Blenderboi can get on top of this soon as its a major shortcoming.
Ah, not sure about that. You could try to ask him about that but he recently put all of his addons in maintenance mode and made them free. These Linking issues are often problems in Blender itself, rather than the addon.
@@CGDive I did. He confirmed. He does seem to think it might be a 3.4 limitation that might be fixed in 3.5, but just thought you should mention it in the review. Still a fantastic addon, and while he's made it available for free, don't mind paying for the features it adds to Blender.

Man, i'm in love with your content about rigging an animation Workflow for games, i've using and addon that calls animation layer ( that i believe should be in your Channel ) and is really awesome too. Where Can i share with You? some prívate work i did with it. Using mixamo library, mixamo addon, expykit for that operator set to range frames. And this new addon that You showing us seems to make the Job really great.
This addon is another proof that the developers of blender put rigging and animation stuff on the far shelf for the sake of other projects like GN, which is very sad. For example bone layer tab has not changed at all since version 2.5, if not earlier, which is generally a shame 😡😡😡. Sorry, but I have accumulated a lot of negativity about this
Yeah, bone layers are a pet peeve of mine too. Needs to be fixed asap, it's embarrassing. haha However, I think GN is a prelude to Everything Nodes which will enable new animation and rigging workflows. I've already seen people doing animation/rigging stuff with the current system.

I can't say for sure but I'd imagine so. Their features are not overlapping much.
